dude devsis just like put that man in any situation and thats 1 billy dollar coming from MY pants. just put him in a situation and it's like i'm locking in beyond everything

and honestly they really should've done more to show how fire spirit and pitaya are like now. because i see pitaya as fire spirit's mom. they raised him like a good parent would and he's still fucked up. born that way

and his situation with his two loving boyfriends probably isn't doing a lot to help him but hey. he has two hands that cannot be held for an extended period of time because of the blessing he himself wanted and is suffering the consequences of because i HATE IT I HATE FIRE SPIRIT COOKIE I HATE HIM

fire spirit is such a genuinely interesting and complex character in my heart and i know a majority of it comes from headcanons

to me, it's like he doesn't know what he wants. some people would argue that he's cursed by the flame or that he was neglected by the others, but in my own personal opinion, i think he did that all to himself

in the hanja comic, it wasn't the group he was with that told him to leave, it was he who chose to go on his own volition

and even in the existing dialog(s) for the game, he is capable of being nice when he wants to (for example, his interactions with habanero cookie), but the issue is simply that he doesn't want to be nice to people.

but he also couldn't be a villain. he's actually pretty bad at fully being a villain. i like to headcanon that he finds the actions of the beasts and dark enchantress to be pretty fucking terrible, that is if he ever gave them any thought

so this is all to say: bpdspirit. even if he were treated well by the others around him, he could never change his mould or the way he grew up, possibly before he was "fire spirit" as we know it
