A flyer printed on purple paper from a point in Nirvana’s career where they did not have even a single out. They had a newly-drafted drummer named Chad Channing (who would play on most of the band’s debut album, Bleach) and were a few months away from releasing their first single, a cover of Shocking Blue’s “Love Buzz,” on Sup Pop Records. Skin Yard’s guitarist Jack Endino had recorded the band one afternoon and was so knocked out by their material that he gave a tape copy to one of the founders of Sub Pop.
