2024: Movies Seen
MOVIES I WOULD OWN IF I STILL BOUGHT MOVIES Abigail - Insanely fun! I wish they made more movies like this. Argylle - Super fun! I don’t care what anyone says. Deadpool And Wolverine - Extremely entertaining and exactly what I wanted it to be. I Saw The TV Glow - Had to watch twice to fully appreciate. Ended up loving it. Late Night With The Devil - Some stuff I shook my head at, but a lot of stuff I loved. The Substance - Excellent filmmaking. Kept me engaged the entire time. Exactly what I wanted it to be. Wicked - Gorgeous! Excellently cast and performed.
MOVIES I REALLY ENJOYED BUT WOULD PROBABLY NEVER WATCH AGAIN Didi - Great coming of age story. Very real and human. Hit Man - Was mid for a good chunk then BLEW ME AWAY!
MOVIES I LIKED Babes - Very funny. Great cast and acting. Damsel - Surprised how much I liked it. Madame Web - Went in with no expectations and actually liked it. Mean Girls - Great cast, solid adaptation. Oddity - Quiet, slower paced horror film that actually keeps your attention till the end. I screamed twice! Smile 2 - Not a super fan of this genre of horror, but REALLY well made and performed. The Fall Guy - Charming movie. Thelma - Very cute. Thought it would be more stylized and camp, but good for what it was. Lisa Frankenstein - Underrated. Sure to be a cult classic.
DIRECT TO VIDEO MOVIES I ENJOYED WHILE HIGH Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead - Not bad, but didn’t add much to the original. The Underdoggs - Fun movie to turn your brain off and watch.
OKAY MOVIES THAT DIDN’T REACH THEIR POTENTIAL In A Violent Nature - Had a LOT of promise, but kinda fizzles out in the end. Maxxxine - A very okay movie. Needlessly complicated. Ultimately nothing to write home about. Terrifier 3 - LOVE Art The Clown. Some fun kills, but not much else. The Wild Robot - Visually gorgeous, but not much else. Very low stakes and not the “wild” adventure I was looking for.
MOVIES I WAS TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED BY Joker Folie A Deux - Waste of talent. Who’s this movie even for? Longlegs - Stupid. Very stupid. Totally overrated and oversold. Tarot - Potential to be 13 Ghosts meets Final Destination fully wasted. Not the worst, but very meh.
CRAP Beetlejuice Beetlejuice - Stupid. A mish mosh of nostalgia berries, new pointless characters and easily neutralized threats. Drive Away Dolls - Terrible characters, terrible story, terrible editing. Just bad all around.

Interesting take on a comic book movie, very underrated) Hamilton - A (Was blown away, but it was the pandemic so…) Palm Springs - A- (Fun concept, well executed) I’m Thinking Of Ending Things - B+ (A movie I would have loved more in my 20s) Onward - B- (Fun!)
