Dabi protection squad!!

Dabi high fived Twice almost like “Switch with me, I’ll take it from here!” Almost like you would do in a sports game or tagging someone to switch turns.

Like he knew he can handle Hawks alone and knew Twice needed a way out. Dabi purposely wants to be alone with Hawks so he can tell him something without Twice over hearing them. This why Dabi said Takami Keigo, he obviously has something against him personally.

But Dabi knows how important Twice is from just hearing how he boasted about how with Twice on their side, they have a real chance of winning. Dabi wanted to give Twice the motivation he needed to leave ASAP with that one single high five.

And instead of using both hands to use his quirk, he instead gave Twice one last high five. A true trust in each other that they can do it together, even in the worst situation.

I have a feeling Dabi is going to be pissed knowing Hawks killed off one of their best chances of ever surviving this war. And may even be disappointed in himself for not being fast enough to save Twice. My heart aches in a good way, amazing chapter.
