Hockey has always been my safe space, a place where I can truly be myself. After coming out as transgender, I never felt like I would be looked at differently or not have a proper place in the league. This is a huge credit to You Can Play.

In hockey and in sports I am not defined by my sexual orientation or gender identity, I am defined by my ability to play the game I love and what kind of teammate I am!

I am so happy that I have the opportunity to be myself while being a professional athlete. That’s why I wear pride tape on my stick for every game, to show that I stand with the LGBTQ community. Please stand along with me as the Riveters host the Connecticut Whale for our You Can Play game tomorrow 3PM at the Barnabas Hockey House.

kent parson has a reputation of being almost like a vegas cryptid. people will talk about the time kent parson thought they looked sad and let them vent to him for an hour or that time they saw kent parson give his flannel and sunglasses to a stray cat. theres also people swearing that kent parson challenged them to a burger eating contest. one person said he asked if they liked ducks and when they said yes he said “hold this for me” then gave them a duckling and walked away. he came back after five minutes, said thanks, then retrieved the duckling and left without explanation.
