Watching the Dodo videos, for with each story of humans being the worst living beings, there are more people being so damn kind and caring, full of love and goodness.

Physical activity, be it walking, jogging, Yoga, stretches, cycling, or weight lifting.

Listen to songs about anything but California; when you really feel you need songs that shit about California, try also use music to hold to things you love in general.

Try finding landscapes you mind less and hate less in SoCal — is it the beaches on the Pacific? The desert regions? The freshwater rivers?

When the weather is pleasant, and the time fits, go for a walk so you can meet cute dogs!

The main premise of these is to not focus on the region/state you live in but rather, the place as in the nature, the landscape, the animals, ignore the administrative division, and instead, try to see it as something less concrete, and a bit more abstract: nature, people, good things happening.

Additionally, idk what's the state of California's quarantine/lockdown regulations right now, but if you have anyone you know and like living there, be it colleagues or people you befriended, try arranging some sort of meeting, maybe even online to keep the physical social distancing, but also keeping social closeness and regrouping. Even for those disliking Being With Other People, social interaction is important. If there are any people you don't mind talking to or be with, try finding time to meet them, if possible - in person, and if not - online.
