When I was ten my estranged father and I took an outing to Universal
Studios. This was in 1977. Back when the studio was taking tourists
around the studio showing how everything was made in films. Today
it is more of a theme park. After the tour, my father and I went to
eat dinner at the hotel restaurant and I met Evil Knievel. It was
a absolute thrill.

I grew up watching Lucy making chocolate with the spirit of a child.
I remember watching with great fascination Carol Burnett singing
That’s Why the Lady is a Tramp in a fright wig. These two red-heads
have withstood the test of time. I still watch with a smile.
Two redheads: Carol Burnett and Lucille Ball

Creature Of Rooms
The windows are open
The sun is out
Warm breeze drifts through
the house
but it grows dark too soon
for my comfort
I go to sleep in one room
and awake in another
I dream of holy places
where there are no rooms
I go to the window often
night and summer cry out for me
It’s voice is water open beneath stars.
