None of yall are the fic police. I DESPISE genai. I think its an insult to art, humanity, and the planet itself. But aint not a single fucking person here qualified to pick apart a strangers fic looking for a gotcha moment to make yourselves feel superior. If you think something is ai you can ask the author (most are proud of the ai use and will just tell you straight up) if they say yes you have your answer and can warn people. If they say no and you dont believe them you block and quietly keep it between you and maybe a close group of friends. Spreading misinformation is DANGEROUS. And NONE of you doing this shit are anywhere near qualified to do it.

I uh. Made a thing
Idk. I just kinda felt like making the music, I guess.
Pretty sure it counts as electronic music, but idk if it would count as any other types on top of that. I don't feel like I know enough about how music is categorized to properly say it's any type of music beyond 'electronic', so idk. Was mildly inspired by Whitty(the FNF one) when I made it, but that mostly just effected my instrument choice. Not really super related to him in the end, but I think it turned out good.
If anyone knows what TYPE of music it'd be besides just electronic, that would be very helpful, because I genuinely don't know. Is it lo-fi enough to count as lo-fi? Is it vibe-y enough to count as EDM? I genuinely do not know, because I don't understand how music is categorized into stuff like that
Help in figuring that bit out would be appreciated, even if it's just in figuring out how tf music categorization in general work

#I named it High Gear bc I kinda sorta came up with lyrics to inspire how the song itself would go#Didn't actually use the lyrics but-#I think having that to base the song around once I had a basic beginning ended up working out#At the very least I like the end result#I am very glad I can use my own voice as an example for myself#Because that's what I took advantage of in order to figure out how tf to make this sound#Without that#I genuinely don't think I could have figured out the beat and the way the instruments harmonized#Like at all#I've tried making music other ways before and it never really uh... turned out as well?#The more layers of instruments I tried to add in other stuff#the less connected it all sounded#Using my voice as an example instead of immediately going for instruments helped I think#Especially because the WAY I used my voice could help set the vibe yk?#Like#I wanted the second addition to be kinda buzzy and I was able to make my voice 'buzzier' so I could see how that would work if I did that#Instead of fumbling around with the note options trying to figure out where tf the note I want is#I play by ear most of the time(though usually that only applies to my voice since I can't play any instruments irl)#So figuring out the notes by recording my own voice DOING the notes ended up being more helpful than I realized it could be#10/10: would use that strategy again if I decided to try making more music#Anyway#Onto actual 'taggy' tags now#Music#My music#Speaker's music#Also:#My art#Speaker's art#My first actual song thing#Electronic music
