Okay. Maybe I'm just dumb, but, like. Can someone explain to me as if I'm five years old. Is it just me, or is Mage!Viktor—in and of himself—a paradox? Because here: if Jayce had never gone on with his Hextech research, then Viktor would've never had a good cause to work with him; but we know that it was Viktor who saved Baby!Jayce, so as to complete a timeline where the world doesn't end.

The question is: where in the giggling goddamn fuck did Mage!Viktor actually come from? Is he from a timeline where Piltover and Zaun (or Runeterra as a whole, since Jayce did say that Viktor could threaten the entire world) was destroyed? But that would again beg the question: where did the mage that saves Jayce come from, if so?
