Wow, now there's a bot going around on Ao3 telling people that the "moderators" will delete works from "deprecated" fandoms and impose bans.
Fearmongering bullshit, but it's fearmongering bullshit that seems to be taking advantage of the recent spotlight series in order to trick authors into deleting their fics.
Just. Why.
What the hell does anyone get out of making these bots.

Crossroads 2
Good Omens x reader Part 1 Word count: 4,763 Warnings: Discussions of war, religion, mentions of death and violence AO3 Notes: It's a long one so buckle up.I DON'T OWN THIS GIF

The plan was devised. Crowley will take the Anti-Christ to the chapter, the American politician and his wife will show up, she gives birth, and the nuns swap their child out for the dark lords son.
Sounded easy enough.
In actual practice…it was a bit more chaotic. Especially when you decide to tip the scales.
You and Crowley entered the elevator.
“So babies come from demons, not storks” Crowley let out the smallest huff at your lame attempt at a joke. “You didn't say how you felt about all of this.” He glanced at you with raised eyebrows.
“The apocalypse thing or everything everything?”
You shrugged, “One is the result of the other.” He hummed, “In general I think it's a waste. All that time used to create such a vast and complicated world just to end it before it could hit a million.” You looked at his side profile, “Very poetic…and I couldn't agree more. I wasn't around for the very beginning of it like you were, but I can imagine how nice it was up there.” You brought your gaze to your feet, “You did good with the stars by the way. They're nice.” It was Crowley's turn to look at your side profile, a small smile gracing his features. “They are, aren't they?”
There was a beat of silence and then he spoke again as you both arrived topside. “So what changed you?” Your brows came together, “What do you mean?”
“You know,” he gestured vaguely, “you- well you're not very demon-y by not fighting for ‘The Great Plan’. So I'm curious what happened to you that made you turn your back on Hell.” You scratched your head, “Oh, well it's a long story. I don't want to bore you.” You let out an awkward laugh. The truth was you didn't want Crowley to know the real reason you quote, ‘turned your back on Hell’, it was a horror story. One of death and destruction, not something you easily shared. Definitely not when this demon was friends/acquaintances/whatever with an angel. You didn't even think to wonder if said angel knew who you really were, what you had done in the past.
“Give me the abridged version.” You crossed the road towards the bookshop. “I-The war of the Fallen was taxing for everyone and I simply don't want to use my energy on such frivolous things again. It's the Sloth in me.” Again you let out an awkward laugh this time Crowley didn't give much of a reaction to this joke. “I see.” He didn't look convinced but he didn't continue pushing.
The two of you stopped at the doors of the store and he turned to face you, “I imagine the deal has been fulfilled now. You don't need to follow me to the birth, do you?” You shook your head, “No I guess I don't…” A sudden thought popped into your head, what if you dipped your hand into this swap? What if you tipped the scales?
“Would it be alright if I did though? Or at least be around?” He stared at you for a moment. “Why?” You shrugged your shoulders and let the fib easily slip from your lips, “It’s the Anti-Christ, why not?” You hoped he'd take the bait. You did feel a bit guilty for lying to Crowley but hey, it was only a little white lie. “To be honest I can't help but be curious. Half human, half celestial demon? Is he gonna have hooves? Horns? Weird eyes? The possibilities are endless.” You huffed a chuckle and internally cringed, you were so bad with small talk and by the look on Crowley's face, he thought so too. “I'll see you at the convent then.” You nodded, “See you there.” Not wanting to embarrass yourself any longer, you turned on your heel and fast walked out of there.
Tumblr media
Finally it was the night. The Anti-Christ was to be born. You stood outside the chapter and took in the scenery, lush and green. Your hellhounds were running around and rubbing themselves in the grass, big slobbery tongues hanging out from smiling jaws. You couldn't help but smile at them, they were so cute. Crouching down you gave the one on the ground a belly rub, her ears perked and tail wagged wildly, smacking you hard on the leg. “Who's my pretty girl? Such a good girl, having fun in the grass.” She let out a deep distorted bark and continued to revel in your affection. As you were distracted you missed the sound of paws pounding onto the ground as they grew closer to you but all you know is one minute you were up and the next you were splayed out on your back and getting covered in saliva. “Oof-! Awe come on!” You laughed and tried to shove the demonic dog off you, “That's enough,” Your other two soon joined in and laid down on you, effectively pinning you to the ground as their packmate continued to give you doggy kisses. “No! Sto-thats enough!” You could barely get the words out between laughs but thankfully the hound stopped and sat on your chest, pushing all the air out of your lungs.
“Okay big guy I get it.” You wheezed out. Reaching a hand up you gave him a good scritch behind the ear, his big heavy head leaned into your fingers. A low grumble reverberated through him and you. It made you laugh again. “You big goof.” With your other hand you reached out to the other two who laid on both of your legs. “Alright, up, everybody up!” They perked up and stood immediately, tails wagging wildly again as they could tell it was almost time to work. “Okay guys so the plan is to corner the nuns so we can swap the babies and then little Anti-Christ won't grow up in America and we can give some other sad couple a happy little baby…who could end the world.” Yeah your plan wasn't very well thought out. In theory you wanted to do it like Moses, send him down a path that would end with him in the hands of someone wonderful who will raise him to be a good person.
One of the hounds brushed against you and whined. There was an ambulance rushing down the road. And there was another set of lights behind it, and another. You were confused but then remembered there was a politician in one of those cars, the rest must be security. The cars pulled up in increments. The ambulance had a brunette woman come out with a couple of men in suits, they helped her to the doors but also lugged a device that had a man on the screen. Odd. The next car had a couple exit it, one man and a woman, both hobbling towards the front doors as well. Two women? But you thought- a black Bentley booming with music pulls up last and the redhead you've been waiting for comes out, basket in hand. He looks across the yard and makes eye contact with you, his eyebrows raising in question. You nod and begin your way over, your hounds trailing behind.
“Big ones aren't they?” You smirked, “What can I say, I feed them good.” He returned the amusement. “Why'd you bring them anyway?” You gave one of the hounds a scratch, “Letting them stretch their legs that's all.” You looked at the basket, “That him?” Crowley looked down at the basket with an uninterested look, “Yeah.” Walking closer you pointed, “Can I take a peak?” Crowley lifted the basket towards you, immediately the hounds crowded the two of you. “Gentle.” Ears were perked and swiveling, curious and cautious. You lifted the blanket and looked inside, it was a normal human baby but power radiated from him. He smelled like lavender and smoke. You could almost call him cute. “You'd never guess he'd bring the end of the world. Poor thing.” You dropped the blanket and straightened back up, the hounds still walked in circles around Crowley sniffing everything, you snapped your fingers and they came back to your side. “Guess it's time to get the party started aye?”
Crowley looked over his shoulder to the convent, “Yeah it's time for the main event.” He turned and strutted into the chapter.
Now it was your turn.
At first you didn’t move, second guessing to yourself. Was this a good idea?
Again, a hound nuzzled at your thigh and whined. Clearly they were growing antsy.
“Alright here’s the plan. You need to corner the nun who will be swapping the babies and do not let her leave until she surrenders the child. Guard the baby and come get me. And do not let Crowley know what we’re doing. Understood?” The Hellhounds yipped and howled in response, tails wagging and tongues out. You gave them a nod and they ran off. You flicked a finger and opened the door. You entered a moment later watching the hounds who had their noses in the air trying to sniff out the baby. After turning a couple of corners they saw a nun pushing two carts. They attacked. They surrounded the nun, snarling and snapping their jaws. The nun let out a yelp and brought the bassinets closer to her person. One of the hounds left to retrieve you and when you came into the room, you couldn’t help but be confused. “Why do you have two?” The nun stared at you with fear and didn't speak. “Where’s the Anti-Christ?” She remained silent. You could sense the child was in the general area but couldn’t pinpoint him. You let your eyes glow red, “Speak nun. Why do you have two babies?” She took a step back and your hounds got closer, one of them going as far as biting her habit in an attempt to keep her in place. “Who are you?” You furrowed your brow, “I’m a demon and I need to know where the Anti-Christ is.”
“I have him and the other woman's baby.” You sighed, “What the fuck?…okay, give them to me.” The nuns grip tightened on the bassinets , “We weren’t told this was a part of the plan.” You growled and shot your hand out to her, palm up waiting for her to push the carriers in your direction. “Change of plans, I’ve been entrusted to do the swap. Now give me the offspring” She hesitantly moved the bassinets into your hands. “Good,” You turned and barked out an order, “Watch her and don’t let anyone in.” You stormed the halls and walked to the blonde woman's room. You stopped outside the room and took a deep breath, this was insane, you were quite literally changing the world right now. You had your back to the door and walked backwards, pushing the door open with your bum.
“Here’s your child! Healthy and ready to go.” You placed the Anti-Christ next to the father. “What’s with the other baby?” You let out a fake laugh and looked at the other cart, “Oh! There was another woman who gave birth in the ward, I thought it’d be easier to bring both of them back instead of making two trips.” The father hummed in agreement, “Two birds with one stone.” You chuckled and nodded, “Yep! Well congratulations and luck to you both.” Spinning around you left the room and started to fast walk to the politicians room but as you got closer you saw the door was open. “Hello Warlock.”
Shit.
They had already given the American a baby. The child you had must either be the British baby or the one the Chapter already had. Either way you are now standing in the hallway with the extra baby. How the fuck were you going to get rid of this baby?
-------
It was only a few days of you going back into your regular routine when you got to give the extra baby away. It was to a mother who was willing to sell her soul to have a son. You were extremely lucky to have had such an opportunity fall into your lap. And maybe you'll take her soul in 7 years and the kid will grow up fine, right?
The whole ordeal was chaotic but technically a win for you, the Anti-Christ was going to grow up a somewhat normal life with no celestial supernatural interference. You just hope he won’t hate the world when he comes of age.
During the night of the swap you didn’t bump into Crowley after your initial hello. But now you stood outside The Ritz. Crowley and his angel friend were inside, he had asked you to meet them there. He never gave a good reason why, just vaguely said something about drinking to Armageddon. You didn’t have anything to lose and only you, your hounds, and that one nun knew what really happened that night.
You saw the two of them at a table, the angel eating some kind of cake. “Y/n! Have a seat.” Crowley waved you over. “Hello Crowley, and?” You waited for the angel to introduce himself. “Aziraphale.” You stuck a hand out, “Y/n, it’s nice to meet you properly.” The angel looked at your hand apprehensively, “Sorry. Habit.” You wiped your hand on your pant leg and sat. Silently beating yourself up. There’s no way you just tried to shake hands with an angel, shake hands, you, the crossroads demon, with an angel. You were mortified. “Anyways,” Crowley broke the tension, “How would you say the swap went y/n?” You took a sip of water to quench the sudden anxiety his question brought. “Um, good! Yeah, good, everything went to plan.” Aziraphale had his eyes casted down on his dessert, “Even with the second woman showing up?” You took another big gulp, “Yeah, surprisingly, everything went smoothly.” Crowley hummed, “I didn’t see much of you inside. I thought I saw you come in after me.” You looked at him for a second trying to decipher if he was suspicious of you or if he was asking genuinely. You found yourself at the ladder. “I did go in for a bit. After you handed the baby over I hung out in the hallway and watched the nuns do their thing.” Neither of them questioned you further on the subject.
Aziraphale took another bite of his cake. “What kind of cake is that?” You asked as you eyed the sweet. “It’s a strawberry shortcake.” Your eyes shot from the plate to Crowley as he propped his arm up on the table, his hand rubbing the underside of his chin, watching Aziraphale take another bite. You observed for a moment before copying him, leaning slightly towards the angel, “Sounds good. I’ve never had one from here before, how would you rate it?” The angel chewed for a moment before closing his eyes and relishing in the deliciousness. He let out a pleasant hum, “It’s the perfect blend of sweet and a little tart. They always have the best strawberries. Positively scrumptious.” You smiled, “I’ll have to try it sometime.” Aziraphale met your eyes and finally took notice of how you were a little closer, the angel sat back a little in his chair but sent a very small, again apprehensive, smile before turning to Crowley. “So, what are you in the mood for now?” The demon didn’t miss a beat, “Alcohol.” He grabbed his spoon and hit the side of his wine glass, “Quite extraordinary amounts of alcohol.” You couldn’t help but laugh at him. This caused both beings to look over at you. “Do you partake y/n?” The angel had that innocent cherub look on his face. You shrugged, “Sometimes, only certain occasions really.” Crowley stood, “There’s nothing more certain than this. Come on.” He started to saunter away, Aziraphale stuttered out a noise before getting up and trailing behind him leaving you at the table. With the bill. Or at least you assumed, you pulled a couple hundreds out of thin air and left them under Aziraphales plate.
The two of them were in the front seats of the Bently while you clambered into the back, “Thanks for leaving me with the bill guys.” Crowley glanced at you in the rearview mirror, “You paid the bill?” You made eye contact, “Obviously. You two left without paying.” Aziraphale looked over his shoulder, “Oh we always miracle money after.” You deadpanned, “Wow, thanks for telling me. I could’ve used that money.” The duo looked at each other, Crowley shrugged and pulled onto the road. Aziraphale glanced over his shoulder at you again, “I’m surprised you paid.” You looked at him a little confused, “Why?” This time he shrugged, “You’re a demon, that’s all.” He shifted in his seat and turned his gaze out the window, “I would think giving money to humans would be…” He trailed off. “What? Beneath me? Just because I’m a demon doesn’t mean I’m an asshole.” Aziraphale didn’t continue. The three of you sat in silence as Crowley zoomed through the streets, Queen playing quietly in the background.
The bently pulled up in front of the bookstore. You cleared your throat, “I’m sorry Aziraphale, I didn’t mean to come off as rude.” The angels eyebrows shot up in shock, he swiveled in his seat to look you in the eye, his face twisted in disbelief “Oh…It’s alright. I shouldn’t have implied that you were inconsiderate just because you’re a demon. You’re forgiven.” You nodded, “It’s alright.” He copied you and nodded back, a small smile gracing his face. “I have several very nice bottles of Chateauneuf du Pape in the back. I picked up a dozen cases in 1921 and there’s still some left for special occasions.” Crowley whipped open his door, “Lovely, let’s go!” The lanky man got out and made his way to the front doors quickly. Aziraphale darted his eyes to you, studying you.
You could feel his stare, it was a little unnerving. You suppose he’s only really ever been around Crowley and just assumed no other demon had the same morals as them, at least you hoped that’s why he was looking at you that way. “Well I’m pretty excited to try this wine.” You spoke as you got out of the car, not wanting to be subjected to the angels analysing any longer.
Aziraphale followed behind and brought his keys out of his pocket. Crowley cocked his hip out, “Say they’re not very big on wine in Heaven are they there? I’m never gonna get any more nice little Chateauneuf du Pape in Heaven. Or a single malt scotch. Or a little frou-frou cocktails with umbrellas.” Aziraphale let out an exasperated sigh, “Crowley, I’ve told you, I’m not helping you. I’m not interested. This is purely social. I am an angel, you are a demon. We’re hereditary enemies.” He unlocked the front door, “Get thee behind me foul fiend. After you.” Aziraphale smiled and waved his arm out to let Crowley go first. You couldn’t help but snicker at the two of them. What an odd pair.
-Four hours later-
The three of you were positively drunk. Anything and everything was talked about. “What years were the best for you?” Crowley had removed his glasses a bit ago, his yellow eyes looked at you inquisitively. You let out a hum and thought for a moment, “Well the bubonic plague was chaotic. The Renaissance was a lot of fun, parties were great and the innovation I got to inspire. Of course any of the big wars…but definitely after the first world war. Humans were so lost and desperate. It was really sad.” The room is quiet. “It was good for business but I wasn’t happy. Oh! But after, the music, the rejuvenation of it all. What a time.” Aziraphale tilted his head over to you, “Then the depression hit.” You sucked your teeth, “Yeah…but the Titanic-”
-Two more hours past-
Crowley was stumbling around while Aziraphale was sitting in his chair in front of his desk while you were sprawled out in the armchair.
“S-so, wha, what exactly is your point?” Aziraphale could barely keep his head up. “My point is,” Crowley let out a burp, “My point is dolphins. That’s my point.” He walked to the loveseat and flung himself down, “Big brains. Damn big brains. It’s not to mention the whales. Brain city, whales.”
“Kraken.” Aziraphale piped in and let out a big blow of air, “Ooo great big bugger.”   He lowered his voice for dramatic effect. “Supped to rise up to the surface right, right up,” He pointed his finger in the air, “Right up at the end. When the sea boils.” You nodded, “The Kraken…he’s pretty cool.” The angel and demon looked at you, “You know the Kraken?” You shrugged your shoulders, “Yeah? We’re both from the third circle. Practically grew up together, the leviathans were not the best nannies but they did what they could.” The two of them looked at you like you grew another head.
Then Crowley sat up and leaned towards the angel, “Wha-, that’s my point. Whole sea bubbling, the dolphins and whales, everybody turning into buwe, bwu, buwuw, baby.” Aziraphale tried to copy Crowley, lips stuck out in a purse. You shook with laughter while Crowley continued with his ‘point’, “Fish stew, anyway, it’s not their fault. And that’s same with gorillas, they say like ‘whoop!’. They say, ‘ah the sky’s gone red, there’s-’ “ Crowley started slicing his hand through the air, “Stars crashing down and what are they putting in bananas these days?!” Crowley got up to pace. You hummed and nodded, taking a swig of wine.
“They’re all creatures, great and small.” Aziraphale cradled his cup and lost his gaze to a random spot on the wall. Crowley turned to face the two of you, “You know what’s worse, when it’s all over, you’ve got to deal with eternityyy!” His voice went super high at the end which causes you to wince and cover your ears. “Crowley!” You said fruitlessly.
“Eternity?” Aziraphale also righted himself in his seat. You watched his expression grow uncertain and nervous. You spoke, “Yeah the rest of our lives will be spent stuck in our respective places. Boring.” You tipped your head back and downed the rest of your glass. “No it won’t be so bad at first. Although,” He waltzed over and picked up a book, “No Stephen Sondheim first nights in eternity I'm afraid.” Aziraphale looked over at you with a pained expression which you couldn’t help but mirror. “Although I have heard rumors that your boss really loves ‘The Sound of Music’!” Aziraphale shook his head and groaned loudly. “Fancy spending eternity watching that? You could literally climb every mountain over and over and over and over-” Crowley kept repeating till Aziraphale butted in, “I-I don’t like it anymore than you do but I told you, I-I can’t diso-not do what I’m told.” You grimaced at him. “An angel- I, um I, I can’t cope with this while I’m drunk. I’m going to sober up.”
“Yeah me too.” You sighed, “Guess I should too.” The three of you reversed the liquor back into the bottles. “You know I will miss whales, they’re so cool.” You let out another sigh, this one more sad. “I’m gonna miss Earth…” The angel looked at you solemnly. “Yes, it will be a difficult loss but it is to be destroyed.” Your shoulders sagged a bit more. Crowley opened his mouth to add in but a sudden red light pierced the room.
“What is that?” Aziraphale looked around.
You groaned and stood up, stretching your arms up toward the ceiling, “Sorry, that’s me. Duty calls.” The red light emanated from the palms of your hands. You look down at them briefly, the light seering into your eyes.
You shook your hands a little and walked to the front door, “I see why the two of you are friends. It’s rather pleasant to have someone. I hope the two of you don’t mind if I come back every once in awhile” Aziraphale glanced at Crowley who met his eyes, the demon shrugged and turned his head back to you. The angel blinked a few times then copied the demon and put his attention back on you and spoke after clearly his throat, “I don’t see why not.” Aziraphale gave you one of his smiles, there was still something hidden underneath it but you’ll take it over nothing.
“I’ll see you around then.” You smiled at them as you wrapped a knuckle on the door, the door jam glowed red, wisps of crimson ichor seeping from the cracks. You pushed the door open to reveal a dirt road in the middle of nowhere, “Thank you for today.” Aziraphale gave a small wave. Crowley nodded, “Yeah see you.” You left through the door.
The bookshop was silent.
Crowley turned back to Aziraphale who was sitting up stock straight with wide eyes trained on the now closed door. He was stiff and unmoving, all traces of emotion drained from his face. Crowley quickly became concerned.
“What?”
“I forgot who that was until all of that happened.”
“What do you mean?”
“Crowley that was The Beast.”
“I’m not following, I thought, you know, the devil was The Beast.”
“How do you not know? You’re a demon! You of all beings should know about them.”
“Be an angel and enlighten me. There’s a million demons I have met over the years.”
“During The War,” Aziraphale swallowed, “There was a creature, a monster, who killed everything and anything in its path.” He stared at the front door, gaze unwavering. “Lower ranked angels, higher ranked angels, arch angels…” There was a shaky exhale, “I can’t believe I forgot till now. There was almost nothing left of any of them, if or when we could find them. Not that celestial beings would leave material things in this plane but due to the nature of our circumstances-”
“I get it, angel.” Crowley stared at Aziraphales side profile, taking in his truly frightened expression. Aziraphales words brought memories back. Images passing through both their minds. Scenes that had been stored away bubbling back to the surface. The screams, blood, gore, unspeakable tragedies. And Y/n stood at the center.
Crowley remembers it better now, he had fallen not too long before The War had been declared. His body had just finished going through its demonic changes. He stood in a grassy field, the ocean clashing loudly against the rocks nearby. The Earth shook as leviathans and other hellish beings crawled out of the ground. Y/n came out, their form hunched over almost on all fours, their eyes a deep red and glowing, jaw slightly unhinged as they took deep breaths of the new air. Their teeth gnashed against one another, claws gripping the Earth. The Beast.
Most celestial beings were taught about the circles of Hell. Crowley barely remembers those days of being a young angel learning the logistics of everything but, he remembers the circles of Hell. The first 3 circles are nothing but the most evil and vile things you could think of. God threw her first creations, the leviathans, there. They were made to destroy and God couldn't handle having them roaming freely, so, the circles were made. People seem to forget God created Hell. It's a separate plane where a surprisingly self-sufficient ecosystem thrives. Hell creates its own creatures, kind of, the leviathans are powerful beings who happened to have a lot of time on their hands when they were placed down under. Hellhounds, devils, imps, poltergeists, fae, and the first demon were all birthed from the darkness. And when Lucifer was casted down and everything ‘evil’ treated him like any other living being, he decided to take over and give Hell order. That's where the other 6 circles came from.
It was lots of boring info Crowley barely paid attention to and he only ever visited the inner circles one time and he swore to never do it again. Purgatory was enough for him.
But Y/n, the crossroads demon, wasn’t anything like the stories about the monsters that lurked from the inner circles. Crowley has only known y/n for a short while but they hadn’t done anything that would make Crowley think they were evil, truly evil.
Was y/n really The Beast?

Crossroads
Good Omens x reader Word count: 2,834 Warnings: Allusions to war, religion (obvi) AO3 Notes: I took inspiration from Supernaturals take on crossroad demons, the red is cool B) I DON'T OWN THIS GIF
Tumblr media
You got popular with humans when they discovered free will.
Which lead them to discover envy, jealousy, egos, self-centered tendencies, greed, the whole grocery list. You weren't the demon who introduced the ideas unfortunately, just one of the few that have kept those ideals running among the mortals. You've given a lot of people a lot of things over the centuries; talent, money, love, power. All of it for the small price of a soul. There are many ways to conjure you but humans popularized the intersection of paths to be their primary method. It worked for you too, the paths separate but only conjoining for a moment, that moment where they will make a choice that will change their lives forever. You always liked the irony of it all.
"What can I help you with?"
The young man in front of you whipped around to face you, his coat flailing behind him. His dark brown eyes widened slightly before his brow furrowed, "You're the devil?" You internally rolled your eyes, Lucifer has never dealt with negotiations, its one of the tales told by mortals that irked you. All your hard work over shadowed by God's favourite rebel.
"If that's who you were calling for then yes, tis I" You threw in a smirk to try and seem friendly. It was only a small lie, you may not be the devil but, technically, demons and devils are the same creature, only separated by hellish status. And you, technically, are a devil.
"And who may you be?" The man in front of you swallowed and straightened up a bit. "I'm Robert, Robert Johnson." You left out a surprised laugh, "Oh the guitar player. I had a feeling I'd be meeting you soon." Roberts hands shifted against his trousers, probably wiping the sweat off them. "You know about me?" You looked left down the path, then right. "Yes, I hear about all those who sing the blues. After all people are often singing about despair and I happen to have expertise in that area" Your eyes landed back on his figure, a shoe box sitting at his feet with what you could assume was the usual offerings. "Now I can only guess what you've called me here for," Your eyes glowed red, "You fancying to make a deal Robert?"
You barely got the words out before he jumped,
"I want you to make me the best guitarist there ever was."
Tumblr media
Your relationship with Hell was a interesting one considering how much time you've spent away from it, you didn't have a very strong connection to the place, or any of the demons for that matter, well maybe one of them. You've spent all of your time on Earth, at this point you're pretty sure you've been to every corner of the planet. You were plopped topside at a young age, told to go make friends with the weird smelling humans and convince them that sinning was the way to go. You were awkward to say the least and the humans weren't very keen on your temptations, you learned pretty quickly that you needed to change your tactics. That's where your deals came into fruition. You were proud of your accomplishments and so was Lucifer and for your success he gave you a couple of hellhounds, your best friends.
So with all of that said, when you were called downstairs by Beelzebub it was odd. It had been a long time since you were last down there.
A heavy sigh left your lungs when you entered the dark, disheveled place. The air was hot and cold at the same time, the smell of sulfur lingered in the brimstone. You couldn't find it within yourself to miss any of this.
You turned towards the voice calling your name, "It's been a long time." You meet Beelzebub's eyes. "Suppose it has." You took another glance around the open room expecting other demons to be present, but, to your surprise it was only the two of you
"Have you heard?" You rubbed your nose and tried not to roll your eyes, "No Beelzebub I haven't. I've been kinda busy." A buzzing zipped around your head, "It's the end times...Armageddon. You're being called to fight."
"No." You let out a humorless laugh and shook your head, "I'm gonna pass, thank you."
"You can't pass y/n." You turned towards the exit. "I think I can." You tried to take a step forward but you were frozen in place. "Let me go Bee."
"You are a demon, a creature of sin. You were created for this moment. To gain the power back for our master, to enact his revenge!"
"His revenge? His?" You broke out of Beelzebub's invisible force and faced them again. "You do realize he doesn't care for us, just like his creator never cared for him. This war doesn't benefit us, it benefits no one! It's about a son and his absent mother! I'm not a family therapist and I'm not wasting my time dealing with this petty fight of whose side is better. And you shouldn't either Bee"
"It is Beelzebub! You are being ridiculous. I don't know how you're a demon, you're....you're a disgrace."
"I have given you soul, after soul, after soul. More than half of Hells' population came from me. I have given more to 'our master' than anyone! I thought we were friends Bee?"
"You will address me by my proper name! And demons don't have friends you know this. You're contributions to Hell have not gone unnoticed, this is why you will join the fight!"
You looked up at the ceiling, "Satan, you and this power trip. And to think I convinced him to crown you prince." You gestured as you spoke, "No, we've been over this. I won't be fighting for Hell, not after last time."
"Last time? Really? You are so weak to be detoured from your true calling."
"You almost died! Are you too stupid to remember I held your decaying form in my arms? That I dragged you back here? If it wasn't for me you would've been another one lost to existence."
"It is in our nature to do whatever it may cost."
"Grow a back bone Bee!" You stared at your old friend, a sadness you had forgotten about crept its way back inside you as you watched the inner turmoil behind their beady eyes. With a sigh, "Look I'll be busy so don't bother me with this ridiculous war. Which, by the way, isn't going to end well for you." You went to go to the exit again.
"Y/n wait-"
"What?!" Your eyes flashed red causing Beelzebub to flinched, almost barely noticeable. "I need you to help us...to help me." A low growl rumbled throughout the space. "The snake, Crowley, they want him to come back."
"Crowley? And what? You want me to go fetch him for you?"
"If you could do me the favour. It'll be the last one."
"Yes it will be." You stormed over to them, red smoke pouring out of your fingertips as you grabbed their hand roughly and shook it, "You will never be able to ask anything from me, there will be no more favours after this." You dropped their hand, "Like you said, we are not friends." Beelzebub gritted their teeth and held their hand, your sigil burned into their palm.
You walked away quickly as the ground shook and the wall split open to reveal a blue sky. Without looking back, you walked through.
it was quiet. A soft breeze blew rustling the clothes you wore. The view is one of your favourites, Everest. So high up and far away from everything, everyone. The apocalypse, Armageddon, the end of everything. Your throat hurt from the scream you let out. Your entire world, the world is gonna end. Everything you have known was going to go down in a fire. Your voice traveled far, the agonizing yell echoing through the peaks. You wondered if you should start grieving the Earth now. You've considered the floating rock your home for almost your whole life. You never fit in among hellish and you were shunned by the holy. It was the world's beautiful nature and your hounds that have kept you company over the eons. Why would the higher ups decide to end everything now? Why would they ever want to end this?
And Crowley? You had to look for him. He's been around since the beginning, he must know why. He's got to.
Tumblr media
It only took you a couple of days to find him. Soho, London. Not a bad choice. You stood in front of a bookstore, the inside visible from the large windows. It looked cozy. Bookshelves were everywhere and it looked like there were stacks of books on every surface too. You wondered if this collection was Crowley's, he didn't seem like the kind of person to enjoy books this much.
You kind of knew him. It wasn't long after The Fall when you were created and dumped onto Earth's doorstep. It was funny how the ground cracked open and a more feral version of yourself crawled out and he was standing there, white feathers still molting to black, staring at the red-eyed, mangy looking creature crouching like a dog in front of him. You didn't stick around long before running into the nothingness nearby.
You cringed slightly, hopefully he won't remember you.
Taking a deep breath you reached forward and walked into the bookshop.
Immediately you were met with the smell of tea, wood, and old books. It was warm, not temperature wise but the feeling of the establishment took over your earlier anxieties. "Hello?" You called out into the empty shop. You could feel the presence of another supernatural being, you definitely had your guy. Hair like a cloud, a man came out from the back, glasses on the end of his nose. His clothes had a cream colour scheme. And he was definitely not Crowley. "Oh, hello! How may I help you?" You shifted under his gaze and now that he was a little closer you could pick up on his smell, it was like someone turned on an old tv and the electricity was popping in the air, that undeniable angelic smell. His own natural scent lingered as well and it was much more pleasant, cedar and honey.
As he came to a stop in front of you, you could tell he knew you were a demon. He could sense it. It wasn't like you were trying to hide it anyways, there wasn't a point to it when you thought you were going to meet with one of your own.
"I, uh, I'm looking for someone..." You awkwardly looked around the space, trying to use your ears and nose to sus out if someone else was in the building. "Oh well it is just myself here. Do you perhaps have a name? I might be able to point you in their direction." The angel gave you a kind smile that didn't meet his eyes. "Yeah, um, Crowley? He's....an acquaintance?" You felt yourself make a face. "An acquaintance?" The angel repeated the words in the same I-don't-believe-what-I'm-saying way. "I mean we're more like coworkers, distant coworkers....okay look you obviously aren't human and I know that you know I'm not either so let's stop beating around the bush." You rubbed at your face to relieve tension, "I don't work in hell, well technically I do, I mean not in, you could say I work for hell but that also isn't the correct way of titling my job?- Sorry I'm getting off track. Anyways, I need to talk to Crowley because I'm doing Hell a favour. Do you know where he is?" The angel blinked at you a couple of times, processing his answer to your small word vomit moment. "I wouldn't know where he-"
"Please I thought lying was my sides thing. It's not really a secret you two 'hangout'. " The angel closed his mouth and you continued, "I don't want to be here anymore than you want me here so if you could be nice and point me in his direction like you said-"
"And who are you?"
You looked over your shoulder to see the man you were looking for. "Crowley?" His eyebrows rose up from behind his glasses, "Yes and who are you?" He took a couple steps closer to you. "I uh, you don't remember me but I'm y/n." This time his brows lowered to furrow. He mumbled your name a couple of times before he let out a bit of air, "Oh! Yeah you're the weird one who came out of the ground that one time." You huffed out a sigh, "Yeah, yeah that's, uh, that's me. I do work the crossroads too you know?" He waved his hand dismissively, "Yeah you do, don't you?" You grew antsy and glanced between the demon and angel, "I'm not here to rain on...whatever this is, I was just asked to tell you that they need you to go down there." Crowley made a noise at the back of his throat, "And they had to send someone to tell me? Making me feel important." He turned to the angel and smirked.
"Crowley, are you sure?" Worried features took over the cherubs face. "Remember what-" The demon waved his hand again, "Yes, yes, I'll head on down in a bit." You continued to stare at him. "What, right now?" You nodded, "Yeah, I need to finish the deal." His brows shot up to his hairline, "Deal? You made a deal over me?" You rolled your eyes, "No not 'over' you," You brought up your hands to use quotations, "I'm done with Hell. I made a deal with Beelzebub so they could never ask me to do anything for Hell again." Crowley slightly nodded his head to your words and glanced at the angel who was still standing in front of you. "I told them I'd bring you to Hell so they could-" You stopped yourself and looked to the angel, he was watching you as you spoke, a hard look in his eyes. He must know what was going on. "They'll tell you when we get there." You casted your eyes down, somewhat feeling guilty for knowing that this demon was being dragged into another war that would change his life forever, again.
"Well let's get this over with." Crowley walked past you and out the door. You walked to the door and paused to look over your shoulder at the angel, "...Thanks for the help." You gave him a small smile and left to catch up with Crowley. The lanky man was going to a pair of double doors tucked away from the more busier areas. "So what's this meeting about?" You both entered the 'elevator'. "The Apocalypse." Crowley looked over at you, "Oh really? Guess it's about time ain't it?" You sigh, "Suppose so..." He shifted his body towards you a bit, "You don't seem very thrilled about it." You picked at your fingers, "To be honest I'm not. War isn't something that interests me." He let out a hum, "Odd thing for a demon to not be interested in." You shrugged, "I'm more of a negotiator. Conflict has never been my thing." Crowley nodded, "That makes sense." You looked over at him, "What about you? Looking forward to the end of everything?"
"Not particularly no."
It was your turn to raise your eyebrows but before you could question him any longer, the elevator let out a quiet *ding* signaling you had reached your final destination. Beyond the doors was a congregation of demons with Beelzebub sitting on a 'throne' of sorts in the middle of the room, with Hastor and Ligur standing alongside them. "Hello Crowley." Beelzebub dipped their head in greeting. "Hello Beelzebub, Hastor, Ligur." Crowley pointed to the other two who said their own greetings back.
"Y/n." Beelzebub looked at you with the same turmoil in their eyes. "Bee." The wooden throne creaked as Beelzebub gripped the arms, "Thank you for bringing Crowley here. You are dismissed." You shrugged your shoulders, "I think I'll stick around to listen to your Great Plan." Beelzebubs look turned into a glare, "Our deal is done. Leave." The edge of your lips quirked up, "Its in the contract that you can't ask anything of me...my prince." You winked at Beelzebub. You watched as they closed their eyes and took a deep breath. "Let's discuss why we needed you here Crowley." They turned their attention to the red head. "Our Lord has deemed it time for Armageddon. The Anti-Christ is ready to be delivered to the Chattering Order of St. Beryl and this task has been assinged to you." The snake demons shoulders deflated for a second, then he rolled them back and puffed out his chest a bit. "Alrighty. When do we do this thing?"
"Tonight."
"Right..."

GIF IS NOT MINE!
Pt.8
AN: Hey guys.....so it's been 3 years....my life has completely changed since I started this fic and I'm very sorry to have paused it for so long. But I've had the urge to get back into writing. This will be the last part of the series that follows the OG storyline. I'll be going off-script and into a new timeline written by me😈. Hope y'all are ready for a new chapter (and hopefully not too many slow updates) sorry for the extreme authors note but you deserved to know lmao.
Tumblr media
“You still okay back there?” Gojo jostled you, neither of you have spoken for quite awhile. The storm overhead was mostly gone, nothing but an overcast left to show your mood. You wordlessly nodded against his shoulder. “You wanna tell me what’s been going on?” He turned to take the path that led back to the old shrine. “I figured out how to exercise other curses.....along with myself.” The white haired man’s step faltered, “That patchwork curse, he can manipulate souls and since I can touch souls and go through memories, I thought maybe I could also manipulate souls. I was able to make contact with his soul and during our fight I could feel our energies merging so I started to use my energy to exercise him.” Gojo stayed quiet as you spoke, “He had a strong grip on me so I decided it would be best if I killed both of us. It was easy, all I had to do was turn our cursed energy into life energy and then let our souls slowly dwindle.” The older man stepped over pieces of the broken temple. “But you were unsuccessful.” You nodded against his back again.
“Yes he has much more experience with souls then I do, he was able to pull away.” You let one hand go back and rub at your sore eyes, “After the mission my body was weak, probably the weakest it’s ever been. I tried to heal myself and repair my soul at the same time.” Gojo spoke, “That doesn’t sound very smart.” You slumped against his back, “No it wasn’t. My body couldn’t take the constant rise and fall of my energy. Every piece of my soul that came back, my cursed energy doubled, and since I was using it to also heal my wounds, it would fall back down to a low level.” You looked over to the old broken temple, “I thought it would be okay since I knew I’d be here, the less energy the less I’d be detected.” Gojo slowed to a stop and turned his head back to you, “And?” You stared back at his black blindfold, “I pushed everything down, my energy came back tenfold and tore through all of the walls I put up, it made me panic and I ran into the woods outside of the event. I bumped into some low grade curses, they had me trapped and unable to move so I did the only thing I could and let my energy free again. I might’ve accidentally started a fire.” Gojo laughed and placed you on your feet, “From what I seen and heard, you’ve caused a few fires.” You looked at your hands sheepishly, “Yeah...” The sorcerer watched as your eyebrows pinched together, “But that’s not when I lost control.” Your hands shook, “My emotions....that curse said that it was there to kill you and hurt everyone else. I couldn’t stop myself from feeling scared, then I got angry, so angry.” Your voice became small and quiet, “I wanted to kill them. I was so blind with rage I almost-” Your hand smack over your mouth as a sob escaped your lips.
Gojo watched as guilt and shame over took you, your sobs echoed throughout the forest as you crumbled to the floor. It was obvious you felt bad for whatever had happened. “What did you almost do Y/n?” Your hands planted themselves on the ground as you leaned forward, tears fell from your eyes and drop to the soil, little wet patches spotted the dirt. You heaved and hiccupped, Gojo went to your side and sat down, rubbing a hand up and down your back. “I almost- I almost killed Yuji.” Your resolve had completely broken, the storm had come back loud and unforgiving, the rain fell to the Earth in fat droplets and thunder rumbled. To Gojo’s surprise there was no lightning dancing across the sky, had you exhausted yourself? He turned his eyes back to you and saw your hands covering your face as you cried, small purple tentacles played on your skin and hopped from tear drop to tear drop that rolled down your hands and arms. He looked at the hand he had on your back, the little sparks flitted about, halting themselves before getting to close to his skin. He finally understood.
“You’re scared of yourself.” His words caused you to curl further into yourself, “You didn’t kill Yuji, he’s fine.” Your head shook violently, “Gojo I almost killed him!” You finally turned to look at him, your face was wet with tears, eyes almost grey in colour and rimmed red. The blood and dirt on your face was close to being gone from your tears and constant rubbing. “But you didn’t.” Your face scrunched up and your hands lifted into the air, “Don’t you understand?! I almost killed him! I almost took his life away! Again! They were right, I’m a monster, a good for nothing curse!” Your head dropped back into your hands as you continued to ramble,  “He tackled me to the ground and I thought I was getting attacked again, I almost hit him...” You clenched your eyes shut, “His eyes, he looked at me with so much fear, he was scared of me...” The first flash of lightening darted across the sky.
“You didn’t kill him though. You were able to stop yourself.” A hand grabbed onto yours and pulled them away from your face. “And from how I saw the two of you were after the fight, I would guess he understood that you were acting on instincts.” Gojo tilted his head down to try and meet your eyes, “It’s normal to act on instincts, that’s kinda what they’re made for.” When you didn’t react to his little quip, he knew you were still shaken. “What if next time I can’t stop myself?” Your eyes fluttered up to his. “Do you want to hurt Yuji?” Your eyebrows furrowed, “No.” A smile spread on Gojo’s face, “Then you don’t have to worry about that.” He leaned back on his hands, “It’s a good thing I have my infinity on,” You looked up and realized how dry he was compared to you and the surrounding area, “Or I’d look like a wet rat like you.” You sniffled and smirked. A hand came down to your shoulder, “Don’t sell yourself short Y/n, You’re stronger than you think.” He groaned a little as he stood up.
“You may be a curse but there is a streak of humanity in you.” He bent at the waist, “How bout we train after the exchange event? Hm? Just you and me.” A small smile graced your features, “Okay...” He straightened up with a shout, “Alright!” The sun peered back down over the forest, glistening off of the rain drops. Gojo turned and started to walk away, “Come on baby curse, we still have an event to finish!” He put his arms behind his head as he walked forward, you dawdling on behind him like a baby duck. He wasn’t worried you would snap, you were too worried about keeping him and the others safe and happy. He knew why you were constantly trying to please him, you were created on the feelings of abandonment and among many other emotions but he knew you would do anything to stay with him and his students. You were loyal and you would rather die then you break it. Yes you were a ticking bomb at times but nothing like a few words helped you calm down. The bond and trust you had with Gojo and his students was incredible. Gojo knew of your attachment to the them but he’d be lying if he didn’t say he was a little attached to you too.
-----------------------------------------
“So how is it possible that you get along with a gorilla like Todo?” Nobara nibbled on her pizza. “Well the two of us got along but it was like, I mean I do remember everything but it feels like I wasn’t exactly myself at the time.” Megumi looked uninterested in Yuji’s and Nobara’s conversation, his eyes drifted over to you where you sat off to the side staring down at your lap. You haven’t said a word or moved since Gojo came in and placed you in the chair, something was obviously bothering you but Megumi wasn’t sure how to ask.
“What do you mean? Were you drinking?” The girls voice brought him back to reality.
“You seriously believe I could’ve been drinking liquor in a situation like that? That would’ve been insane.” Yuji turned his attention to Megumi, “Anyways I’m just glad your injuries weren’t too serious Fushiguro, to your health and this pizza.” Yuji took a large bite from his slice while Nobara had another small piece. The dark haired boy looked between his friends, “You guys could’ve brought me something easier to digest.”
“No complaining.” Nobara spoke with her mouth open.
“Apparently I got off easier because my cursed was all gone and Ieiri was able to fix me up as soon as the roots were removed.” Megumi saw your ears perk up at the mention of his injuries. “Oh so that’s what happened?” Yuji swallowed his food. “You should know, you fought against them too didn’t you?” The pink haired boy nodded and shrugged his shoulders. “Itadori,” Megumi turned to Yuji who paused with his mouth open midbite, “You know you’ve grown a lot stronger. Before we both said that we stood by our convictions, I still think that’s true. But then on the other hand you could we’re both wrong about all of that.” Out of the corner of his eye, Megumi saw you turn you head slightly towards him, dimly glowing grey lilac eyes watching him. “Some question don’t have any answers,” Nobara placed her face on her palm, “Don’t think so hard, you’ll go bald.” Megumi sighed, “You’re right. I know it’s just a matter of trying to accept it.” He looked down at his bedding, “But why accept something you don’t want, only weak sorcerers do that. So I’ve decided,” His dark eyes met Yuji’s brown ones, “I’ll surpass you.” Yuji let out a laugh, “You never change.” Nobara looked at the two boys annoyed, “Did I get left out of the conversation again?”
“I don’t think it makes you weak.” The trio turned to look at you, “Wouldn’t not knowing the answer make you strong? Since you are constantly looking for it, wouldn’t that make you brave? Or that one word, um...courageous?”
Nobara let out a bit of air, “Why does the curse always sound so wise.” You all laughed a little.
“There you go, that’s my brother and his friends for ya.”
You let out a yelp and fell off your chair, Todo had shown up out of nowhere at the end of Megumi’s bed. Yuji shot out of his seat and ran for the door, Todo hot on his tail. “Wait where are you going brother? Wait hold on!” The two sprinted, “Look I’m grateful for you but come on, give me a break!” Yuji jumped onto the roof.
-----------------------------------------
The sun beat down on you as you sat in the dugout. “I can tell somethings been bothering you.” You tore your eyes off of Yuji and looked at Megumi in surprise, “I mean no one was okay after that fight but it seems like there’s something else going on with you.” You glanced down at the white baseball uniform you were forced to put on, “I feel like I betrayed everyone.” Megumi tried not to let shock cover his face. “Before the exchange event I did something I never thought I could do....I almost exercised my own soul.” Megumi’s eyes widened this time, “What do you m-”
“In the moment I thought it was the best plan. Afterwards though my cursed energy was extremely low, I was barely alive. The healing process was difficult, I was using my cursed energy to heal myself and try to repair the damage I had caused to my essence. I guess the constant use of my energy to heal and for my soul to regenerate was too much for me, it was like being in a tsunami, one minute the tide was low and then the next my senses would flood and every wall I put up was being destroyed.” You took a deep breath, “The days leading up to the exchange event I buried everything down and decided I would try to deal with it later but when I was in those woods...” Your mind wandered back to when you were almost consumed by the flower curse, “I ran into some curses outside of the perimeter and I was trapped. Since I buried everything, I could feel all of it pushing against the blockades, it was like I was the storm this time.” Megumi watched you pick at the fabric of your shorts, “I lost control...” Your fingers gripped the white fabric, “Then I lost it again when I was fighting that curse. I was so angry, so filled with hate, all I felt was kill. Kill, kill ,kill, there wasn’t another thought in my mind. They wanted to hurt you, Gojo, everyone and I couldn’t let that happen.” The dark haired sorcerer stared at you for awhile then ruffled your hair, “You’re okay now, we all are. You were able to pull yourself back and that’s what matters.” You swatted his hand away which made him chuckle. He and Gojo had said the same thing, you were able to snap out of it and that makes you strong. Even with their encouraging words there’s still a looming fear that sits at the back of your mind. What if you can’t stop yourself next time? You never want someone to look at you in fear, like Yuji had, ever again.
“Kugisaki snapped! It’s a free for all!” Yuji’s voice brought you out of your thoughts.
------------------------------------------
You were playing outfield, furthest away and closest to the tree line. The first few plays went well but then there was another home run. Hit straight into the forest behind you, of course you wanted to win so you ran as fast as you could into the woodland. You could just see the ball soaring through the sky, smacking into leaves so hard they detached from the branches and fell to the ground. Your neck strained as you stared up at the flying sphere, you were right underneath it but then your sight was filled with brown then green then blackness. Your foot throbbed just a tiny bit, lifting your head up from the ground you noticed a tree root had tripped you up. Letting out a groan you pushed yourself up, "Stupid tree." Standing you looked around the forest for the ball. There was no sight of the white sphere.
"I lost it..." Pouting, you continued to walk around the trees in search for the baseball. In the distance you could hear leaves rustling, thinking it was someone on your team you called out, "Hey! Did you find it?" Running towards the noise, you pushed some branches out of the way and ended up in a small clearing. The sun peaked through the treetops and shined down on a large mass hunched over. It had large shoulders, the flesh stretched over muscle, the bones of its spine poked out from under it's skin, it's thighs were as large as you were, maybe even bigger, covering it was tattered pieces of a dirtied pink fabric. From where you were standing you couldn't see it's face, it's hunched over form obscured whatever you might've seen of the front of its body.
At the sound to your voice, the creatures head shot up. Long dark brown hair flinging around wildly before settling on the creatures big shoulders. It didn't turn towards you, just sat on its haunches, back stiff straight. A small voice came from the creatures direction, "What's wrong Mama?" A little pale blue boyish face peeked around the creatures large knee. Big round eyes gawked at the sight of you, and just when you made eye contact, the little boy disappeared behind the creature again. "Mama someone's here." The young voice wavered a bit. The long brown hair shifted forward and fell down as the creature looked down at the small boy then the creature let out a chuff and whined. Clenching your hands tight in nervousness, you spoke, "I'm sorry for scaring you, I promise I'm not here to hurt you. I've lost a ball and I need to find it." The large creature flinched at the sound of your voice and curled it's massive arms around, what you could only assume, the little boy in front of it. Despite the grip on the boy, he managed to wriggle to his way above the large forearms and looked at you again. "This ball?" He raised his small hand and in it sat your baseball. You nodded, "Yeah that one! You found it! Could I have it back?" The large round eyes filled with tears, "But I don't wanna give it back." The boy started to cry causing the creature to swaddle him and, for the first time, you saw the creatures face as it threw a glare over it's shoulder at you. She had a light brown eyes, a large brow bone which was furrowed as she glared at you, a button shaped nose, and a pair of pink lips which were set in a deep frown.
You swallowed, "Oh, um....I'm sorry but I need the ball to play my game" The little boys blue image fazed out and reappeared out of the large creatures arms a couple feet away from both of you. The small boy had a giant smile on his face as he let out a laugh and waved the ball in the air, "If you want it, then you're gonna have to catch me!" And with that he turned and sprinted in the direction you came from. You threw a quick glance towards the creature and she stared dumbstruck just like you did, both of you in disbelief over the child's rebellion. You looked back to where the boy once stood and made the realization, "he's running towards everyone..." The creature next to you whipped her head and stared at you wide eyed, she knew what you meant, the boy was running to the field, with all of the humans. In a second she was gone, her large form lumbering through the trees and shaking the ground as she went. You didn't wait too long after before you also took off to catch the boy.
"Wait! Please! They'll see you!" You yelled ahead hoping the creature and the little boy would stop, but neither of them did. If anything, the little boy ran faster. The creature let out a loud vocalization, something between a yell and a grunt, you assumed it was her way to communicate with the boy that he should listen and stop running. "It's dangerous! Please I just want the ball back!"
"No! Your stupid ball is mine!" A childish giggle sung out into the woods.
You groaned and doubled down on your speed. Your body ached a bit from the excessive use it had already been put through, but you knew if this boy or his 'Mama' were seen by any of the sorcerers, they'd be eradicated.
You could see the edge of the treeline coming up quickly, the creature in front of you must've seen it too cause she pushes off her haunches and leeped forward, grabbing the small boy and skidding to a halt. You caught up to them, you and 'Mama' huffing. "Please, please can I have the ball back?" The little boy wriggled and started whining, "No! Mama let me go! I wanna go!" His little feet dangled in the air as the creature held him above the ground. "Its dangerous out here, there's people who'll make you go away, forever. It's not safe to run around in these woods." You tried to reason with the little boy but was not having it. "You're lying! You're just saying that so I give you the ball back!" Once again his corporeal image fazed out of the space, the creature let out a loud yell as she turned 360 for her little blue boy.
"NA NA NA NA YOU CANT CATCH ME!"
Off in the distance, out in the baseball field, stood the child spirit. The cursed creature put a fist into the ground to push herself forward but you were faster.
"There you are Y/n!" Yuji's voice rang out as you broke out the treeline and ran straight towards the boy. Everyone stared as your knees hit the ground and curled your arms around an invisible body. You ignored everyone as you could feel the ground shaking from thundering steps. You let out the tiniest bit of energy to tether the little boy to you.
A loud yell is heard behind you, so close your hair flies about from the air expelled. Mama was not happy. "I've got him! I've got him, look, look" You turn and show the cursed creature the little boy in your hold.
"Y/N!" Multiple foot falls start approaching you. Whipping your head around you see Yuji rushing over to you. "No! Stay back, everything's okay!" The creature raised a fist and slammed it into the ground next to you, the little boy curled further into your arms and started to wail, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I just wanted to have fun....I never get to play with anybody!" His little body shook with the tears and 'Mama' only got more angry. Her large fist was raised and ready to strike you, seeing as now you have officially become a threat. But before she's able to strike, Yuji is able to slide between the two of you and punch her. "Yuji don't!" You gasped as the creature stumbled backwards. Yuji advanced, "Don't attack her!" Your arms tightened around the little boy as his cries only grew louder.
"MAMA NO! MAMAAAA!"
You unwrapped one arm from the boy and shot a purple bolt out, aimed at Yuji.

Shout out to all the Black ppl that can no longer participate directly in the fandom they love because of the stresses of racism 👍🏾 you contain multitudes of value and I'm sorry that the color of your skin and the power of your voice makes people not want to acknowledge that.
