to be honest there has never been a fictional character i’ve actually wanted to date. like. i want them to date each other. i don’t want myself as a person to be involved in this scenario whatsoever. what would i add to this narratively? what’s my thematic purpose in the narrative? immersion breaking.
#i started building a ”me” that would fit into middle-earth#or be right at home as in dracula’s castle#and i built intricate lore and things in my head#intensive headcanoning where i was a ranger in middle-earth#or dracula’s uhhhhhhh ”pet”#it got so intense i would zone out in class#i would forget homework#so yeah there’s a word for that#maladaptive daydreaming#(i still do it but not as intensely)

I did not, in fact, love Nosferatu. It was beautiful and most of the special effects and music were great.
And still… I did not love it. Two out of five stars.
Or maybe I went in expecting something utterly mind-blowing, a 6/5 movie, but ended up disappointing which made the movie feel worse than it actually really is.
Go watch it, though, because I’m rather sure most people will like it. I just don’t seem to vibe with Eggers’ movies—I did not love The Witch nor did I love The Lighthouse.
