Her eyes watered. For the dirt, for the unfairness. "Sometimes I think I wasn't really meant for anything at all."

Ignis has been paying Skylar for years to tutor both Noctis and Prompto. In fact, she was finally able to live on her own and away from her parents at a very early age. She feels weirdly indebted to Ignis for this, but he won’t ever let her pay him back for anything. He feels, in a weird way, indebted to her as well for actually giving the future king a knowledge base.

She doesn’t strive to replace anything that has been lost, but to provide them a space to come to her if they want that from her.
