Life update:

Hey remember how in my introduction I mentioned I played Babette/Plumette in my school’s rendition of BATB? Yeah I’m dating our Lumiere now. This is so magical and yet so comical for me. Anyway that’s where I’ve been, being in love as someone who rarely gets that funny feeling. If me from December 2023 heard about this she’d be bouncing off the walls crazy rn.

it makes me so happy that the fandom and by extension disney itself acknowledges that lumiere ADORES babette. the era of him being a cheating two-timer who barely knows her name is OVER

I was thinking, and I have a possible solution to the Plumette name debate: Fifi "Plumette" Babette.

Fifi being her first name, and Babette her last. Plumette is a nickname based off her last name + because she, and other maids, sometimes end up with fallen feathers from their dusters stuck on them. Or maybe it started during the curse, as some sort of weird nickname.

BATB Week - Day 3 "Lavender" @beauty-beast-week

(Didnt do the first 2 prompts bc lack of ideas lol so i am starting the week off today! Happy BATB week lets GOO!!!)

For today's prompt "Lavender", I was thinking about Belle's first few nights in the castle. She must've had many sleepless nights, with racing thoughts of nerves and excitement bundled together. Luckily she's roomies with Garderobe who loves a good chat. I like to see the two having occasional late night talks, where Garderobe helps put her mind at ease with spirited words, while sharing her reminiscences of being a singer and a woman again. It is nice for Belle to have some female company in her life for once and I think it's a part of the movie that should be explored a bit.

Castle dads trying to contain their giant dog son's bathtime zoomies because when you've got a ton of heavy wet fur it's gonna be UNCOMFYYY as hell!!! good thing the castle has endless space to run. bad thing for the gaggle of tiny objects trying to chase him LMAO

Maybe get Chapeau to handle bathtimes from now on?

Beauty and the Beast Week 2024, Day 2: Venus Fly Trap Master List

It was almost as though she were an innocent little fly in search of sweet nectar, lured by a hungry Venus flytrap lying in wait. Gaston’s words were the tantalizing scent that promised safety and protection, but in reality, they were the deceptive sweetness that would lead to her downfall.

A vignette focusing on the Beast’s perspective as he lays dying after the battle with Gaston. While I used bits of dialogue from both the ’91 movie screenplay and the Broadway libretto, I definitely structured the scene more closely to how it plays out in the Broadway version.

Venus Flytrap - Angst/Hunger

Finished this late oops my photoshop crashed and my custom brushes got deleted so had a little cry

One of my favourite deleted scenes from the 1991 film is the one of Adam was going to kill and eat a deer during the prologue but was cut for being too scary and making him too similar to Gaston, but then you can see deer bones during the west wing scene :3 so this is based on that wahoo!
