What are your fav Jiara lines, not for the line itself, but because of the delivery of the line? It could be the most throwaway and generic line but stands out because of delivery and performance.

Oooh I love this question!!! Prepare for the most random lines ever just because they tickle my brain in the perfect way. Although one thing I’m realizing while making this list is I lean more into Madison’s actual delivery of lines and Rudy’s body language and reaction to her in between as things that make me scream, which makes a lot of sense considering both characters. So if I include more Madison just know that Rudy puts me ten feet under in a different way.

“What about you, Kie?” From s1 (listen it’s all about the way he seemed so interested in what she had to say but wanted to make it casual)

Madison’s delivery of the sassy best friend banter hits just the right spot every time. Obsessed in particular with her delivery of “and you called me a kook. Which was lame.” OBSESSED. I also like all of her little quick comments when JJ is going on about something stupid but I won’t name them all because that would take forever.

I think we all know “hi” “sup” is iconic because of the delivery. PERFECTION.

“Hey. You alright?” from 2x03 NSMSMSJSJDHSJS this is so basic but so sweet how fully he’s paying attention to her don’t talk to me

Everything in the surf trip scene was perfection on both ends but the fondness in the random line “you don’t have a passport” GOODBYE

“Just like we talked about.” The way you can tell she knows it’s a little risky to bring up but takes the plunge anyway! Perfect

Everything Rudy did in the spear fishing scene. EVERYTHING. His little “alright” when JJ got a little flustered by her checking him out especially.

The way she whispers “JJ” before the 3x02 hug sjsjsmsmsmw. In fact the way they say each other’s names always makes me giggle and kick my feet but maybe that’s a me issue!

Her breathless “yeah” when he asks if she’s ready on the bike GOODBYE

“I’m just looking for someone- I’m looking for-“ “Me?” “Kie” sending them both flowers for this delivery actually

Obviously I love the delivery on all the more well known lines too (the I love you’s for one) but I don’t feel like that’s what this ask was getting at!

The beautiful thing about JJs apology to Kie at Kitty Hawk is that Kie knows JJ didn’t do all those things to hurt her (you’re a kook, the money clip, the anniversary party fight, etc). She knows him so well that she can see he’s doing that to hurt himself, feeling like he’s not worthy and is meant to screw up anyway. He’s not doing these things out of malicious intent to hurt Kiara directly. Which is why her reaction when he apologizes is so perfect. She nods knowingly and just tells him that she loves him. She was waiting for him to realize that he should not sabotage himself/their relationship and that he can have this. If Kie is what he wants then he needs to accept that want and allow himself to go after it. That “I’m sorry Kie” holds SO much weight and beautifully wraps up their storyline for the whole season. Again, this isn’t a “you owe me an apology, I’m so mad at you” situation. This is a “let yourself feel and have this, give us a chance, I know you care for me and love me, just realize this behavior isn’t working” situation. She was patiently waiting for him to deal with himself before progressing their relationship any further. Anyone with eyes can see he cares about her. That’s not what’s up for debate here. Its his internal struggles. And the way he just HAS to tell her he’s sorry immediately. He can’t even wait until they escape the camp. This is a huge step for JJ and it’s like a light switch when he realizes he’s been acting up, and she gets taken away and he can’t waste another second. That whole moment between them means so much!

This is beautiful, thank you for blessing us with this today 😭 I think you also see this with how she's looking at him when he's trying to apologise in 3x08. It's not really about the actual words but more about what him making the effort to say them means. As soon as she can see him trying, her walls are down.

Her mouth twists into a mischievous smile before she grabs him by the collar and pulls him down to her, crushing his lips against hers.

He melts into her, swiping Scarlett’s hand away from his chest and winding his arms all the way around Kie. He even goes so far as to lift her off her feet, spinning her around in a circle.
