Caught in Mary’s Trap. Sepia is an interesting alternative to black and white. The original illustration is more of a French grey.

Eternal haikus for quill practice--almost time to start the storyboards. My current collective count is 344 haiku. The top one is not a haiku. Barely even words, really.

Quill sketch of the girls and their blossomed accompaniments. The layout is really doofy, I was just making a chart of their faces and got the urge to color it. This one’s uncharacteristically colorful.

More quill sketches of The Perfect Ten. Determined to get a handle on each shape involved in these characters’ faces. Hugo is particularly difficult--any tiny variation stretches his appearance from Jerry Seinfeld to Jeff Goldblum to Steve Buscemi to Lucielle Ball. Been obsessed with figuring it out--these are about half the sketches.
Apologies for poor photo quality; scanner is coming soon!

More quill pen sketches--Mary, “Fluminis” [The River], Emerson, haiku and my well running a bit low. More to come, I’m sure.

My phone’s camera barely picks up the complexity of the lines, but it’s a nice interpretation. Been obsessed with orange india ink. Quill pens are the only way to go. I’m training myself off pencils. Imperfect but straightforward.

First official character sheet. Wasn't going to post them but goddammit this took me two weeks. Mostly posting for my own reference, anyway.
Now I can stop drawing this man's face. For now.
