Funnily enough, as much as S bears a lot of resentment and pain for the prominent men in his life, Sve does end up transitioning, going by a different name, and living primarily as a "Herald"/man endgame. That resentment does fuel a heinous god complex pertaining to his manhood/herald status "I'm better than you because I made myself this way." "Dude what the fuck happened to you.")

This scene below actually isn't that far ahead posting wise!! These frames are from the epilogue. There's one scene that serves as a check-in between what we're seeing building up currently in the background of Svetla and the Duumvirate's B-story, and what is set to come)

Good!S, despite having a very different upbringing (having safe, secure connections with the men in their life), ends up making the same exact choice out of his own volition!

Their endgame dynamic is meant to swipe at the notion that trans men (specifically DV survivors and survivors of violence perpetuated by Cis Men) transition as a trauma response to the violence they experience. For now, we know them as Good/Doomed Svetla, and they both really only understand themselves enough to agree with she/her. :D

Life Update/SOFT SOFT Hiatus Announcement

First off, ahhhh, thank you so so much for your patience regarding the next chapter update, teasers, and replies!! :D Chapter 17 is still in the works. For now, due to general life and mental health reasons I’m soft pausing an official release date for the next chapter! (the fucking Ao3 curse is so real LMAOOO)

In general, I’m aiming to have JS completed prior to the end of fall! As soon as I have a teaser cleaned up in the next week here, I'll have it posted! :D in the meantime, take proof below that our barbies will be alive and well by the end of this!

"There were things I wished for more than anything back then, and now. Haha, when I finally left, everyone would wonder where their bottles went."

Another moment of silence, Svetla just looking down at her bottle like "I shouldn't be here" "I should've done this hours ago". Hating the small talk and for a minute just favoring staying silent.

"After a while, and enough bottles. These were less about wishing and more just.. talking. Hoping, *somehow* Janna would guide them, lead them to the people meant to read them. I'd hope that they would be able to read them, and listen"

It's that sudden confession that gets a brief, surprised look from Fortune. He doesn't say anything, doesn't want to push anything or ruin the moment. But for like the most brief second he's almost tempted to say "I wish I could have found them, and read them. I wish Jayce could have found them and read them too"

"But.. Obviously, that did not work out."

"I know they say that it's bad luck to discuss wishes, however.."

"Hm?"

"You always did have a difficult time thinking of wishes."

And Svetla looks up from her bottle, just for a minute to think of what to say next

"I.. I caught a fish, one day. It was so small, barely a snack. Really it wasnt any big accomplishment, but.. I was so excited, because I had not been able to do that prior. I don't know why, but afterwards I had written down a wish"

He wouldn't push, he wouldn't poke and prod for answers. He'd just stay, and wait

"And I wished you were there. I wondered if you would have been proud of me, for being able to catch a fish."

her version of fishing involving: - "fish fights" (blindly diving into the water and coming back with exceptionally large fish) - has been found grabbing smaller fish out of the water with bare hands - witnesses have also confirmed seeing subject 41-A punching the fish

"showing dominance" by chasing geese

They do not repeat the same mistake after encountering subject 41-A

"remember, it's eat or be eaten. So eat their friends in front of them to send a message"

The message was well received by the local population of geese

This all started because I wanted to draw Svetla punching/fighting a fish And chasing geese Then I started thinking of the different ways she can show how to be feral because of how she's had to grow up

The people are very concerned for her mental state when they see her squaring up to a deer outside or come around riding a bear claiming its her "unlikely ally"

@threeoffucks she could be a giant ass bird doing this and it'd look more natural then sometimes I can just see her being this 5'3 maniac running around dressed nice and acting feral And I love her dearly for that

It also is a gut wrenching thought that she hasn't seen a proper meal in thousands of years so if she's offered a plate of food she's staring at it like "wtf is this???" and everyone's like "girl that's food you eat it" "Wtf I didn't kill this I didn't prep any of this- what the hell am I staring at right now get it away" And she takes a singular bite and she's sobbing over how good it is because "food isn't meant to be enjoyable it's to make sure you don't pass out while moving"

my thoughts on Svetla's actor go as follows

she's too silly for her own good

seriously if someone's making a dumb face she's folding instantly

she loves playing the villain even if it means she has a hard time sometimes locking into serious scenes where she has to crash out

always goes up to whoever she yelled at afterwards like "I'M SORRY YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT"

it takes her a good minute to get into character (people are always shocked to see side by sides between Svetla and Anya if they show clips)

"so what are your thoughts on what your character is doing right now??" "Personally?? Oh I fully understand it like- I'd crash out like that too" "Aaaaand her relationship with Fortune?" "Stop I'll cry hang on- wait hang on- WAIT HANG ON I WILL CRY- I'M CRYING"

If she thinks about it for too long she will be crying over it

She's got her own Playlist to try and get into the mindset and a Playlist for when she's done to chill (sometimes it gets a Lil too deep and needs to cool down afterwards)

When she locks in for a good scene she is locking IN and then when it's done she's all smiles like "that was amazing! Oh my God you guys were so good-" and everyone's just looking at the switch up like "how tf did that just happen"

"Yall what if we just like let them hug" "Anya they're supposed to be fighting" "A HUG COULD FIX IT I THINK"

She didn't audition for the role, she showed up as support and was asked to run lines

She was not expecting the call back

Definitely gives off night owl vibes and always having a redbull nearby during morning takes

Svetla would fly them up to the top of a sky scrapper and snipe unsuspecting Heralds and Defenders along the streets. The Heralds hate them. The Defenders think it’s endearing, harmless fun. They’re just hexkids. Ultimately, they’d end up stopping because Chaos told them the other kids in the Duumvirate would start imitating them.

This is where I softly spoil that there was a time where this scene would be possible. If I can find a way to worm that in, I’ll tag you and credit you in it!! Side note; i really love the idea of them bonding over snow—finding freedom in something Jayce would fucking despise (snow, it’s cold, he’s eating chicken noodle soup and stress pacing somewhere)

and they proceed to absolutely DESTROY their enemies with snowballs @threeoffucks okay these two are giving me more twin vibes than anything Look at them Evil Up to no good and well hated by the Duumvirate If Svetla gets no friends or siblings they will get them from me in the form of very chaotic angsty teens (2 of them are in adult bodies only one of them is a teen and she's a pyromaniac) I love these assholes dearly

Also TEEHEE OOOO YESSS—I will say his position on the team is Heavy Duty/Tank! I’m very excited to explain how that shows up in-story—because Rango almost never physically fights his enemies.
