As a daughter, wife, mother, and friend, I wear many hats, as most women do. Often society tries to put us into appropriate boxes, safe in the knowledge that we are properly labeled. But some of us won't go quietly. We challenge the stereotypes and push the boundaries just by being who we are. My father told me as a young girl that I could do anything I put my mind to... I believed him. So instead of accepting someone else's version of happily-ever-after, I'm creating my own. And in my dreams I do get to have my cake & eat it too!
