From Haneda airport to Tokyo
Alright, so I talked about how to best get to Tokyo when traveling from Narita (not in Tokyo, but...close enough).
Now lets talk about the newer more convenient airport: Haneda Airport, otherwise known as Tokyo International Airport.
Not only is it actually IN Tokyo, but OAG.com, the travel intelligence company, recently reported that Haneda Airport was the most punctual airport in the world.  (http://edition.cnn.com/2017/01/04/aviation/most-punctual-airline-and-airports-2017/index.html)
Isn’t that nice? what better way to fly into an airport knowing they like to get things done.
Now if you’ve read my report on Narita, you know riding the limousine bus is a no-no. But things are different here, mainly prices. The airport limousine bus leaving Haneda will only set you back 1,000 yen! And takes roughly 1 hour to Shibuya area. But of course it all depends on where you’re getting off. Not to mention the buses run from 5:45am to 3:13am (heading towards (Shibuya area). Be sure to follow up exactly where you want to get off and available bus times by clicking here.
Trains of course are another viable option, especially if you want to feel more “local” (hahaha..)
Trains run from the early morning to the late evening, but not as late as the bus, so be careful. The two train lines you’re going to take is the Tokyo Monorail, or Keikyu Express. Both will take about 40-45 min. if traveling from the airport to Shibuya staiton (as opposed to 1 hour by bus). It will cost between 580 yen and 850 yen, again depending on which train you take.
For the price and best route check out hyperida.com, a must have when traveling around Tokyo/Japan.
So why not take the train if it’s faster and cheaper? You should know the answer to that. With the train, you will have to transfer lines, or cary your suitcase up and down stairs as some stations have no elevators or hide them really well!
The most important point to remember is what time you will arrive at the airport. If you are catching a train into the city at around 7:30-9:30am it’s peak rush hour. As a novice Tokyo traveler, you will get crushed. Will panic, be frustrated, and someone in your group will say, “I knew we should have taken the bus!” so save yourself the trouble and just take the bus.

Getting to Tokyo
Hello there, thinking of traveling, or already have plans to travel to Tokyo? Do you want to save money or travel efficiently? Let's talk. [From Narita Airport] The two most widely known means of getting to Tokyo from the airport is by airport limousine bus or narita express train. https://www.limousinebus.co.jp/en/bus_services/narita/index http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/nex/ However... One way can cost up to over 3,000 yen with either methods. Narita express does offer a 33% discount for foreigners buying round trip tickets (total round trip 4,000 yen), but that is still money that can be spent better. Not only that, but the airport limousine bus and narita express don't have many pick up times in the morning or evening. So what do you do if you arrive early/late or depart early/late? Recommendation: Access Narita Bus that departs and arrives at Ginza station and Tokyo station. They have buses running 24 hours and costs 1,000 yen one way. http://accessnarita.jp/en/home/ If you prefer train, use the Access Express operated by Keisei Railway that costs a little over 1,000 yen one way. http://www.keisei.co.jp/keisei/tetudou/skyliner/us/timetable/index.php
