100% the kind of shit Jun-ho sends In-ho without context or any explanation and In-ho is too old for meme culture so he’s just sitting there staring at his phone for 20 minutes with a straight face trying to figure out what this is supposed to mean and if it’s some kind of a secret code (despite Jun-ho having done this to him many times before)

gihun and hyunju are so so similar it makes my heart hurt in the best way possible.
they are both protective, fierce, brave, and compassionate, kind, caring, and also insecure, impulsive, brash.
they are natural born leaders and still have enough grace to allow those who know best to take the reigns when it is necessary.
they both ended up forming a parent-child relationship with an older person they met at the games (ilnam and geumja).
and the death of their younger female companion (saebyeok and youngmi) caused them to become more hardened and drove them into seeking revenge.
and they both have terrible posture lmao

Hi! I saw your post where you compare Jun-hee and Myung-gi's relationship to the one of Gi-hun and Eun-ji and I found that really interesting. Could you elaborate on it?
Hi, also, Yay, my first ask. 🎊
So I might've brainrotted too much with that post but anyway.
Firstly, I see some parallels or similarities Myungi might have with both Sangwoo and Gihun, I feel like he is a mix of both, maybe not in the best way sometimes and more in a loser 1 + loser 2 = loser 3 way, but still. (I find his reasons of being in games similar to Sangwoo, he also had to "kill" people here and wants to invest in "futures" like Sangwoo already had)
Now, with Gihun, I see his obsession with Crypto very similar to Gihun's gambling addiction. Myungi wasn't ready to give it up even though it landed him in the games and heavy debts. He even asked Junhee to again let him invest their money in something else this time. I don't think he is actually knowingly "selfish" or manipulative, but he genuinely thinks this is right and clinges to those investments as his hope. Maybe this could be similar to what Gihun and Eunji were.
Junhee and Eunji both in my eyes have a partner that wishes to be better but is clearly lacking. They didn't have any financial support and I don't know about Eunji but Junhee didn't have much emotional support either. We don't know if Myungi had any remotely valid reason for ghosting Junhee like Gihun had for his absence during his daughter's birth, but even if he did, it will not mean that Junhee and Eunji didn't have to face unfortunate things. I still think the show tried to make it clear that Myungi still somewhat cares about Junhee even though they broke up. I think Gihun liked his wife too, he definitely tried to be better for them. In both cases I don't think the partners didn't like each other, nor are they "bad" people but their circumstances aren't favorable.
In my eyes, Myungi is walking the path Sangwoo and Gihun did (that's their son in my eyes now), he is the early and a little less doomed version of them that still has time to save his relationship and make amends, he still has some time to improve and step up and be helped, before he becomes a father, or before it's too late (still has time to not invest in these futures or whatever that is). Myungi and Junhee might get a hopeful or somewhat happy ending because in s1 neither Sangwoo or Gihun got one.
I know I sound a little like this with this one:

But hey who cares, this was my Myungi being Sangihun's son propaganda along with Eunji and Gihun parallel, idk if it makes sense.
#maybe I am just finding ways to keep Sangwoo and Gihun relevant but anyways#there is Sangihun everywhere for those who have eyes to see#I have a feeling Myungi and Junhee or at least Junhee will survive or have a closure#squid game

No proof that he isn't already

I can't be the only one who thinks that Myungi and Junhee's relationship has some similarities with Gihun and Eunji.

I don’t think anyone understands how deep the connection between gihun and inho is
of course there is many many reasons but the one i see most important is that fact that they BOTH went into the games to make money FOR A LOVED ONE and then won, got the money, made it back JUST FOR THEM TO BE DEAD.
and everyone LOVES to call inho a bad guy, you guys, this man is watching someone, who went through EXACTLY what he did, go through it, and then handle it the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of how he did.
for such a MAJOR trauma (that I believe inho himself still doesn’t fully understand) it makes sense for him to be so incredibly fascinated with gihun and how his brain works (which is also what makes their dynamic seem so lovey dovey)
which brings me back to the beginning, they are almost identical because one of the main reasons they are in the second games is because THEY WANT ANSWERS ABOUT WHAT THEY WENT THROUGH (and are still going through)!!!!
you guys.. i am NOT normal about this show dhmu

There's a lazy writing cop out that I absolutely loathe.
When character A does something really messed up and hurtful to character B and thus chara B stops talking to them, needs time to digest and to work through how they feel about this.
And instead of giving chara B that time, or making chara A actually put in the work to redeem themselves, properly apologize and do something to earn the forgiveness... something tragic happens to chara A and because they could have ~lost them forever~, chara B is suddenly ready to forgive and embrace and all is magically fixed.
No.
No, if you make a character fuck up, then they have to work for the forgiveness, they have to earn it. Near loss should not equal forgiveness, fuck that, I hate that trope so much.
#this because its also kind of invalidates chara B's feelings and ignores them#like they're right to be mad#even if chara A isn't a bad person it is still their fault and they should work for forgiveness

Was trying to make peace with the fact that both the hwang brothers might die in S3, then I realised that Junho's mother probably has no idea where he is and already blames herself for Inho's disappearance. She might never know what happened to her sons if none of them survived.
