Lalique “Chrysis" Mascot - René Lalique - France
Beginning in the early 1920's to 1930's René Lalique, a French master glassmaker introduced a series of hood ormanets. Of the thirty designs produced one of the most highly sought after is the Lalique “Chrysis” Mascot.
The mascot can been seen on display above on a rare 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Aero Coupe. Although barely seen to the naked eye from afar, up close you can admire the craftsmanship of the glass work by René Lalique.
