i’m gonna be so for real i think ford would be enthusiastic about the idea of killing god. especially in the pre-betrayal era: he’s brilliant and egotistical and idealistic and that’s like. a big part of what bill sees in him in the first place. the difference is that ford’s moral code divides his ideals from his practices & bill’s doesn’t. ford would say we should lob a nuke at god but bill would actually do it.

the mindscape conversations were NOT all intellectual btw. bill is insane and ford is a spiteful bitch down with murder i guarantee half of what they talked about sounded like a s1 billy butcher tirade with effusive agreements peppered in.

i know the compromising pages from ford’s journals had been cut by the time dipper found them, but it does make the scene where ford meets dipper so, so funny. like imagine you’re fresh out of the torture nexus and this random twelve year old is immediately like OMG HI i’m just SUCH a big fan of the journals you wrote while going through the most traumatic gay situationships in the world!!!!! ford is a better man than me because i would have turned around and walked right back into the portal
