La Vespa 160 GS Mk1 de Peter Maas

Il est vrai que j'ai longtemps oeuvré, dans le petit cercle fermé de la Vespa vintage. De cette époque me reste un Lambretta Li 150, une Motovespa 160GT et un 50 special de l'année de ma naissance, un héritage encombrant, certes, mais qui fait encore fantasmer mes enfants.

Des jolies coques en métal qui même si ma collection est composée de piéces mythiques, n'arrive pas à la hauteur de la Vespa GS 160, la plus élégante des Vespa jamais construite par la florissante société de Pontedera.

C'est en tout cas cette fameuse Vespa qu'a décidé de mettre en avant Peter Maas dans cette nouvelle vidéo de Petrolicious. Peter Maas est hollandais (personne n'est parfait), c'est un collectionneur mais aussi un businessman qui a fait de sa passion un commerce pointu et extrêmement rentable. Sa société, Maskes Vespa klassiekers, restaure, vend et propose des pièces détachées aux nombreux collectionneurs néerlandais et belge.

Modèle rare et coté la Vespa 160 GS MK1 de Peter Maas l'est d'autant plus, car elle a gardé sa peinture d'origine. Considérée, en 1962, comme le haut de gamme de Vespa, la GS160 MK1 aussi connu sous la dénomination VSB1T, ne peut vous laisser indifférents.

La guêpe dispose d'un moteur de 160cc qui propulse le pilote à 100 Km/h. Des courbes de rêve pour une gueule d'amour, qui ne doivent pas faire oublier l'extrême habitabilité de la machine qui, dispose de deux boîte à gants, classiquement au niveau du tablier mais surtout à l'arrière, une disposition unique dans l'histoire de la Vespa.
