I don’t want to be rich, I just want to be comfy.

Want to have one really nice set of plates and silverware for company and Thanksgiving.

Want to be able to buy a new outfit and a good bra at least a couple times a year.

Want to be able to give “just because” gifts.

Want to burn incense and candles in my home daily, and have nice soaps.

Want to be able to donate to charity frequently and without worry.

Want to buy hardcover books to read and put on a shelf for my kids to read someday.

Want to have candies in bowls for people who visit.

Want to be able to take my young siblings and cousins to a movie and let them get the big popcorn they won’t finish, because there’s magic in just having it.

Want to have a linen closet or at least a linen shelf.

Want to go see live local theater several times a year.

Want to have a bottle of wine or champagne in the house for when I suddenly need to celebrate.

Want to have a kitchen with basic baking supplies so I can bake bread on the weekend, and pies for special occasions.

I just want to be comfy.

Iris is extremely compassionate and I love that about her. But, I will say that it borderlines being a pushover. As an example, this season Iris had multiple people raise their voices at her. Cisco (4x01), Harry (4x09), Ralph (4x16), Barry (4x19), and Caitlin (4x21). No one defends her and she doesn't defend herself. Granted she did raise her at Barry in 4x02 and I don't recall her apologizing to Barry. And I'm sorry, but Comic!Iris would never allow that.

Iris isn’t a pushover for not raising her voice at people when they yell at her. Part of being a good leader is being level headed, staying calm, and not escalating an argument by yelling back. 

Iris does defend herself, she just isn’s petty about it. Instead of yelling back, she just works harder and proves them wrong. She proved Harry wrong by showing she could make hard choices in 4x09. She proved Ralph wrong by risking her life in the field in 4x16.

Cisco, Caitlin, and Barry’s anger at Iris was all misdirected. They were going through trying situations. Iris recognized that and let them sound off emotionally without holding it against them. Again, part of being a good leader. She didn’t take it personally because she knows that they were just trying to cope. It was mature and compassionate.

All of the instances you named show her as a competent leader and caring wife/friend rather than a pushover.

Damn, I love the Harrisco fandom so much! I never felt more welcome in any other fandom and it made me ship those two dorks harder then any other ship!
