To start this on a different level, I would like to say that I am the type of person who always comes back and would always love to go back from the past. Yes, I consider this blogsite as a part of my past self. Whatever it is that is posted in here is a proof of who I was and how I think on the past.

Going through each blog post has reminded me so much about those times. This is probably the reason why I love checking out my old outputs. It always leads me to reflect on how much things have already changed and tbh, it all came out not exactly how I want things to happen but at least I’m confident to claim it as something that’s quite alright to me.

It’s been 3 years since I’ve started migrating my thought in my journals. I was more confident to enclose everything there especially that I’ll only be the one to read those things. Besides, it’s only just about me and I just thought before that maybe this platform wouldn’t be that effective for me if I enclose all my feelings and life updates here. However, there’s also a disadvantage from that part. Since I write mostly (like literally write them down on my journal) I tend to limit everything down to the vital details only because it takes so much time and I honestly cannot write really well using my normal penmanship.

I sometimes forget how to truly and deeply express my feeling towards it. And since I do journaling, I have focused more on my visual designs which I mostly incorporate photos to give me a better and quick flash of memories by the time I get to visit my spreads.

I’m not going to deny this part, but I do miss blogging. Writing freely and not caring about the space or the pages I’m going to consume. Not worrying about getting my hands all tired from too much writing. And easily get things transferred down into words.

I want to be back here asap, but I’ve got so much thing happening right now starting from my day job, freelance life and personal time off. I want to be here again but unfortunately, I can’t commit myself into it right at this moment. This might not be the time yet but I have plans in the future to reconcile with my first love and I hope I get to contribute something good to my readers again.

For the meantime, you can all still reach me at my Instagram account at Mary Chi Limon. That’s where I mostly post life updates and journal arts and announcements. I’ll see you all again in some other time.

Disney A5 notebook i got from National Bookstore for my reviewer (not in the photo) An overwhelming number of notebooks for 2019, but I have to be strict on not feeling too pressured filling them out every day. My notebooks are properly categorized and will be used according to its purpose. I did not obliged myself to write on each when it’s not necessary so I won’t feel too overwhelmed and as well as to prevent from having the same content on different notebooks. On the way to work

Nothing much is new. As usual, im running late but I do not worry about the time at the moment. It took me an hour in the shower because I’ve been thinking a lot. Realized so many things and created role play scenarios in my head which sorta helped me think through stuff clearly.

I’ve listened to few podcast episodes a couple of days ago and reflected on what I’ve learned from them. And I know that to really learn is to understand it then apply it. Growing up, I missed to know how to accept people from being who they are because I lived through my beliefs on decency and conservativeness. I’ve always wanted to inspire them and teach people how to decently live their lives, but I became selfish for building a standard that I expect them to follow. I lack understanding. I’ve realized that people are individually different from each other and how their life has been growing up has influenced them. And life has taught them. And whatever their choices are is out of my control. Sure I can inspire people, impart them what I know and nurture their minds with constant reminders not to resort to any bad decisions and acts but I cannot shape them with my own hands because they don’t owe me a favor. I cannot push them to be someone I want them to be just to please and meet my standards. It’s not caring at all, it’s selfishness. And to truly care is to teach people to be themselves in the most decent way they can.

To become a true stoic is to not be a snowflake. “Snowflakes, whether they are on the left or the right, are miserable because they need the world to be a certain way--their way. They are constantly at risk of being upset and disturbed because someone else--someone with views different than their own--has the power to say or do or think for themselves. A Stoic, on the other hand, is open-minded and content to let others live and think as they wish.”

Being that super confined kind of a person, I forgot that each people has their own ways on how to live their lives. And what is effective for me cannot always be that effective to them. I judge them because they do something I don’t, and just because I don’t like them I automatically omit the value of their ideas. Which isn’t a trait of a true stoic. And for someone like me who aspires to Influence others. I realized that in order to teach people is truly understand them for who they are.

I might have really been selfish especially to the people who matters to me because I get upset just because they don’t completely meet the standards I solely created for myself, which technically means it could only work for myself and not for others.

For years, this is what’s actually missing. Acceptance of others. I’ve confined myself within my own bars. And to truly love people is to truly accept and understand them. And teach them without and judgement. I have realized that whatever they like and believe in as long as it does not harm themselves or anyone is not as bad as I think it was. And that people’s uniqueness is what made each one of us distinctive and beautiful. And I am happy to finally accept everyone for who they are and unload these wrong expectations. We are all beautiful human beings and we are designed to be different for a reason. Let’s empower each other’s difference.

It’s been a while and by that I mean 9 months of being inactive. I cannot even remember what this blog is for, probably just another dump site or a digital outlet for all my shananigans in life. 2018 has been a very busy year for me, both for my day job and freelancing job, but I ain’t complaining. Life has been good so far and I want to savour every bit of it. 

I’ve ran over this site and visited old blog entries which mostly consists my sappy poems and proses, and of course some articles I wrote to help and influence others. Upon reading some of them, my desire for writing came back. I know I’ve been writing up until now, for work and for my creative journal. But somehow I think that I am not actually writing at all, not for myself, but for others. I write a lot but I forgot how to value the purpose of writing, how it’s supposed to be done and its importance to me.

Hopefully, I can get back to it. And ressurrect that passion.

I’ll be back soon when I can.
