Jason's expression twisted with concern but there was no trace of anger anymore. His only focus was figuring out where he was supposed to be and it seemed like this woman could offer some help. "..s-sound good." The officer mumbled as he began to follow along, not without frowning, of course. "You're cold..like, abnormally cold. Has anyone ever told you that..?"

Seeing the building seemed to melt the detective's worries slightly but he would no doubt be questioning matters tomorrow.

"Because there are no supernatural citizens in other towns.." Jason rasped with a frown, unable to help himself when it came to this one matter. His past still haunted him, in more ways than one, but he knew better than to be rude to his friend. "The flood was crazy, I'll give you that. Oh..and the bugs. Felt like I was in a Stephen King novel for a hot minute." He said after giving her an apologetic look and acknowledging her point with a nod. "..I do want to fit in, Ney."

How, was the question. She must have thought him crazy to bring his kid into this madness, let alone decide to stay, but Greywood had given him friendships like the wolf's and often, that was enough to ease his mind. As were pubs. The Den, in particular, he had never been to.

They were ready to go in, or at least he thought they were. "...wh-what?" Jace blinked, sounding rather nervous and why lie, surprised by her question. It made him pull at the collar of his shirt, giving it a sniff and looking at the shewolf with widened eyes. "..I don't know..? D-do I? Why didn't you tell me this before? I took a shower this mornin'."

"You know, Greywood itself isn't hard to navigate," Neylani shared as they walked along in casual step- something harder for her than most, because the woman had to actively remind herself not to resort to her usual brisk walk (idleness needled her). "It's no different from any other town, really, aside from its residents." That was the truth, for the most part. There were certainly a few aspects to the place that were only confusing and strange and unique to Greywood, like that mysterious mist that persisted in the woods year-round. But other than that... perfectly normal!

"Though, it's not usual for someone like you to wander in too often," she said this over her shoulder, coming to pause before the entrance of The Den. It was really meant to be for werewolves only, but there shouldn't be any issues if the human tagged along with her for a little while. It would do him some good to see there wasn't anything to stress over about her species- again, for the most part. However... Neylani reached for the door and turned back suddenly, her features taking on a serious mien as she asked, "Actually, you aren't wearing any strong cologne, are you? The scent could set some off.."

She wasn't serious, though. She could just tell that Jace would be an easy mark to tease and make nervous. Most humans new to their world were and one couldn't blame them, either. It was a lot to learn and confront, maybe even alarming in some aspects.

Jason turned his gaze away before addressing the brunette's comment, hoping (bad) that he was not blushing right now. "Fair enough.." he mumbled, "It's...been a minute since I've done this in broad daylight." And with an empty stomach, he thought, that was the worst part of all. Jason was far from a morning person, after all.

Shifting towards her, the detective cleared his throat again and braved a once over, noticing that she..was not too bad to look at either. "But hey, at least I made someone smile, right? Rough mornin'?"

Willow was sulking. She wasn't exactly prone to it but with her van out of commission and her deep fear making her want to flee, she was uncomfortable just about everywhere she was. In her apartment, at her work. Even the park made her itch. It's how she ended up in a cafe with a book perched up against the salt and pepper shakers nursing a cup of tea. It was something she'd read before so she was really just staring at the pages and listening to people around her. That's when she heard another customer's very sad attempt at hitting on the waitress. She was admittedly very pretty but clearly not interested. Willow couldn't help it. She snorted with laughter and glanced over at the man who turned his attention to her.

"A little," she smirked and tipped her head to the side, "With a face like yours you should stick to the brooding far away looks. You'll probably have better success."

A shimmery purple bag with 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY!' scrawled across its side in script has been left on Jace's desk at work. There is a Star Wars themed birthday card inside, where Neylani also wrote a brief message:

TO LUCILLE, I heard May the 4th is your birthday, and Star Wars day. What a special coincidence for a special girl, there's nobody else who deserves it more. Enjoy the concert, and make sure your father gets you your favorite Taylor shirt while you're there, too. I hope he spoils you with all the ice cream and cake you want. And remember, make sure you don't tell anyone what your wish is after you blow out the candles or else it may not come true. My mother told me that and I swear it's been true to this day, cross my heart. Wishing you the best day, Ney<3

A post-it note has also been stuck to the side of the bag with a Visa gift card rubber-banded to it, this one addressed to Jace. J- I found one of those teddy bear plushies from the movie, I hope she's not too old for one? If she doesn't like it, let me know and we can exchange it for something else she wants. Also, I mentioned the Taylor Swift concert in my card to her, so be sure not to give this to her until after you've sprung that surprise on her. "Damn. Did the sun come out or did you just smile at me?" Yes, it had been some time since Detective Stone had attempted a pick-up line out in the real world, but to get no reaction at all? That hurt. A lot. The male had perched himself on the counter, half taken by surprise, and ran his fingers across his hair in an effort to pretend like nothing had happened -but it was too late. Someone was laughing.

"..I'm sorry, was that funny to you?" the male scoffed. Trying to roll his eyes would be pointless now- he was already blushing. Fuck.

When he had gotten the call, Jason Stone had been halfway through his coffee break. He was parked near the woods, checking the local radio in some attempt to distract himself before heading back, and well, this news about some unconscious, marred, naked guy in the woods had been quite surprising. It was a first for him for sure, but in his mind, he did consider the possibility of this being a werewolf. Now, that'd be one hell of a first, too.

So, yeah. He packed light, mentally talking himself into acting as calm as possible not to make it seem he didn't know what the hell he was doing, and followed the trail to the spot that had been described to him on the phone. He found the guy before he could get into the woods. Not so unconscious, though.

The detective watched with arched brows as the man came up, thanking his stars that he hadn't had to poke him with his boot to stir him up and held his badge up to alert him he was with the police. "Let me guess, Axl Rose... rough night?" The guy didn't look like he had been on drugs but that would have explained so much. As it turned out, he was..speechless. "Anyway. Before you..make somethin' up. Mind walking back to my car? I got some clothes in the trunk... are you..?" Jace mumbled, "You know..uh."

The first thing Avery feels is the sun on his face, for a second he thinks he forgot to close the curtains before he went to bed, but as he opens his eyes, he realizes where he truly is : the woods. The flashback comes to the wolf's mind, the full moon, knowing his house was not gonna contain the wolf and that he was not in control at all, he had run to the woods, what happened after? that was pretty much a blur, aside from the pain of the shiffting, Avery could still feel it in his bones. He sits up slowly, realizing two things, one, ( and the one that was the hardest to not notice) was that he was completly naked, "Well, fuck," Avery mutters to himself, realizing he lost his clothes during the shift, ashame really because he loved that t-shirt, the other thing was...he was scrashed and bruised, mostly superficial, the deepest cut was on his chest, but it was still not concerning enough, plus wolves heal fast, right? there's a horrible taste in this mouth, he can't figure out and it makes him gag as he gets up, Jesus Christ was that blood he was tasting? Avery starts to walk, oh, by the way, no shoes either, so that was fun! unsure how he was gonna get home in his current situation, he also had no clue where in the woods he was, proven by the fact that the next thing he knows, he's actually steping out of the area, he has no time to process what's happening because as soon as he leaves the woods there's someone there, all that Avery can do is use both his hand to cover himself up, so he stands there, frozen, naked and bloody, looking like something out of a horror movie, probably, "I--" he starts, "Actually, never mind, I have no good explanation ,other than I swear I'm not a creep..." he would raise his hands to made the other know he was not a threat, but well... he really couldn't could he? so he just stood there, probably the most embarassing thing that ever happened in his 34 years of life if he was gonna be honest.

To Jason's recollection, Charlie had always come across as a little bit aloof. Efficient, sure, but not what you would call social. So this, this was nice and he was actually looking forward to some time well spent outside of those borning, cramped walls at the precinct. Hell, he was already feeling it. "Eh, same... I stopped by the gun range today. Noise complaint. But other than that, it's been pretty chill." Chill as he'd been gifted a shotgun chill. That did not happen every day, or at least he figured not. Eyeing the bartender at the same time as Charlie, Stone put up two fingers and eased back against the chair.

He felt rather comfortable with having beer. Maybe a nice scotch on a good night, but on average, Jace liked to keep himself in check, so he tended to switch to water after a couple drinks. That or..eat. That helped. Looking towards the table, the detective smiled as the other read his mind. "Yeah..I'd love that. Been eyeing these burgers for quite some time." He stood up, picking his jacket as he spoke, and nodded towards the booth. "You come here a lot yourself, Charlie?"

Charlie watched as Jace sat next to him, before he nodded his head slightly. "I haven't been here that long." Charlie said as he picked up his glass and took a sip before he shrugged slightly. "Not too bad, pretty quiet. Got through a lot of paperwork." Charlie turned to face Jace better, making sure he seemed like he engaging. "How about yourself?" Charlie finished his drink off before he nodded towards the bartender for another one.

Charlie didn't make it a habit of seeing his co-workers out side of work. Work was for Work, end of story. Sure in another life, Charlie was always down at the bar after work. Getting drunk, sharing stories of the day. But that was before, before everything fell apart. These days, he just preferred to go home and shut the world off. Charlie licked his lips lightly as he looked over the bar before he nodded towards a booth tucked away in the back. "Shall we head over there, get some dinner?" Charlie's eyes fell back onto Jace. "Probably be a quieter place to talk."

Jace's eyes followed hers as she offered some insight into the culprits of so much unrest. He had been pretty lucky that they had not crossed into any other part of the house or else he would be in serious trouble. "..they are. The human scratched the back of his head in thought and soon, walked up to one of the cupboards.
