Canon 700D or 100D?
Help please. I can't decide which one to buy and I've got zero idea which one works better. I like 100d since it's small and lightweight but then 700d has a slight advantage with battery life and turnable screen. I only worry that it's too heavy to carry somewhere.

If I Stay (2014)
8/10
Life changes in an instant for young Mia Hall after a car accident puts her in a coma. During an out-of-body experience, she must decide whether to wake up and live a life far different than she had imagined.
This was one of the most anticipated movies this year, no doubt about that. Almost everyone I knew wanted to see this movie. But I wasn't one of those. I was the "oh let me just wait until it's ready to download". And yes, I've just watched this.
I didn't expected anything since I haven't read the novel. But it was all good. Mia is a mushroom that grew in grass, coming from rock and roll family. Then there she was, a classical junkie. But her family relationship doesn't affect that and that was what I came to love about her family. Everything about them was to love.
Adam and Mia was truly a match. At least they had something in common---music. Even though their musical differences made it hard; Adam in a rock band and Mia pursuing her Julliard dreams, I admire that they still worked it out. (And I thought Adam would be cheating when they fought)
Overall, it was great and melancholic at the same time. Adam's band songs are my kind of genres. I actually downloaded it's soundtracks because it was so good. The ending? Cliffhanger. Since it has a sequel.

Always You: Kirsty Moseley {Book Review}
Tumblr media
4/5
Riley Tanner has a best friend, the best friend a girl could ask for. He’s supportive, loyal, honest, trustworthy, kind, and thoughtful. He’s also the biggest player in school. Their relationship has always been easy and affectionate, but after Riley’s month long vacation, things become a little strange. She starts to look at him in ways that go way beyond the ‘friend zone’. Add in her best friend’s rival, and things become a whole lot more complicated.
Kirsty Moseley is one of my favorite author, given the fact that I had read almost half of her novels. Always You is definitely my cup of tea. And actually, I have read this book a few years ago and came to give it a try again. (and my judgment against this book changed but nonetheless, I still love it)
Riley Thomas transfers in a public school and reunites with her childhood best friend, Clay Preston. She didn't had a hard time fitting in since Clay is one of the popular guys and plays quarterback. They typically aren't the type of an average girl-boy best friend relationship. They sleep together almost naked. They mark each other, in short gives each other hickeys. And other things that you might find gross if you have a guy best friend.
I, very much, envied their friendship--except those sleeping together part. It gave me those fuzzy sense when Clay got all protective of Riley. He was too much to ask for a guy friend. It feels like the book is friendship gone wrong. The first half of the book, I'd be like "Please get together. You're perfect for each other. Please!!!" And I got what I asked for. Clay got out of the friendzone. Praise you brotha! Not many survives that death defying challenge. Anyway, Clay confessed his feelings to Riley which turns out that she feels the same way too. Major shocker eh? Then they got all clingy with each other, kissing here and there. Good thing there was a great distraction to that (not gonna tell you).
It was a great read. Maybe I got attached to their friendship that I realized I didn't want them together. There's a continued story of this but not really a sequel. I think it's more much entertaining than this since it covers thrill.

Track Review
But you'll come back each time you leave
'Cause darling I'm a nightmare, dressed like a daydream
This song is such a fan-favorite! I, myself, too couldn't agree more. It is an upbeat track where you can literally sing in the shower (where I always do). I still haven't find a perfect time to listen to her other songs since I'm cherishing every lyrics until I'd get sick of listening to it then jump to another track.
As fun as the lyrics are, I've read that this song is addressed to the media who follows her every move and writes things are aren't very pleasing. She wrote the things the media thinks of her. In short, suck t up.
Over all, this is such an amazing song despite the inspiration behind it. Who else could turn an adversity into something where the whole world can sing along to?

The Wrong Path: Vivian Marie Aubin Paris {Book Review}
Tumblr media
3/5
They were the ones everyone wanted to be. Except on the inside. Annabelle's life was finally going according to plan. She had the right group of friends. Her childhood crush had finally started to notice her. She was pretty, popular, and in love. And then one terrible night at a party Will enters her life and everything changes. Will is the polar opposite of his older brother Trevor—Annabelle’s new boyfriend—the popular, straight-A, quarterback high school star. He's wild, charismatic, and full of secrets. He's completely different from anyone Annabelle has ever known, and soon their accidental run-in becomes a pattern as Annabelle finds herself seeking him out wherever she goes. Despite his open hostility with his older brother, Annabelle is drawn to him, wanting to be with him. Will opens a new world for Annabelle, one where she can shed her carefully constructed mask and be herself. But being with Will comes at a price. And when tragedy strikes, she has to make a choice between the two brothers. And the wrong one means losing everything forever.
This is a total light read and kind of reminds me so much of Mean Girls. Annabelle is the Cady Herons here. A transferee and gets along with The Plastics. She thinks they're her real friends, protecting and doing all these girl stuffs together. And the truth is, they're a fraud. It's like worshiping you when you're with them then the next thing you know, they're calling out names. Hence the title, the wrong path.
Annabelle has crush on Trevor since childhood. The perks of being in a popular clique, she started dating him. That makes her get a grip on herself and her fear of being left alone which is a pain since she's with them almost everyday.
Then there's Will. Her knight and shining armor. You can picture him in school with his group of friends at the backdoor. He has this bad guy image but it vanishes once he's with Annabelle. Their sweet moments together are just so 'awww. He brings out the best in her. I did judge him, thinking he'd be more like a runaway when things gets worst. But he's just the strongest. I actually had a nickname for him. Sassy Will.
The difficult thing is that Annabelle had to choose between Trevor and Will. The twist is that they're siblings. How can you choose if they're siblings??? And they're both attractive at the same time.
I expected this to be a love story but it cycled around Annabelle's self discovery struggling between keeping her stance in the "in" crowd or taking off her mask and finally be herself.

On The Fence: Kasie West {Book Review}
Tumblr media
2.5/5
For sixteen-year-old Charlotte Reynolds, aka Charlie, being raised by a single dad and three older brothers has its perks. She can outrun, outscore, and outwit every boy she knows—including her longtime neighbor and honorary fourth brother, Braden. But when it comes to being a girl, Charlie doesn't know the first thing about anything. So when she starts working at chichi boutique to pay off a speeding ticket, she finds herself in a strange new world of makeup, lacy skirts, and BeDazzlers. Even stranger, she's spending time with a boy who has never seen her tear it up in a pickup game. To cope with the stress of faking her way through this new reality, Charlie seeks late-night refuge in her backyard, talking out her problems with Braden by the fence that separates them. But their Fence Chats can't solve Charlie's biggest problem: she's falling for Braden. Hard. She knows what it means to go for the win, but if spilling her secret means losing him for good, the stakes just got too high.
I really had a rough time rating this one. I was in between 2 or 3. And I gave it a 2.5 just to be fair. I hope I'd give justice to my rating and to conceit that it's my first book I've rated lower than a three.
It's my second Kasie West book, aside from The Distance of Us. On The Fence had my attention through scrolling in goodreads and had some researches if it really was a worth-read book. I guess its charms didn't work on me. Just so everyone knows, I'm a deep sucker for brother/s best friend type of thing. Oh you know who to call and recommend those types of books -call me-. This has got to be my least favorite.
The cover might be engaging as well but the great irony of it where the heroine is a self-proclaimed tomboy. Eek.
I was that close to stop reading the book because in the first 25 chapters were kinda empty for me. It was slow-paced to fast-paced. And to think that it had 35 chapters.I was like just walking with nowhere to go. It was wrapped up like that with no extra sprinkles and butterflies at the ending. Every single chapter I was looking for that Charlie-Braden sweet moments. But it only gave me a sister-brother relationship. I think I've been cheated (or I wasn't informed). Sure the story line was cliche, but I've read a couple books of this genre and I can notice their differences. And there was nothing special to this except their fence time.
I think their romance to me, basically poof there it was. It was there but I wasn't buying it. There was a line where Charlie told the news about her 3 brothers and her dad about their romance. "I love him." That was it? No explanations needed? Ugh. Then it was happily ever after.
Charlie, I like you but please please stop ranting about this feminism thing. She had this stereotype mind that all girls were like this and that. Blah. I had a love-hate relationship her. ~the truth will set you free~ I'm wishing for an older brother and she has three! Oh c'mon. Your life is so close to perfection.
I guess the only thing that made me finish reading this was her three brothers--Gage, Jerom and Nathan.

Allegiant: Veronica Roth {Book Review}
Tumblr media
5/5
The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.  But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.
First things first. This book messed with my emotions and my feelings were all over the place.
I couldn't quite remember well the story line of what happened in the first two books since I read it like a year ago. I had a hard time picking up the pieces of who the characters were except for Tris and Four. But I went on with reading because I was itching to know what happens outside the fence, who Edith Prior is and whatsoever. Due to the spoilers my good friends keep on bothering me, I finally found a perfect time.
The book took me days to finish. But was worth the time. I don't want to offer spoilers because it can be heartbreaking, I warn you. It kept me awake throughout and got me questioning everything. Like who is telling the truth and who is to trust. Also, in my surprise, it was a dual POV. Both Tris and Four. I've got to learn who Four really is. His fears and inner thoughts.
Throughout reading, I can finally sense Tris' dauntless genes. How she fights for what is right. I couldn't quite see her inner bravery in the last two books (and I do not know why). Now she proves that is she brave and I buy it.
There were a lot (I mean, a lot!) of unexpected happenings, truth and decisions. And you'll witness a part where Four made the stupidest decision ever. But not that I blame him. I kinda loathe for a minute or so.
Tris and Four moments are oh so "awwwww". I can't find a right word to describe it. They aren't the typical OTP's I ship. Waaaaay more different but I can feel their flaming hearts beating. I find it sweet that they can still manage to look out for each other after all the things they've been experiencing. They've been in each other's worst time.
Now for the ending. I still am speechless. I want to tell who dies at the end but still denying that it may be a jest. Who am I kidding? My heart feels empty until now. But props to the author who wrote such an amazing book to begin with. I wonder what ran through her when she decided to wrote that ending? Made me dumbfounded. It's kind of absurd to think I'm mourning for a fictional character.
For me, this is more than just factions and genetic damages. It doesn't define anyone. It is about self-trust and braveness. Be brave.

THE BOOK THIEF (2013)
10/10
While subjected to the horrors of World War II Germany, young Liesel finds solace by stealing books and sharing them with others. In the basement of her home, a Jewish refugee is being sheltered by her adoptive parents.
I literally had no expectations running through me when I've decided to give this movie a try. Judging by the movie title, I thought I'd be seeing a girl just stealing books since it's prohibited during Hitler's time. But man, how wrong can I be? Everything I've watch, pierce through my soul especially the main character, Liesel Meminger. I admire her bravery and curiosity. She has been through many rough times at a young age. And she has lost people who makes her brave enough.
Her relationship with her new family is strange at first. She was unfamiliar with everything around her. But her 'papa' and Liesel had this instant connection when he called her your majesty. And that begins their magical bonding. And her 'mama', depicts a typical non-related mother who is bad-tempered but eventually has a kind-heart.
Then there's Rudy, the golden haired boy. Liesel's love interest. He is quite a charm in this movie. I just love this boy, okay? No questions. He knows Liesel well and the need of a true friend. And another Liesel's true friend is Max, who is a Jew and shelters in their basement. His influence with her probably change Liesel's whole personality. He helped her grow into something. Something incredible.
I did cry at the ending. It feels like I got attached to the movie and the characters. It was truly heartbreaking. "No!" "Why?!" "Poor Liesel" were some of the words I've been yelling while watching it end. But of course, it ended happily. The ending was too much to handle. The movie is narrated by Death.

THE BREAKFAST CLUB (1985)
7/10
Five high school students, all different stereotypes, meet in detention, where they pour their hearts out to each other, and discover how they have a lot more in common than they thought.
Feels like I'm kinda missing out without watching this classic film starring my favorite 80's actress, Molly Ringwald. It has this typical storyline where these five different types of teenagers spend their Saturday in detention. They are all strangers to each other and they have 8 hours to figure things out. Coming from different cliques in school; where there's a brainiac Bryan, an athlete jock Andrew, a popular princess Claire, an outcast basket case Allison and the criminal rebel Bender.
They struggle to get friendly at first. Of course, how would you get friends with someone who you aren't familiar with. And to know how jerk can Bender be. I was very much irritated with him. Like, how much annoying can he be. And obviously he likes Claire as much as he nags her. But I was rooting for Andrew and Claire *sighs*. I get it, too cliche. A jock and a princess.
Bender - It's like every single time he speaks, he gets on my nerves. Dude, what is wrong with you. Can't you get a little nicer? But I guess he'll talk back to me and reply, "No, fuck you!".
Bryan - I wasn't expecting the scene where he gets high. Now I get to say stupid. I kid. He is pretty much decent and kindhearted. I like the fact that he agreed to write back to the asst. principal who asks them to write who they think they are.
Claire - Cool talent though. Sticking her lipstick between her chest. I just adore her, okay. 'Nuff said.
Allison - She's a bizarre type of outcast. First, I really thought she's mute. Second, she's a great artist but filthy one. Third, she's pretty. Props to Claire for giving her a simple makeover.
Andrew - I thought this guy was hot as hell until he gets high and takes off his jackets. Not incredibly flattering to the eyes. Ha. But anyway, thanks for standing up to Claire then falling in love with Allison. Bleh, thought you were my otp.
It's so odd that detention is all it takes for them to bond together from different groups in the school society. From their asst. principal's perspective, they are all a bunch of stereotypes students. But the truth is, they're not. The labels don't define nor limit anything. Just because they're physically unique from each other doesn't necessarily mean it does. They've figured out that they have more things in common. The pressure, the complications, and the experiences. It is a good movie but may be tedious for some.

Stepbrother Dearest: Penelope Ward {Book Review}
Tumblr media
3.5/5
You’re not supposed to want the one who torments you.  When my stepbrother, Elec, came to live with us my senior year, I wasn’t prepared for how much of a jerk he’d be.  I hated that he took it out on me because he didn’t want to be here.  I hated that he brought girls from our high school back to his room.  But what I hated the most was the unwanted way my body reacted to him.  At first, I thought all he had going for him were his rock-hard tattooed abs and chiseled face. Then, things started changing between us, and it all came to a head one night.  Just as quickly as he’d come into my life, he was gone back to California.  It had been years since I’d seen Elec.  When tragedy struck our family, I’d have to face him again.  And holy hell, the teenager who made me crazy was now a man that drove me insane. I had a feeling my heart was about to get broken again.
Judging by it's title, it's totally taboo. Promising that I wouldn't read any books 'incest' or anything family related romance after I've read Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma. Promises are made to be broken anyways, I gave this a shot. I was drawn to the summary where Greta was being tormented by his stepbrother Elec, after her stepfather decided to bring him to Boston.
The book is divided into two parts; part one when they were still teenagers then part two where it was fast forwarded to seven years. The first few chapters were appealing to me considering that Elec was a jerk to start off with. He made misery to Greta's life, but then keeps Greta falling for him. He was living a complicated life, having a faulty relationship with his father. And that was the reason for his bad guy image with all those tattoos and piercings. But that made him sexy and hot, I must say. Despite that bad guy image, I think that was just a facade for all the rough times he had.
Elec has this things for writing and anagram. Plus points for that because that made my eyes wide open considering that fact that I was close to falling asleep. An example of it was, meal=lame. Greta on the other hand, dead
Now, for the part two where I began to second guess if I'd rate this a five. Years had past, they both have gone separate ways. I thought that would be the ending since there are only few more pages left to finish. They reunited once again when a tragedy occur. Going back, Greta was still hopeful for him. Heartache welcomed her, when she saw Elec once again, now with his girlfriend Chelsea. I felt bad for Chelsea the entire time I was reading this. Dirty, dirty cheaters.
It lack Elec's proof that he really loves Greta. It doesn't mean that once you both made love and felt each other intensity, proves anything. Right? It was like Greta was chasing him the whole time. Bleh. The climax was great and totally surprising. Guess you'll have to read, to know. Of course, it was a happy ending. They found their ways back to each other's arm.

Track Review
"It's just you and I, tonight
Why don't you figure my heart out?"
The track is included in The 1975's self titled album. I agree that every song I've listened to, portrays different genres and music influences. And here I am still struggling to conclude the metaphors behind Heart Out and their other tracks. Shamefully, I've made up my own conclusion and imaginary scene behind Heart Out. Here it goes.....
There's a simple and timid guy who's out partying with his group of friends and spotted this girl (who's basically a crowd favorite) and got to spend some time with her. He obviously like her, but she doesn't acknowledges it. Then they're both at the couch, with their thoughts probably eating them alive which makes it awkward. Do I even make sense??? Anyway, that's just my thought.
The music video almost tricked me when I thought it was really them playing. When clearly, they weren't. It took me weeks to figure that out. And also, that it was Matty's brother, Louis who acted. Overall, this has got to be my second favorite video after Robbers (aaaaah, love this one). Honestly, I always sing this song in the shower. Ha!
Few more days 'till Medicine! Guess who's excited?!?!

Charade: Nyrae Dawn {Book Review}
Tumblr media
Rating: 4/5
"Nineteen-year-old Cheyenne tries to portray the perfect life to mask the memories of her past. Walking in on her boyfriend with another woman her freshman year in college threatens that picture of perfection.
Twenty-one-year-old Colt never wanted college and never expected to amount to anything, but when his mom's dying wish is for him to get his degree, he has no choice but to pretend it's what he wants too.  Cheyenne needs a fake boyfriend to get back at her ex and Colt needs cash to take care of his mom, so they strike a deal that helps them both. But what if Cheyenne’s past isn’t what she thought? Soon they’re trading one charade for another—losing themselves in each other to forget about their pain. The more they play their game, the more it becomes the only thing they have that feels real. Both Cheyenne and Colt know life is never easy, but neither of them expect the tragedy that threatens to end their charade and rip them apart forever."
Opinion;
One thing that caught my attention through scrolling in Goodreads and made me read this book is that the heroine's name is almost the same as my best friend. And to do this review, I wasn't bias. Honestly, the cover was not that engaging. But hey! "Don't judge a book by it's cover." they say. I did.
Cheyenne isn't the type I was expecting in her. I thought she was this pathetic and reserved girl affected by her horrid past and knowing that her stupid boyfriend cheated on her. Damn! The girl had ultra guts to asked some handsome, blonde, tattooed guy named Colton to be her pretend boyfriend to piss her ex. Which I think worked. Both Cheyenne and Colton had an agreement that slowly led them to romance even though they tried to denied it. Also, they had something in common which was their moms, that made a connection.
In my own i m a g i n a t i o n of Colton, he isn't that attractive but at-least has this well-built body. And I adore guys with tattoos. He's not that tall but has this gorgeous eyes. I don't know what's wrong with my brain that won't picture him that striking.
I managed to smile at 1:00 a.m. reading this when I knew Colton did things to Cheyenne without even realizing it. Plus they were very sneaky having him at her dorm, using the back door. And the word, "fuck" comes handy in Colton's daily dictionary. Haha. The ending was great and touching, something that both if their moms would be proud of.
