Neurotypical people don't know how lucky they are. Like, they can just function every day without getting overstimulated, having major sensory discomfort, and having a panic attack all at the same time.
Like seriously? Y'all have this shit on easy mode. No I'm not jealous, what made you think that?

Anyone else love collecting things like cute stationary and stickers and keyrings but you don't have enough space in your room to store them all because all your cupboards are chock full of old stuff you don't know how to recycle/feel bad for throwing away so now you just hoard it in your tiny room and feel bad every time you buy new things because there's nowhere to put them but you have extra money to spend and no self control when it comes to that new sparkly pen you absolutely don't need but desperately want because new shiny?
Yeah, me neither.

Water is not wet.
Yes, this is the hill I'm going to die on. Water is a liquid. The definition of the word wet is an adjective that describes an object that is covered or saturated in water or another liquid. For example, a towel gets wet when you use it to dry your hands. If you cover water with water, THAT'S JUST MORE WATER! I am sick and tired of people insisting that water is indeed wet, or using the phrase as a way to point out that something is obvious, BECAUSE IT'S NOT TRUE! WATER IS NOT WET DAMNIT!!!
#i will fight you on this#dont f*'king test me#pea brained imbeciles all of you#if you disagree then you can eat my shorts

Why does there always have to be drama in romantic relationships in films, TV shows, etc? Like seriously, the couple is always fighting, breaking up, cheating, doing literally anything but enjoy eachothers company and trying to have a normal, healthy relationship. At that point, why did you even get together in the first place? Personally, I would rather watch an onscreen couple who actually love eachother.

Mindless Scrolling
I think we've all succumbed to the plague that is social media algorithms at least once in our lives. Those nights where you open an app, whether it's twitter, tiktok, or even Youtube shorts, and just start scrolling for hours? Yeah, they're the worst. Most of the time, we don't even enjoy or pay much attention to what content we're actually consuming, but we keep doing it because we've trained our minds to crave the moving images, written text and sounds that a phone or laptop can produce.
I'm not going to pretend I have a failsafe solution for this problem. What works for me might not work for you and vice versa. Some things to at least try include sitting in silence for a few minutes and take in the room or environment you are in, or get up and walk around, possibly outside if the weather is decent. Whatever works to drag your focus away from the screen, just for a little while.

Her sister: Y/n, our parents aren't dead
Y/n, slowly sharpening a knife: Not yet...
