Lol, my current maximum in mountains (1.6 -2.1 km above sea level) is 5 miles (around 8-9 km), with height difference like 300-400 meters.
I am talking about this type of mountains (Aibga Ridge):
In my country it is considered black difficulty trail, which means "don't go without trekking boots and poles, and probably hire a guide, if you are unsure in your own abilities". Ordinary people (who wear sandals in mountains, lol), especially with kids, don't go on these trails, if they are sane.
PS Seen a guy with a 6-7 y.o. son there, poor kid cried how he was scared to fall from a steep descent. He wore sneakers, for fuck's sake!
And: equipment matters! If you want to climb some rocky paths, especially with bad weather conditions, especially high above sea level, trekking boots and poles are MUST HAVE. Sneakers are only suitable for the city and flat, dry forest paths!!
when i say i like hiking, i don’t mean “eight mile backpacking trip with special gear and an emergency beacon” sort of hiking, i mean a three mile loop to go look at pretty things and then a huge brunch after.

I've struggled with perfectionism today. It was a lot and I got very frustrated, so I drew my rage. Rage on people who failed me, rage on the conditional love I was always given, rage on people who stressed me the fuck out today, rage on myself because why I keep repeating falling in this trap!
So. Rage.

I've tested watercolor on the new Baohong paper and decided, that the list should not go to waste 😄 so I drew some weird things with ink on it.

He is brilliant and I like his online lessons a lot. He is a great teacher!

Sketches from last week!
We went to my husband's parents' place for a family dinner 😃 And I drew small orange tomatoes (they were cute!). And then some abstract things. And then the bridge from random reference, that someone posted in the art chat.

I am training new pen & ink artstyle, that is built on the idea "huge dot - light stroke". Light stroke is the hard part, because to make it you should relax your hand and not press on a paper.
This is my first try on these types of strokes:
This is the fourth A4 list with my strokes:
As you see, my strokes actually became lighter! This is important, because later it will help me with expressiveness and dynamics.

I have practiced drawing basic forms today! I will keep some of the exiercises, that I have learnt today, for warming up sessions! And I definetely need to practice more in deconstructing objects to basic shapes and in manipulating shapes.
PS On the kitchen I've found perfect cylinder for practicing 😄 It is a strainer from a teapot, lol
PPS I also like this combination of Pigma Micron 02 and Duke 209 fountain pen with fude nib! Do you like it too?..
