Welp…here I go!!!!
Here are a bunch of random headcanons and factoids I have about my third favorite ship!!!! (That’s right said it!!!!!)
(Also some of these might reference prompts or headcannons the great desmondkane already done)
Every time Skara gets a gift for Willow, who doesn’t want to be spoiled with over priced gifts, she usually makes something on her own like a song, a poem, and even using her bard magic in making arts and crafts like pots for Willow’s plants, or wooden statues. Sometimes this goes well, but whenever Skara goes to overboard without taking it slow, it doesn’t go quite as planned; like a certain… glass rose incident. But Willow still appreciates these gifts none the less, and is always touched by the gesture.
Willow does something slightly different but equally adorable, she goes over to Eda’s human realm shack and finds some human realm music she hopes that Skara will like, even working at the booth with Eda and Luz to get the gift. They usually range from cassettes full of 80’s music Star-Lord would approve, the YouTube indie variety, to even Musicals movies or TV shows; which is where Skara got her love of certain human realm musicals, Disney movies, and Steven Universe.
Skara’s always trying to make Willow laugh with her jokes and comedic references. And while some may find these jokes corny, or never understands these references, Willow honestly and unironically finds them hilarious, always bursting out with a laugh that remind Skara of a child’s first laugh; pure and genuine.
Whenever Skara or Willow want some tips about relationships or date ideas, they go to their friends for advice. Their usual go two is Luz and/or Amity since you…LUMITY. But if they’re not available Willow asks Gus or Hunter for sibling like advice, and Skara asks Viney and Bo for ideas during some gal pal talk.
After hearing about the human realm from Willow and Luz and the others, Skara likes to fantasize about romantic trips she and Willow could take in the human realm like Hawaii or Paris. But since both their human realm experiences are limited, their little milkshake dates in Gravesfield, Connecticut are enough…for now at least. (Willow is secretly determined to take Skara on a trip to broadway.)
Whenever Boscha messes with these two. There four possible outcomes:
They just ignore Boscha until she has her fill or gets bored.
Willow or Skara makes a romantic speech or gesture that makes everyone go “awwww” and makes Boscha leaves out of cringe.
Skara tries to confront Boscha which either makes things better or worse.
or, the rarest outcome when Boscha goes too far, Willow yeets her out a window in unfiltered rage. Is she proud of it? no Willow usual tries to be the voice of reason. Does she regret it? to a point. would she do it again? most likely, nobody messes with her melody like that and gets away with it.
These two come up with so many nicknames for each other. So. Many. Nicknames. It’s not like they do it every day, but once the flood gate are open they ain’t closing. Coming up with stuff like: Melody, petals, rockstar, willow the wisps, maestro of her heart, cherry blossom, their other half, the best flyer derby champ they’ve ever known! It gets to the point that people think their intentionally doing this to out do Lumity.
Willow’s love for photography and scrap booking followed her back to the demon realm, using that polaroid Camila gave her to capture every magical moment with Skara and save it all in her special scrapbook dedicated to their relationship. And when Skara say this, she was touched but also asked why she didn’t use memory tweezers, since it was supposedly easier. When Willow explained her experience with memory tweezers… let’s just say Skara broke a record to how many times you can say sorry in an hour.
Skara came up with this intro routine for the emerald entrails before every match, something similar to Remember the Titans. The rest of the team were iffy about it but Willow wanted to give it a try, and now it’s sort of a good luck ritual/tradition they do before every match; because it actually helps.
These two have there ups and downs, some bumps and challenges like any good relationship. They mostly centered around Skara’s past as a bully haunting her or Willow still struggling to let the walls down and be vulnerable, but they love each other and always find a way to work through these challenges…together.
Well that was fun, maybe I might do more. I may not be as vocal as Desmondkane, but if I have other ideas I’ll probably share them.
So I know I’m supposed to be the guy with all the Skarlow headcannons but can anyone send me some cute headcannons with our favorite Plant and Bard Witches? Not doing so hot and I need a pick-me-up…
