Independent JQ Today is a photographic exhibition I was commissioned to deliver for @thehivejq to capture the thriving creative businesses of the Jewellery Quarter. This project is an array of practitioners including graphic designers, wood makers, stationery designers, florists, jewellery makers and stitch designers. . The Quarterworkshop @thequarterworkshop After graduating from the Royal Collect of Art in Goldsmithing and Metalwork and Jewellery Design, Victoria moved to the Jewellery Quarter in 2012 to open her studio The Quarterworkshop. Combining designing for brands, creating her own work in precious metals and teaching she opened her studio to others and quickly discovered a love for sharing the craft of jewellery and silversmithing and giving people the opportunity to experience jewellery making for themselves. Housed within a beautiful historic building, The Quarterworkshop is now firmly established as a creative space you can escape to and make something special. Like two ribbons twisting and dancing around each other a pair of beautiful, sculptural and totally unique rings made by Anthony & Guan. Before this workshop we played around with materials and made lots of test pieces perfecting the technique to show to the couple and then let them experiment and develop their own designs on the day.
