In a twist that seems very typical for this website, I am finding that I can't bypass the two factor authentication for this account... It was probably associated with my old number. I could theoretically revive it, but I don't feel like it.

I am logged in the app but you can't turn off two factor in-app... And as they helpfully pointed out in their help section - customer service won't turn it off for you.

What a symbolic way to end this shitshow of a blog. I am going to try to solve it sooner rather than later - make a new account, post it here, refollow people, archive this one...

I am making this my one thing to get mad at within social media this week, lol. But- some people are spinning this as "doing the right thing even when it's standing up to authority" and like, huh, I wonder who the authority is within the school setting. Probably the friends you betrayed. That's what real anti-authoritarians do!

And it's even more bizarre in the sense that standing up to your friends when they do a bad thing is hard and many fail at it but like. You get that in real life there is no "teacher" to snitch to anonymously unless you are calling actual cops on your friends (which I'm sure some of the ppl in the thread would proudly do), in real life your best bet is to actually try talking to your friends and persuading them, which is exactly what the kid didn't do.

People want to be cops so hard and it sucks.

Fascinating snitching discourse... I was a huge nerd in high school and was even friendly with some teacher but it would never in a million years occur to me to tell on people? Much less my actual friends....
