Moments that will last forever
- Watching the sunrise on your roof
- Late night singing to the radio
- Candlelit bubble baths with Cigarettes After Sex playing from your phone
- Realizing that you love someone
- Showing someone your favorite song and them liking it (almost) as much as you do
- Clique School Gymnasium Dances
- Walking in flower valleys with friends at sunset
- Earbuds in, listening to TV girl, at 12:00 am in a big city
- Slow dancing with your best friends
- Falling over from laughter
- Dancing (not necessarily with skill) during a storm when the streets are empty
- Writing poetry without any intention of publishing it

Creating Subplots
A subplot should distract the hero, build a realistic world, and offer an opportunity for plot twists.
- Good or Morally Gray characters may not like the hero
- Holidays
- Real-life work/school issues
- Multiple POV (if you know how to use it, it can be effective)
- Slightly clique but you can add in a romantic interest
- Friends from their past
- Death of a relative
Without subplots, stories can be weak and loose meaning. Always add subplots.
Hope this helps!

Just because your a fan of a tv show doesn’t mean that you are entitled to know the actors sexuality. How can you watch a tv show about sexuality and loving all people no matter their identity, and then come up with conspiracy theories about people’s sexualities based purely on stereotypes. Then you peer pressure and force them to come out! You’ve never even met him and you’re intruding on his personal life!

When @taylorswift re-records Speak Now, she should make Better Than Revenge (Taylor’s Version) about Scooter Braun.
Not only would it be that perfect punch in the face she always delivers, it would also fit SO WELL.
“He underestimated just who he was stealing from.”

How to write a good Villian
- Make sure that there are reasons that explain they’re actions
- Make sure they have reasons why others would side with them
- Don’t make them all bad, give them reasons for sympathy
- Make them just as skilled (or more) as the protagonist
- Have them be unjust towards the main character
- Some of their plans have to work out
- Leave them with a grip on the hero at all times even if they are dead

My friend: *reading The Song of Achilles*
Classmate: So that book is like if Achilles was gay?
My Friend: If? He was always attracted to men. The Ancient Greeks didn’t care

Story writing tip!
Gonna repeat what I said on twitter and say this: THE ENDING IS JUST AS IMPORTANT IF NOT MORE SO THAN THE BEGINNING OF YOUR STORY! People don't remember your beginning, they remember your ending. So, put more effort into making an ending because that will have a much larger impact than any first arc hook. Stories always seem to emphasize a good beginning but it's not worth it without a good end.
Been seeing a lot of great shows start off strong with unique and fun concepts and then bomb because their ending is shit or doesn't make sense and it's always disappointing when you see a story with so much potential and then it crashes cause the creator didn't see the story problems.
You should put just as much thought into how your story meets its conclusion, otherwise what is the point of putting your characters through everything?
Also as a side: stories that throw in randomly time travel, or aliens usually are scraping the bottom of the barrel and a lot of that stuff just ruins character development unless it's a major story beat or was always intended to happen. It's better to avoid time travel anyway... it's hard to do it right.

How to move a story along when stuck:
- Look at protagonist’s motivations
- Have MC go through a sub-plot you relate to, it’ll be easier to write if you’ve been through it
- Backstory
- Add another conflict
- If holidays exist in your writing, don’t forget them. They can be a great way to move the plot along.
- If you wrote an outline, go back to it
- Think about the antagonist
- If there are multiple POVs, choose another character to narrate
- Skip that scene (unless it is extremely vital) and come back to it later
- Go back and look at the beginning
- Introduce a new character
Take a break, remember why you want to write this story, come back with a new motivation
Feel free to add more

if eleven was a boy, everyone would’ve said that mike kissing “him” in the first season is inappropriate, rushed, forced and weird because eleven just got out of a lab and knows nothing about romance. they also don’t share any similiar interests and they can’t even be themselves around each other so people wouldn’t be okay with it and they would just say it’s forced
if will was a girl, everyone would be shipping “her” with mike because childhood best friends falling in love is the most popular romance trope in fiction and everyone always ends up rooting for the best friend to end up with the main person in the love triangle especially when it’s slowburn and takes a long time for them to realise their feelings. they would also like this ship even more because they can actually be themselves with each other and they understand each other better than anyone else
but because mike and eleven are a boy and girl, people are okay with it even though their relationship was rushed and isn’t exactly healthy, but then they say mike and will would be “forced” or “coming out of nowhere” even though they’ve known each other for more than 10 years and can actually be themselves with each other… the double standards and hypocrisy is insane 😭

Why do people still deny Achilles’ queerness. It shouldn’t even be an argument anymore. They just sound dumb.
