I actually first met Nami when she was dressed as Jasmine many years ago. I knew she’s been wanting to make a version of the character inspired by traditional Indian fashion, so I reached out to her immediately to see if she’d like to be a part of this project. She designed her costume herself, and she was an amazing resource helping me design Aladdin to match, helping me find resources to create something was true to traditional Indian menswear while still felt like it fit with Aladdin. While I’m sure I could have done some things better, it was a huge learning experience for me, and I’m very grateful for it.

I did a little editing on two of the photos to change the background (probably easy to guess which!) The photographer was so good with lighting that it made it very easy to do.
