The Fly With You zine is now available for orders (not preorders!), and I’m proud to say I wrote Lyria’s story!

As someone who’s a part of this project and has seen its progression from the beginning, I can tell you that this zine is full of truly incredible works of art made by even more incredible creators! So much care and love went into this zine, and I would highly recommend buying it!

Happy fifth arrival day, Ginger!

Here’s a “draw the squad”; of the scribe talents done by piiranin (now @pescii) that I couldn’t resist.

So I’m just going to temporarily ignore the kinda sad history of this day and it’s important connection to this blog and post this instead.

Aarrgh!

Rosa examines the leaf letter a bit closer. “You know, they technically didn’t ask that.”

Eve looked back at Rosa, pulled from her thoughts. “What?”

“They asked us how we got where we are,” Rosa responds, patting Eve’s shoulder. “That question doesn’t require a major backstory there, Eve.”

“The truth is, we found out how we could leave our Pixie Hollow from Tabby, one of the fairies on the Never Council. I can’t quite remember all the details, but it required using some of the special event areas—I guess they were these areas that weren’t well-defined, and they had these twinkling lights if you found the right spot, and so Tabby found a way to use those lights to guide her to a new dimension.”

Rosa rubs the back of her neck. “I do have to admit, I wasn’t paying a lot of attention when Tabby was opening the portal. I was kinda focused on the fact that we were never coming back, so…”

Rosa shrugs.

“And then, next thing we knew, we found ourselves here. Which definitely isn’t the same Pixie Hollow Tabby liked to travel to, but it’s still great here, all the same.” Rosa looks over at Eve, who is gently smiling now. Their home is definitely great.

A bell chimes in the distance. Dinner time.

Eve’s grin grows larger. “Race you to the Tearoom?”

Rosa smiles, already flying out of Eve’s room.

I feel like that one scene in the beginning of ducktales where Donald was making "concerned duck noises" was a joke as to how the kids can understand him perfectly. Like I feel like it was just all gibberish. But even then, other lines from him were still hard to understand

Yeah, that makes sense! They’ve been surrounded by this their whole lives vs the audience, staring with blank confusion at the screen.

Some of the other lines I just gave up on and went with context clues. Close enough.
