The Sims 3 - Ocha Legacy Challenge!

Do you want to mix up your sims gameplay? Are you a tea lover? If so, welcome to the ocha legacy challenge! This is a ten generation legacy challenge loosely inspired by different types of Japanese tea (ocha).

This challenge has been slightly inspired by the not so berry challenge by @lilsimsie.

I will be posting my ocha legacy family on my blog too! You can view that here (still on gen 1 so haven't posted - yet).

Basic Rules:

Your sim must dress in accordance with their tea colour (I have taken some liberties with this due to the lack of varying colours in the Sims 3 and did not want to repeat colours)

Your sim must complete their lifetime wish

You must start the challenge in a starter home or empty lot

Your sim can live in any world and is free to move worlds throughout the challenge

Generation One: 抹茶 (Matcha)

You're quiet but effortlessly cool with an undeniable presence. You're minimalist and love the earth. People like to think you have your life together (whether that's true or not is up to you) and can't help but seem to be drawn to you. Your biggest passion though is being in nature and attending to your garden.

Lifetime Wish: Greener Gardens or The Perfect Garden (you could also do any of the Back to Nature lifetime wishes)

Colour: Lime

Traits: Green Thumb, Brooding, Irresistible, Loves the Outdoors, Eco-Friendly

Career: Gardener

Rules:

Master the gardening skill

Have a messy love life (or not)

Have at least 10 different plants

Complete at least one gardening challenge

Generation Two: ほうじ茶 (Houjicha/Roasted Green Tea)

You're incredibly laid back and take things slowly. You're incredibly talented at cooking and have decided a career in the culinary arts is the best pick for you. In your own time you always have your head in a book and are passionate about learning as many as recipes as possible, especially to feed to growing family.

Lifetime Wish: The Culinary Librarian

Colour: Orange

Traits: Nurturing, Natural Cook, Friendly, Family-Orientated, Bookworm

Career: Culinary

Rules:

Master the cooking skill

Marry as a young adult (you want to have a family asap)

Have two kids as a young adult and two as an adult (have twins or triplets if you dare)

You're a pretty chill person so you don't scold your children no matter how naughty they are (you can used this mod to control whether your sim scolds their kids - if you don't want to use mods ignore this rule)

Generation Three: 紅茶 (Koucha/Black Tea)

You're refined and prefer the finer things in life. These finer things include your art. You'll do anything to live an extravagant, rich life even if it means marrying rich to someone you don't like that much or mooching off other sims. Will you be able to live that life of luxury you've always desired?

Lifetime Wish: Living in the Lap of Luxury or Gold Digger

Colour: Spice Brown

Traits: Artistic, Neat, Snob, Proper, Mooch

Career: Painter

Rules:

Max the painting skill

Reach the top of the painter career

You must marry rich (you're a snob after all)

Decorate your home with at least 10 of your own paintings

Generation Four: 玄米茶 (Genmaicha/Green Tea with Toasted Rice)

It's all about the small things in life for you. Your job is just a secure means to an income so you can dedicate the rest of your time to animals. When you were little you noticed the amount of strays in your town and have always desired to give them a loving home. Will you be able to get by part-timing and provide for your animal family?

Lifetime Wish: The Animal Rescuer

Colour: Irish Green

Traits: Excitable, Gatherer, Easily Impressed, Good Sense of Humour, Animal Lover

Career: Grocery Store Clerk

Rules:

You're a gatherer so you may also sell whatever your sim gathers as an extra source of income

You may adopt two animals from a shelter as they count as strays, but the other four you must find on the street and befriend

Have at least three friends, your bubbliness is infectious

Become best friends with each of your pets

Generation Five :麦茶 (Mugicha/Barley Tea)

You're a no nonsense type of person with a bit of a temper. You're career orientated and don't care about what you have to do to reach the top of the ladder. Will your temper get in the way of your career progression? How is it going to affect your ability to connect with others?

Lifetime Wish: Star News Anchor

Colour: Yellow

Traits: Absent-Minded, No Sense of Humour, Charismatic, Hot-Headed, Workaholic

Career: Journalism

Rules:

Max the charisma skill

The only reason you have friends is to advance in your career, you don't hang out with them otherwise

Marry a coworker as a young adult and divorce them as an adult (they're getting in the way of your ability to focus on your career)

Have at least one girl (who will be your next heir)

Generation Six: 梅茶 (Umecha/Plum Tea)

You're the quiet, shy girl next door and you LOVE the colour pink! Your family have always passed down the story about how your great, great, great, great, great grandparent loved to live off the land and it's always been inspiring. So you decided the moment you graduate high school you're going to follow in their footsteps, including making all kinds of nectar from the fruits of your labour. Will you be able to make the best nectar in town? Will your hopeless romantic nature be a blessing or a curse for marrying your high school sweetheart?

Lifetime Wish: Bottomless Nectar Cellar

Colour: Pink

Traits: Born Salesperson, Hopeless Romantic, Good, Shy, Frugal

Career: Nectar Seller

Rules:

Have a romantic partner as a teenager and marry them as a young adult (and honeymoon in France)

Master the nectar making skill

You must only have nectar-related income (selling from inventory, at a consignment store or running a nectar store)

Build a nectar cellar!

Generation Seven: 煎茶 (Sencha/Green Tea)

You're very grounded and calm. You enjoy practicing mindfulness and peace into your daily life. You take things as they come. You take all these qualities in your stride when it comes to looking after your mind and body. Will you be able to reach the perfection of mind and body you're looking for whilst maintaining an inner peace?

Lifetime Wish: Perfect Mind, Perfect Body or Physical Perfection

Colour: Green

Traits: Athletic, Disciplined, Genius, Technophobe, Vegetarian

Career: Professional Sports, Military, Law, Medical or money from chess tournaments

Rules:

Master the logic skill regardless of lifetime wish

You must work out at least once a day

You may only date after reaching level 5 in logic and athletic or martial arts skill

Have a negative relationship with your kid (they hate how much you try to push your lifestyle onto them)

Generation Eight: ミルクティー (Milk Tea)

Your parent tried to force too much onto you at a young age so you'd rather just spend time alone in your room writing. Who knew that you could start making money from the fanfiction you started writing as a teenager? And what's more is that you think you've found your soulmate online too! Who knows where this could all lead...?

Lifetime Wish: Professional Author

Colour: White

Traits: Neurotic, Clumsy, Loves the Cold, Socially Awkward, Loner

Career: Author

Rules:

Max the writing skill

All your books must be named like they are fanfiction (e.g. Among the Stars ; MikaYuu AU)

Meet your potential lover through online dating

Oops! You got a bit carried away with your lover and now you're expecting a baby! Will you pursue a relationship with their parent or handle this on your own?

Generation Nine: 黒豆茶 (Kuromamecha/Black Bean Tea)

You're a player, you love to take risks, including woohooing around town. You're also a musician or a fortune teller, mainly to help aid in your wooing efforts. What kind of scenarios will woohooing the town present? If you accidentally have a child out of wedlock, what will happen then?

Lifetime Wish: Master Romancer

Colour: Black

Traits: Virtuoso, Flirty, Mean Spirited, Daredevil, Commitment Issues

Career: Music or Fortune Teller (Scam Artist Branch)

Rules:

Meet your woohoo partners through playing for tips or your clients

All your woohoo must be risky

Any children must be added to your household and you must teach them to walk, teach them to talk, and potty train them (you're not a deadbeat parent)

Never marry, you're not about that commitment

Generation Ten: 小豆茶 (Azukicha/Red Bean Tea)

You want to do good. You want to serve the people. You're going to be a firefighter! People say you're kind, sweet, nurturing personality as well as your bravery make you a perfect fit for the role. Are you going to be able to step up to the challenge of saving sims lives?

Lifetime Wish: Firefighter Super Hero

Colour: Red

Traits: Handy, Brave, Friendly, Nurturing, Loves the Heat, Lucky

Career: Firefighter

Rules:

Max the handiness skill

Reach the top of the firefighter career

Marry a service sim (firefighters, police officers, military or medical professionals)

Be best friends with all of your kids

Congratulations! You finished the legacy challenge!

This is the Moonrise Kingdom lighting mod. My first and favorite mod. It has subdued daytime tones with intense golden sunrises and sunsets, and is blended between Awesim’s Pounawea and Monte Vista with stunning auroras.

To Install: You simply put the package file in your mods folder with the rest of your package files.
