Sometimes I place my head down to think about why in a world so beautiful are people so full of negativity and hate? I think about why I have to raise my daughter in a world where manors are forgotten and equality has vanished. This morning walking through the doors of the gym my four­year­old daughter held the door open for a man. After the man stepped through the door my daughter asked me why he didn’t say thank you. I was lost at words for a moment as I asked myself the same question. I responded “maybe he just forgot or he maybe he didn’t learn manors.” Although I know this is not a proper accuse I could not gather the words to tell my daughter that some people don’t care. Why should my daughter have to hear that? My daughter will not participate in the vanishing of manors.
