"I think you'd find being the 'ead of a ship, and running it, allows you the title 'Captain'.

"An' I couldn't do anythin' for my crewmates! They were all doomed, an' if I'd stayed tha' would've been me too! Jus' patrollin' tha'  freaky ship as a reapling FOREVER. An' don't get me started 'bout those sisters!

"To go between dimensions takes loads o' power. You angered any gods recently?"

Um…Florida. It’s in another dimension…if you will.

"Well tha' was one very clever someone, then. Nobody knows the sea an' all it's islands like me! Where did you come from then?"

“Well ‘ello missy! Wha’ can Captain Linebeck do for ya?”

Linebeck used the available space to swing round his legs and sit on the end of the bed. Normally he would have walked up and down, but seeing as he was restricted, this would have to do. Now having to be careful not to tip onto his side, he tried to think of an answer for Bellum.

"I'm no' quite sure..."

Suddenly aware of a slight pain in the back of head, Linebeck winced and rubbed said spot.

"May'e I did bump my 'ead."

Bellum gave another somewhat nervous laugh. “Ahh ya musta hit yer head, Cap’n. We ain’t ne’er met a’ffore. Jus’ picked ya up ou’ th’ wreckage o’ yer ship.” Bellum seemed to notice the bonds keeping Linebeck down. “And uh… ya were strugglin’ in yer sleep, so we ‘ad ta tie ya down so ya’d stay still.”

"Wow. I'd 'ave thought tha' a phantom anythin' would 'ave gone through the ship. I'm guessing this ghostly squid..."

Suddenly a squid popped into Linebeck's mind and he shivered. Why was he scared? He wasn't scared of tiny things like... squids, was he? 

Linebeck suddenly tried to sit upright again, bashing his head into Bellum's "TENTACLES!"

Bellum gave another somewhat nervous laugh. “Ahh ya musta hit yer head, Cap’n. We ain’t ne’er met a’ffore. Linebeck raised an eyebrow. "Fine then. D'ya know wha' hit my ship?"

"Well I only met one demon(ess), an' she seemed okay without the tentacles . I don't think I met an angel yet - but they're meant to be all glorious, righ'?"
