WARM EYE WITH A POP OF COLOR <3
Tumblr media
I originally planned to do a natural makeup but since my night out with a friend got cancelled, I thought why not do a full face instead? where to? INSTAGRAM! so voila! Lol
I’ve also been dying to try my recent mini makeup hauls the past months. I’ve been such a busy bee and got slammed with loads of work lately, I could barely even open some of them. >.<
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I bought the package from a local reseller because all of the items cannot be purchased from any physical store in KSA.
I got the Milani in Luminoso (which is a cult favorite), Morphe palette in 35o2: it consists of warm tones and beautiful shimmers (they aint playin games with the pigments!)  I also purchased the The Ordinary Rosehip seed oil which I only use at night to help my pores and textures look smoother. The reseller also gave me a free bronzer brush! Sweeeet!
Now, let’s go back to the look shall we?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m not a MUA and am not trained to do makeup. I just discovered my love for it when I was in college and it was my mom who first encouraged me to put some color on my face (I think i looked so horrible then, considering she’s the one who told me to doll up! xD )
Here are the details:
(FACE)
TONER: Clinique Clarifying in Number 3 and Skinceuticals Pore minimizing (I think I need to include this because toners keep my oils at bay and it helps to keep my pores less visible. Smaller pores = good makeup base.)
PRIMER: Nyx Angel Veil
FOUNDATION: Loreal Infallible 24 hr matte in Golden Beige
POWDER: Coty Airspun and Maybelline Fit Me in Buff Beige
BRONZER: Makeup Revolution Ultra bronzer
NOSE CONTOUR: Hoola Bronzer and highlight: Sleek makeup Solstice palette in Equinox
BLUSH: Milani in Luminoso
(EYES AND BROWS)
BROWS: Inglot brow gel in #4 and The Face Shop brow mascara in brown, highlight Sleek paletter in Subsolar
UNDER EYE CONCEALER: Makeup revolution Define and Conceal in c5
LID BASE/PRIMER: Nyx Eyelid primer
TRANSITION: Makeup Revolution Ultra bronzer + Morphe 35o2 in UNIVERSAL
SHADOWS: MORPHE 35o2 in HEAT, FIRE, blended with ABLAZE. OUTER V in TERRA COTTA + STONE. LOWER LID has ABLAZE and FIRE.
CUT CREASE: using Urban decay concealer, Nyx glitter primer, Inglot BODY SPARKLE in #50
EYELINER: Nyx Vivid Brights in VIVID SAPPHIRE, waterline in Maybelline Kohl in Brown
MASCARA: Maybelline in Falsies
LASHES: Nyx in Drama queen/DIVA (In previous post)
INNER CORNER HIGHLIGHT: Sleek makeup in Hemisphere
(LIPS)
MAC cosmetics in Velvet Teddy (in previous post)
***ALL TOPPED WITH LOREAL INFALLIBLE MATTE SETTING SPRAY***

(DISCLAMER:  I’M NOT A GOOD FOOD REVIEWER, THEY’RE ALL DELICIOUS TO ME!)
It was my friend’s last night as a single lady! *cue the wedding bells* and I know that it wasn’t a proper bridal shower but at least we got to eat again at my favorite Thai food place!!  —— The Kruathai Seafoods Restaurant.
Since I’ve been here way too many times, I think I can tell you with all honesty why I’m such a big fan of their resto besides Thai food being my top most favorite asian cuisine. If you’re into a good, yummy asian food within a decent budget in Riyadh, then this one’s is right up your alley.

Now, if you’re also located in the capital city like me, specifically in ArRawda district, and you’ve never seen nor heard about this place, well, I don’t blame you. The place is actually a bit discreet and its existence only came to my knowledge through a word-of-mouth 3 yrs ago.
They have 2 existing branches: one in Sulaimania area and the other one is situated at Imam Al Shafie Street, Near Al Yamamah Hospital, Ar Rayyan. Nearly a walking distance from my house. I can’t tell you much about their history because I was too shy to ask their staffs lol, but I’m pretty sure that they’ve been around for years, guessing from some few peeled off paint from the walls and old furnitures.

(The next paragraph is just an unrelated segue lol)
I love old stuffs. I’m a big fan of museums and one of my goals is to scour the entire earth and just visit all the museums that are currently existing. I don’t love them not just because they’re old and that it carries a certain “vintage aesthetic”, but also because there’s always a history behind old places and things which make them very interesting to me.
The restaurant’s ambiance carries a somewhat vintage/90′s vibe, dimly-lit, so it isn’t most people’s cup-of-tea but to me, it certainly has a “je né sais quoi” appeal. <3 It doesn’t bother me at all. It felt so homey with the vinyl floor and the floral curtains plus the dull sound of the chefs tossing woks and skillets in the background, it sorta felt like I was eating at my grandma’s kitchen again. (may she rest in peace)
S T A F F S
It took my friends a few long minutes to choose their dishes and the Indian staff was patient and cool enough to wait on them. He even went back twice because I came in a few minutes behind my friends who had already placed their orders in (sorry!). I didn’t have to tell the guy twice about my order, and he always had that super warm smile on his face too. (I’m pretty sure that he thought I was weird holding my camera and taking photos of their food and restaurant. Lol.) #millenial
So, that’s an A+ for me! They’re friendly, sharp, patient, and accommodating.

I highly recommend this restaurant for a small group because most of the food servings are good for sharing with a price range of as low as 20 to 50sr.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They offer Filipino, Chinese, and from the name itself, Thai cuisine. I’d scan and show the whole menu book to y’all if I could, but I only had a few seconds to take photos and choose my dish at the same time. Lol.
My TOP 3 favorite dishes are:
1. Fried Garlic Squid (30sr)
Or you can call it: Sweet and sour fried squid dish because that’s how it tastes like. Yum!
Tumblr media
2. Tom Yum (20-40sr)
Who doesn’t love a good Tom Yum Seafood soup!! I ordered the smallest size for only 20sr, but when you order the regular size (second photo below), it usually comes in a huge metal bowl with a blue fire under it to keep the soup warm. It contains squids, crabs, fish meat, and shrimps.
Trust me, they have the best Tom Yum in this country!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Fried Duck (forgot the price but my wild guess is it’s at 30-ish price range)
They always serve this crispy, I promise. It also comes with several dipping sauce too (mango, brine with chili, and sweet and sour sauce).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Those are just my personal preferences though. There are still a lot more that I have and haven’t tried. They have more than 30 dishes in their menu book that you can choose from! Can you believe that?!
When it comes to the price, I’ve never paid my share more than 50sr EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! And I also get to take some of the food home, that’s how big the servings are!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(The rice dried up because I took too long in taking photos. My bad lol)
As you can see, they also have yellow fried rice, fried garlic shrimps, chopsuey, beef stew, and a whole lot more! Gah, I just love me some comfort food right now, bruh.
**Adobong Kangkong (30sr)
Tumblr media
**A big bowl of White Rice *burp*
And of course, it’s not asian without rice, is it? They serve a big silver bowl of white rice which is good for 3-4 heads.
Tumblr media
I’m gonna do my best to get back here and try the other dishes for the rest of my remaining 2 months in Riyadh. *crossing my fingers* So lemme wrap this up by giving them a good 4/5 stars.
Let me know what you think and what else you’d like me to post next! Thanks for reading! (All photos taken by yours truly) xxx

WHAT I DO FOR LEISURE :)
Okay, so most of my friends know that I’m not really into writing stuffs (just wanna put it out there lol). Though, I like discovering cool things while having fun around the city and I’m a huge fan of photography too. I love taking photos of ANYTHING about urban lifestyle, food, makeup, you know, those “millenial” stuffs lol. But basically I’m just a yuppy with an SLR, so I thought why not just put up a blog.
Well, here goes nothing. Wish me luck! >.<
I’ve always had that feeling like I need to document all of the photos I take and share it to my friends, heck, to the world. Like, why not spread news about a new hang out spot, new ideas, new products, and the GOOD VIBES, right?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Excuse our faces, we just came from work. Lol)
Like most people, or at least most filipinos like me and my gals, we just go out during or after the salary day haha. Why? because first, we’re on a budget. We can’t just run around breaking the piggy bank *oink oink*. After all, we’re here to work, save moolah, so when we get home to The Philippines, we’re gonna have the time of our lives! YASSS #partyanimals
Secondly, we run a tight schedule. Working 12 hr shifts in a roughly 18-20+ days in a month isn’t really something fun. We’re physically, emotionally, and mentally stressed so most of us are extremely tired even on our rest days. Not to mention, doing house chores. So whenever I hit my friends up like “Hey! Mall today?” err guess what?..... a rain check. -_-
Lastly, an honest truth, there’s really not a lot of fun stuffs to do here unlike back in the Philippines where you can just get off work and go to a bar or a beach, get wasted, and go back to work the next day with a hangover. *ssshhhhh*. jk.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(The Pumpkin Spice is back y’all!)
So you might wonder, what do we do to chill over here. Well, for me at least, I try to stay fun and sane by going to the mall, have dinner with friends, and for the most part, SHOP. Nothing fancy. I’ve just always been a city girl anyway and most girls like me have the blue print of these places inside our heads, haha. It’s our comfort zone, we just know it from A to Z. Talk about special talent. <3
My favorite go-to place is Hayat or Danube Mall, the one next to Sahara Mall which is just 20 minutes away from my house. Grab an iced coffee, have a “chismis” with whoever is available on that day, take a stroll, window shop, and if you’re like me, buying make-up or anything for skin care. Lol.
Now, let’s talk about the latter. if you’re a big fan of MAC, (aside from we’ll be very good gal pals) do you know that they have a promo this month? They’re selling all their bestsellers in MINI VERSION which means you only get to pay LESS THAN half of the original prices. Cool, RIGHT?!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Name it! They’re Fix Plus, strobe light primer, mascaras, even their concealers I think. And of course, their highly pigmented and topnotch lipstick shades like RUBY WOO, WHIRL, MEHR, AND VELVET TEDDY!! Gah, I just couldn’t resist!
Love, my friend who’s wearing the blue scarf in the first pic, even told me that I totally change my personality whenever I step into a make up store. Lol. (Don’t worry, I don’t have a split personality disorder... NOT YET lol). Because I entered the mall with a totally calm me, and a minute after seeing the store, I went coo coo! >.<
So, can you IMAGINE how I reacted when I saw this?! haha. #crazy
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The small versions are being sold for only 49sr (around 680 pesos). The upsides are: it’s the best especially if you don’t wanna commit into buying a regular, bigger one which is around 110sr (1,500 pesos more or less), and it’s more travel friendly.
Compared to the original packages above, the mini version looks super cute next to them. I purchased the shade called “Velvet Teddy” which I’ve been planning to buy but never did. I wish I could swatch and show it to you, but I’d rather apply it with my full make up on instead of just wasting a sample on my hand or arm. It’s tiny that I can’t afford to waste a dang swipe! haha! sorry x
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To put a cherry on top, there are a couple of other makeup brands that are sitting right next to MAC. My friends went bonkers to the popular Korean Brand ETUDE HOUSE while I pranced my way to NYX with the following words that rang inside my head: “Dear gawd, please, stop me!!!!! This is soooooo not planned.” hahaha
Naturally, I got another product. T_T
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They’re not as expensive as the high-end brands out there, with a price tag of only 35sr and are re-usable too, I just couldn’t stop myself from grabbing these wispy lashes! They’re not mink, nope, but they look as gorgeous!
The next thing I know, the cashier was already handing out the change into my hand. Perhaps you’ve heard about  cliché: “it’s so bad but it feels sooo good”? Coz that’s exactly how I felt at that moment, I totally lost control of myself. AGAIN.
*Great job, kitty, giving in to temptation is exactly your forté.*
So, anywho, that’s it for now. Remember, the promo in Mac is only for the month of September according to the MAC sales rep (but they may extend it for the next months) and it’s okay to treat yo self from time to time kids! haha till the next! x - Kitty
