tw: vent (abt injury in sports)
Sorry I wanted to talk about it, but didn't want to bother any of my friends or family anymore
I hate being injured in my sport. I feel broken, pathetic. All it took was one hit to the recovering injury and suddenly I'm on the floor sobbing and unable to breath. It hurts so bad, yet all I can think is how pathetic i am. Everyone gets hurt in sports, it happens; so why am I seemingly the only person affected by it. I feel pathetic and I know I'm never going to live this day down "remember how pathic it was when you barley got hit and suddenly your bawling on the floor?". Everytime I participate in my sport this is all I'm going to think about.
I hate being injured , I hate being pathetic.

Tbh I believe that for most of us, being alterhuman isn't this crazy thing you think about daily... I'm sure that a good chunk of alterhumans don't notice/care about their identity, and don't even know that there's a word for it, because they simply associate themselves with a being and that's it?
I'm curious as to how many people just "see themselves as wolves" and never mention it to ANYONE
How many people grew up with cats and now feel as if they're part of the species themselves
How many people feel euphoria when horseback riding
Or when swimming
People that just say "yeah I really like dragons" and imagine themselves as one, feeling so beautifully connected to the idea
I believe there's a bunch of us out there who don't even know

did anyone else struggle to accept their theriotype/kintype?
For the longest time I would ignore all the signs I am a werewolf. Id go "I can't be a werewolf, I must just be some weird wolf" for years I tried to force myself into the "wolf" box because that's what I most commonly saw, and who was I to be different?
I now know that I am a werewolf, not just a wolf and I am ok with that; but y'know, that took me a while to accept. So I was just wondering if anyone else went through something similar?

I knew I was a werewolf mostly because of the more anthro aspects that a regular wolf doesn't have. Plus, I always just *felt* that a regular wolf wasn't right.
i can't speak for others, but for me I have one form that looks something between anthroish and wolf (check my previous post for a better idea of what I'm talking about /nf)
I hope this was a decent enough response :]
Hey werewolf alterhumans/nonhumans/etc.
How did you know you were a werewolf and not just a regular wolf?
Do some of you have anthro like forms but then regular wolf forms?
Would like to talk to a werewolf if there's some that'd be willing to talk to me? Thanks!
