New Year = New Housekeeping Announcements

It’s been quite a year. One that I’ve not been proud of to say the least. Especially in terms of work done here. I wasn’t able to achieve what I wanted nor show what I wanted. Given that, maybe I can accomplish that in 2025.

Reflecting back on last year, if there’s anything I’ve learned, it’s to subvert my expectations. Make realistic goals that I can meet. Looking back on my list of ideas and fics to release for 2024… They were quite unrealistic.

That’s not to say they couldn’t be accomplished but to get them out… I would have to make writing a full time job. It’s something I’d love to make happen but sadly reality is cruel 😭. With that though, changes are going to happen in 2025. Starting with the release schedule…

I’ve said it before, I always aim for at least ‘one fic a month’. Have always aimed for this minimal goal but going forward, don’t be shocked that I don’t release anything for a good while. I’m going to try a new release schedule to see how that works for engagement but for me as well.

In terms of writing… It’s been tough. Time has been a huge factor with “life” eating a good chunk of it away. Sadly I don’t think it’s just “life” but my own possible anxiety and the “rust” from not writing so long (a good sixth month). Due to this, I hope with more time to write and the “pressure” of not having to release something, I can give you the best fics I can. Cause no lie… I’m quite upset at myself for not being able to release stuff I think you all would enjoy.

Overall, the creativity is still there for me and the will to write is strong. It’s a matter of putting my fingers on a keyboard and getting stuff going. Here’s to hopefully a more productive 2025 and me (personally hoping) to wow you in 2025.

It’s finally time. What is/are your favorite fic/s you’ve written and posted in 2024?

Staring at the list, this was a tough one. If I had to go with any, it'd be the following five:

Aftermath - Chaehyun (Kep1er): It was between this one or Desperate Housewives: Red Bestie. Decided to go with Aftermath, cause I actually really liked how it turned out in the end. It progresses the story and adds more to it. Writing isn't bad either. Plus, it's Chaehyun! I love that girl!

Blue - Ryujin (ITZY): Pure BFH. Always wanted to write Ryujin and I was able to accomplish that with this fic. Plus it was horny and dirty Ryujin.

One of the Boys: Lil Bro - Chaewon (LE SSERAFIM): Re-examining it, it's probably one of the better fics written last year. I guess the notes prove it lol. For some reason, there was some assumption from me that it wasn't good lol.

S-14 - Sohyun (TripleS): Similar to Aftermath, I really like how it turned out in the end. It moved the story forward and accomplished what I wanted. Has some of my favorite dialogue, if not chemistry.

Desperate Housewives: White & Silver - Miyeon ((G)I-DLE): One of these fics had to make it lol. I still remember writing this fic and how engrossed I was in it. Was it Miyeon's pic used in the fic? Maybe, but I had such a good time writing it. Not the follow up I had for Miyeon's storyline in DH but a fitting one. One that helped spawn a "mini-arc" for the series.

hey librarian, how you decide the background of your story between the character and the OC? still waiting youngeun's the line and sequel of neon orange slip hehe..

Depends... And I know that's not a good answer lol. I usually make sure the character(s) / OC / story isn't close to any pre-existing story I've written. If the story is in a way close, I either 1) Don't write it at all and it's back to the drawing board or 2) I write it, cause I feel super passionate about the story and characters. I then see how can I differ it from the already existing one.

Series are a whole different thing. You kind of need to know where you want to go with the story. Prime example for me is Service Suit: LE SSERAFIM. I know the ending I want but everything leading up to said ending is a huge mystery. Hence no upcoming chapters. All I know is that I want Kazuha in the next chapter lol.

If your talking about "creative process" as a whole. That's pretty tough to answer. A lot goes into it 😂

As for Youngeun's - The Line & Neon Orange Slip - I will try to get those sequels out this year! Please wait patiently 🙏
