Kids who are rejected by their dads are more likely to have social anxiety. Studies show children with heterosexual parents face increased loneliness when they’re rejected by either parent, but only rejection by their fathers leads to lasting social anxiety and difficulty forming friendships. I know it’s not hard to point out reactionaries hypocrisy when it comes to like safe spaces or hug boxes or whatever but genuinely how much of an echo chamber do you have to exist in for you to think this is a reasonable thing to say

So I’ve been dealing with undiagnosed ADD for God knows how long and finally got frustrated enough with it that I went to a doctor and I was prescribed Adderal 10 mg for it today. I took it and now I just feel really chill and kinda tired? Not necessarily any more focused. I’ve never had the hyperactive part of it, just the overactive mind and inability to focus. I’m a writer, I have a freakin degree in creative writing and I was always the person with my head stuck in a book or scribbling a story in a notebook in junior high and high school and I’ve been unable to even focus long enough to read a book for so long so I’m dying for a change. But if this med is just going to make me want to sleep, it’s not quite what I’m going for. I can sleep just fine, I’m usually always tired. Is this normal? I have a follow up appointment in a month.
