An Objective Summary of Iskall85’s Video

I am making this summary of Iskall’s claims so that you do not have to watch his video and inadvertently support him. This is an OBJECTIVE summary containing only his points, and leaving my opinions out of it. I must state however that I do not support Iskall. I don’t feel like inserting any more of my opinions into this so as to not get attacked by either side.

TW: MENTIONS OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT, DEPRESSION, SUICIDAL THOUGHTS, THREATS

All of the things henceforth stated are ALLEGED, and I, InsoucianceArt, do not necessarily believe or support them.

A Hermit was presented with the allegations and brought it to the other Hermits without Iskall’s knowledge.

The Hermits summoned Iskall for a hearing with a deadline of 1.5 hours (time zones considered).

Iskall had contacted the police and was advised to not comply with the Hermits’ demands. Iskall told the Hermits of this, but they told him that if he didn’t attend the hearing he would be publicly removed from Hermitcraft. 

Iskall resigned.

Iskall has no income, has received hate and threats, has seen no reason to continue living.

The investigation on the rumours and allegations is still ongoing. Iskall was advised not to speak in public, hence why he has only done so now.

Iskall goes through the typical explanation of cancel culture and why things can be blown out of proportion

One of the victims has done this (aka bringing claims of sexual harassment from a content creator) before.

Iskall states that Hermitcraft should have waited.

Iskall has increased the security of his private life.

Iskall compares cancel culture to witch hunts.

Nobody has the right to infringe upon Iskall’s private life.

Hermitcraft was biased when they posted the tweet and subsequently did not moderate the Reddit forum.

One of the Vault Hunters devs has been calling shots and claiming they have taken over the project, all without Iskall’s approval. However, Iskall claims ownership of Vault Hunters, as he owns the rights to it.

The developers have received due compensation for their work on VH. 

5 VH devs wrote a document that, according to Iskall’s solicitor, can be seen as extortion. It demands full ownership of VH, its assets, and its funds. Iskall did not sign this document and sees this as a huge betrayal. These devs are now no longer representing VH or part of Iskall’s team.

Iskall is going to continue work on VH. 

Another spat about cancel culture.

Iskall states the goal of all of this was to “delete him from the internet” and to wreck every opportunity he had/has. He states he will never go that low himself.

Iskall is waiting for the police to finish their investigation. 

Iskall thanks his remaining supporters and says to keep an eye out on his Twitch and YouTube, meaning he will probably return to content creation.

AITA for putting a guy back in his prison

So I, (𝙹ꖎ↸ᒷ∷ ℸ ̣ ⍑ᔑリ ℸ ̣ ╎ᒲᒷ ᔑリ↸ ⊣ᒷリ↸ᒷ∷ ╎ᓭ ᔑ ᓭ𝙹ᓵ╎ᒷℸ ̣ ᔑꖎ ᓵ𝙹リᓵᒷ!¡ℸ ̣), am one of the watchers overseeing these death games you've all been hearing about on this sub reddit. I know some of you are biased because we've "made you suffer" and all that, but please keep an open mind.

During the last (or second last? depends if you count the one-off), before the death game, I just oversaw, we kept a player after he had won. Let's call this player S. After S won, we thought that keeping him there would work well for us. We were kept fed, and everything was okay. After almost a year, a new full game started. After S died (to a snail lol), we decided to pull him back to the previous game. Apparently, the other players are once again upset about this but also more emotions for us to eat soo. Also, I think S is losing his mind again. Again, yummy.

Anyways, AITA? Seems like the players think I am, but my fellow watchers don't think so.

AITA for starting a secret alliance with my situationship?

I (30-something M) teamed up with my friends J (28M) and L (32F) in our friend group’s latest bonding activity/death game. All three of us have a reputation for dying a lot (even though I won the last game, not to brag) so we really wanted to come out on top this time.

Our other friends, M (29M), S (45M), and G (31M) formed a team that based near us, and we had a lot of beef with them. G specifically wanted to kill both me and J until we were out of the game, so it’s safe to say tension was high. However, after a prank involving a robot and a snail caused me to lose a life, G felt bad and came to me with a compromise. He gave me a mace and proposed an alliance between me and the rest of his team.

Now for context, me and G have a bit of a complicated relationship in these games. He beat me to death in a desert, I tortured him using ice, you know, normal relationship things. Things have been kinda weird since he cheated on me with B (34M) a couple years back, so of course I jumped at the opportunity to reconnect with him!

Here’s where I might be the asshole. Even though he was cool with me, G made it very clear that he was still out to get J. Still, I didn’t think much of it until the end of the game. It turns out that G had set up a trap in our base that would explode everyone inside of it. Immediately after I lost my last life, G activated the trap, killing J and L both.

I feel kinda bad for allying with the guy who took out the rest of my team. Pretty soon after, the eldritch gods that orchestrate these games took me back to the prison that they’ve been isolating me in for the last year, so I don’t know if they’re mad at me or not. AITA?

the whole tiktok situation is EXACTLY why media literacy and education on propaganda is so important. the notifications about tiktok going down and then coming back use VERY propagandistic language, and with a literal fascist coming into power in the us tomorrow we need to be even more critical of the information we’re consuming and stay on the lookout for political stunts like this
