#op I'm giving you a top3 if that's alright lmao I can't pick 1 between these 3 I think #maki from jjk is genuinely such a well written character from the start. it's kinda crazy gege actually made her even stronger later #which honestly baffles me but it really is like her thing since the very beginning. she's one of those characters with personalities #you fall for instantly and it's genuinely so refreshing for a shounen to have one of those being the female character.#everything abt power/relationship with her family is never seen as a real problem bc she's just that good to overcome it its just. love her.#and then there's fran from ffxii who I'm overthinking here but she might be my fave ff woman and I love all of them #but fran is just so unapologetic about things while still caring about like a handful of stuff and being willingly to die for it #man maybe I have a type but its just about how she leaves her family and doesn't regret any of it because #she found freedom. and it's about how those closer to her are always talking abt her when she herself is just like. quiet lowkey abt it #she's quiet and fiercy at the same time and i just looooove that character archetype so much.#she does things for herself her entire life up until the point she's convinced that these new ppl she met should be helped #LOVE ME the quiet warrior type so much. and speaking of which riza hawkeye from fmab might be my top1 #she does feel a lot like fran in that personality type with like so much backstory and reasoning build behind it #i don't think i have enough english language knowledge to go on the rant she deserved but idk. i love her.#i love how she strives for good having endured the opposite of this. and then bad shit happens when she finally decides #to make a difference again and again and it never really stops her or changes her. there's something so crazy abt riza and just #trust in general. in other ppl and in herself and in her ideals. and how those are broken over and over again #and it still never changes her and she still sacrifices everything to fulfill her hopes and dreams WITHOUT BEING THE MC.#every single one of fma woman and insanely well written but idk. its how riza is a workaholic and afraid and hopeful and realistic and #tragic and none of those are seen as bad thing. this war criminal sees a little girl with long hair ans decides to grown her own her.#she's in the military she's badass shot and clever but she hates killing but she would kill herself if her purpose died #she's loyal to the teeth and independent on her own way. just. idk everything abt her is my favorite trope in one person and never made #together in one person like ever in any other media I saw so yeah. riza hawkeye if I had to choose one. but have the other two too bc #I'll take any opportunity to talk about my faves.#kelly says #txt #rb

15 things about Ishval that Brotherhood cut out

After rewatching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood recently, I was once again extremely disappointed at the amount of content the anime cut out when it covered the Ishval war in episode 30. Volume 15 of the manga (which was entirely dedicated to showing the war in detail across four chapters) still remains my favourite volume of the whole series, so I wanted to talk about 15 things that Brotherhood cut out. Some of them are minor scenes and some are more major plot points.

The images I’ve included in this post have been taken directly from the Viz Media manga, as I really dislike the poor quality scanlations of FMA that are out there. I would highly recommend buying Volume 15 for yourself, even if it’s the only volume of FMA you ever own.
