design notes

burning spice has tiger stripes and claw marks !! he has bull hooves and a serpent's tail too, which are all animals of shiva

silent salt has a prosthetic arm based on my own ideas and hcs. the two skulls are representative of white lily and dark enchantress, and a lighter rapier instead of a greatsword because it's a. easier to draw and b. lighter for him to wield

smc leans heavily into the puppet theme but he also has ball-jointed fingers, like a doll! also the two comedy-tragedy masks with the comedy one purposefully framed to face the camera while the tragedy looks away

eternal sugar's top half is very shiny and glossy and smooth, but her lower half is much more frayed and textured and rough to reflect the manipulative side of her beneath the surface

mystic flour is quite literally fading into wisps, with all the cloud imagery. i took a Lot of inspiration from how guanyin is actually depicted anyhow (something about stained hands you cant wash off)

all their faces are hidden! there is symbolism.

When armored boots skate along the polished floor like blades on ice, Elder Faerie can’t help but marvel at the ease of which his silvery guest moves.
