I refused to comment on the Marie Ravensoul situation for a minute because frankly, I didn't care that much that she had reverted, but to hear that she's now making videos specifically with the intention to further harm the community is truly distressing, so here are my thoughts on the matter: Marie is clearly a very deeply hurt individual who is still struggling to find her way, unfortunately she has decided to make that all of our problem and if anyone anywhere should be worried about pissing Satan off right now it should be her.
As I was writing this I stopped for a moment to look up her new account and unholy Hell, I'm not sure she ever knew what she was talking about. In reading through the psychotic babbling she posted on her new YouTube, she has very clearly cherry picked random crap from 12 year olds on the internet and was using that to make her basis.
I will make this very clear, there would be no Satanism without the Bible, in that you cannot erase the fact that Satan gets his origins from the Bible just because you don't like it. I'm not telling you that you have to read the Bible cover to cover, though you should as a part of truly deconstructing, but that you can't just change the story because it fits the narrative you want to push. Stop taking religious advice solely from the internet, including me, and there would be less people like Marie.
Be smart.
Ave Satanas.

Do you have any good literature recommendations for Demonology? Ive been picking through an annotated Ars Goetia and, some what I understand, the Satanic Bible and the LaVeyan texts are more on the secular end.
It's just hard to get a grasp on where to start, especially as someone who falls more into the theistic end of things and prefers more esoteric diety work.
First things first, we're dropping the idea of "esoteric diety work". The condescending attitude that accompanies the use of that term, especially when asking for help, will never leave me in a position of wanting to help you.
Second, yes, if you're looking for works pertaining to the theistic side of Satanism, you're going to want to stay away from Lavey. My personal feelings on the man aside, the LaVeyan view on Satan is purely that he is a representation of opposition and not a diety into himself. That being said, reading through the Satanic Bible isn't necessarily a bad thing, it has quite a few core ideas and tenets that are good for applications to everyday life regardless of denomination.
Finally, the best book that the average person (I.e. outside of members of the clergy) will have access to regarding demonology is the Ars Goetia and more importantly The Lesser Key of Solomon that it comes from. It's unfortunate, but the Catholic church is hoarding a wealth of knowledge that is currently completely inaccessible to members of the general public, notably works on demons that are used for training for exorcisms and high status members of the clergy. All of that aside, I have a hard time recommending works on demonology outside of these ancient texts because people today refuse to do their research before speaking and publish works anyway that leave the reader with more questions than answers. Right now my personal favorite "cheat sheet" version of the Ars Goetia is the book The Goetia Devils by Rev. Cain, he claims in the beginning that that's not what it is but it works very well as a super stripped down (only the important bits and none of the thees and thous and even older English that make it a pain to read) version of the Ars Goetia and as of right now that's the only book other than the Lesser Key of Solomon itself that I can confidently recommend.

Greetings, Sister!
I have a question or two for you, if you're able to answer. :)
I'm going to be honest, I've been STRESSING the fuck out about how to write this so I'm going to try and keep it as short and blunt as possible.
I'm young (18) and I have Bipolar, OCD, Social Anxiety Disorder as well as Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I was also raised Catholic and have religious trauma regarding my thoughts and actions being constantly surveilled and judged, which has left me very hyper-aware of my thoughts.
These mental health challenges, especially Bipolar, have made my relationship to religion very conflicting and confusing. I have periods of extreme, unwavering belief in Lord Satan and then I will then constantly doubt His existence as well as my own loyalty, which is very distressing and exhausting.
Reverend Cain was my first substantial step into Theistic Satanism when I was 14. I've read The Infernal Gospel front to back and I've read some of The Satanic Philosopher and The Goetia Devils before I had to delete them out of fear of being caught reading Satanic literature.
I do very much respect and admire Reverend Cain, but the emphasis of complete and utter loyalty irks me a bit. He might have not meant it to be conveyed this way and it's just my religious anxieties, but the "You must be completely loyal and devoted to Hell or else I will smite you and everything you hold dear will be destroyed," really scares me.
Deep down I do believe in Satan and I do recognize him as my Father, but I'm so deeply frightened that I'm not "loyal" enough and that I will be seen as insincere by the Denizens of Hell because of my unstable mood swings and Reverend Cain has commented on how the Denizens feel about insincere followers(?).
What are your thoughts? I understand that I'm young, I definitely haven't had any proper interactions with demons and that my anxiety overtakes me at times, but this is a topic that is important and personal to me and I'm afraid to upset the Infernal Kingdom and especially Lord Satan Himself. :(
Thank you so much for your time, even if you just read and choose not to answer. <3
Signed, a young Satanist who has no idea what the fuck they're doing.
I'm sorry that that was your experience with Reverend Cain's works, I personally didn't have that experience and I hope that youll take another shot at it later. That being said, I think that now would be a good time to take a step back and continue deconstructing your pre-existing religious beliefs. If you're still afraid of Lord Satan and Hell as a whole, now is not the time to truly begin your journey, you cannot be afraid of the guy that's trying to help you if you're going to get far. That being said, something tells me that this isn't so much being afraid of Satan or upsetting him as much as it is being afraid of dissapointing him. (Hello, Catholicism!)
You mentioned being afraid of smiting or being labeled as insincere, but the concern that you show, in my opinion confirms your sincerity. When we talk about sincerity in your beliefs, it's more about intentions than the beliefs itself. Why did you turn to Satanism? Was it out of spite or the selfish need to be the eternal contrarian, or was it because there was something that called to you that felt safe or was even just interesting? People focus so much on prayer and rituals in worship when the learning is worship in of itself, even if it is the most passive form.
Many of the things that I post are more geared towards people who have moved past their initial deconstruction and because of that it has a very heavy focus on the spiritual aspects of worship over the practical, but that learning and deconstructing phase is incredibly important and incredibly difficult. Your faith will constantly ebb and flow, that's human nature as much as people don't want to admit it, especially when mental illness come into play. It's so important to not beat yourself up about it even if that means that you have to step away for a bit.
And finally, even if you decide that this isn't for you, nothing is going to happen to you because of it. I promise.

Happy pride month to all of my fellow members of the LGBTQIA+ community, out or not. Just a friendly reminder that Saranism is 1000% a safe space for people of all ages, race, or sexuality; and my page will always be a safe space for queer people.
Just a little bit about me, I'm nonbinary, I have no preferred pronouns (I'll use whatever), I was assigned female at birth, and last but certainly not least I am gay. The comfort and safety of me and my community will always trump homophobes and their misconceptions of how free speech works.
Love wins now and forever.
Ave Satanas and happy pride!

It's okay to only remember to pray when you're scared. I feel like people don't talk about stuff like this enough, and it leads to people feeling like they aren't doing enough or that their selected Deities are going to be mad at them for being more casual about their religion in their day to day life.
There's no questioning that people turn to religion in times of hardship, pain, and fear as a form of coping mechanism. What we need to remember is that just because someone is only outwardly religious when they're in a panic doesn't mean that they believe what they're saying any less. No one is praying to their selected diety for no reason, and no one who is praying for any reason should feel like their prayers and needs are less important because of how often they pray.
I found myself praying in my car the other day on the way to work when things got a bit scary and it occurred to me that this isn't commonly addressed. You can live your life in a way that honors your religious beliefs without being super open and outward with it. That's not to say that anyone should be ashamed, but your practice should be tailored to how comfortable you are. Not everyone likes to pray, for some it begins to feel like a chore and they stop putting their all into it when they feel forced to do it. If that applies to you, change how you practice.
Whether or not you pray regularly, whether or not I'd encourage it personally, has no merit in your worthiness as a Satanist.
I hope you're all doing well. Things have been rough and finding time to sit down and write has been worse. Thank you for your patience.
Ave Satanas.

Acknowledging the Theistic Satanists who are modest, who wait until marriage to have sex, who never have sex, who hate sex, who rarely have sex, who are monogamous, vanilla, aspec, etc. You are just as important. You are always important. You do not have to meet any criteria whatsoever in order to be a Theistic Satanist. You can do whatever you damn well please and still be a Satanist. There is no one way to be a Satanist. The only “right way” is your way. All Satanists are not the same, and that is the beauty of Satanism.

Death is an incredibly hard subject to discuss at any time, but especially because it is pertinent to my life right now, I want to take a crack at a couple of things that I don't think I've seen any Satanists bring up before.
We have no burial traditions or anything required if a Satanist were to pass away, that being said it would be a good idea to have a plan in place well ahead of time (with the mindset that we will all live to pass of old age) that your family and friends can reference to best honor you.
That being said, how we conduct ourselves regarding others when they pass is pretty standard considering how we are supposed to behave in our daily life. I try to stick to a rule of thumb that I will not pray for anyone who doesn't want it for whatever reason, I don't like to weaponize my religon and in that I try not to pray for people who may view it as an attack even if it is not, and unfortunately there will ALWAYS be people who see it as an attack. It's not hard to ask for consent for those kinds of things, but in the case of a death just use common sense, if they wouldn't appreciate it in life they wouldn't appreciate it in death.
I'm sorry for my absence again, it feels like friends and family are dropping like flies as of lately.

Let's talk about religious psychosis for a minute.
For those of you who don't know, religious psychosis is a mental condition that causes somebody to believe that their hallucinations (both audio and visual) and their ideas that are coming out of this manic state are actually the word of a God or some sort of Deity. This can be really dangerous in any religion, and it's incredibly common in both christianity and satanism because it's so hard to tell the difference between somebody who is experiencing religious psychosis and somebody who is actually had a religious experience.
This is why it's so important that people pay attention to what they are looking at online and who they are talking to online, you never know if the person behind the screen that is telling you all of this information is experiencing some form of religious psychosis. Many people who are experiencing some sort of religious psychosis also have delusions of grandeur. These people tend to place themselves into a higher seat of power, calling themselves a high priestess or a high priest, calling themselves a profit calling themselves the messiah, ect. They aren't doing it on purpose, it just so happens that this is what their hallucinations are telling them, it's not outright malicious. That's not to say that it cannot cause people to do some horrendous things. I mean, we've all heard the cliche of "God told me to" or the "devil told me to." This is where that comes from.
Unfortunately, someone who is actually suffering from religious psychosis will not be willing to seek help, nor will they respond well to being pushed into seeking help because they don't believe that what's happening is bad, they think that this is their god trying to reach out to them. It's really important not to push these people too far but also to not feed into these delusions.
I say it's hard to tell the difference between somebody who is experiencing religious psychosis and somebody who isn't, but there is one tell all, they tend to be much more grandiose about literally everything. Think the crazy mega churches in the southern United States, but then change it so that they DON'T know that everything that they're telling their congregation is bogus, imagine if they actually wanted to help and believe everything they say but still churned out more extremists the way they already do. This is one of the many ways that cults can start because not everything that they say is something super out there and obvious, and if the wrong person sees the right post and thinks that this person knows what they're talking about, there's a high potential that they'll start to overlook red flags. This won't necessarily cause others to experience religious psychosis, though it can happen, more often the people who are following the original person with religious psychosis are not experiencing any hallucinations themselves, but are brainwashed into the hope that if they follow what they're told that they will either be given special treatment in the afterlife or that they may start to experience what we know to be hallucinations themselves.
Please be very careful if you believe that you are dealing with someone who is experiencing religious psychosis, they are not trying to cause problems or harm, they are sick. I bring this up now because the solar eclipse is coming up and there are a bunch of people online right now talking about how it's going to be the rapture or how you'll be able to see the faces of angels/demons if you look up at the eclipse while you're in the path of totality (the strip of land that the sun passes over where the eclipse is the most complete.) None of that is true, please be safe when viewing the eclipse and when interacting with others on the internet.
Ave Satanas!

The amount of misinformation on this app is insane, someone really just tried to say that a literal deity (Asmodeus of all of them), hates religon and doesn't want people to worship him. Not only is this just plain false, but this is a narrative commonly used by people who are trying to divert people away from their faith.
Misinformation and fear mongering are the two most common tactics used by religious extremists to push people out of their faith and into cults, or worse. Please keep an eye out for these people and block and report them. This was an obvious example of someone lieing and making up stories for their own gain, but not all are so overt. Please take the information that you see from strangers on the internet with a grain of salt, especially when it comes to any if the denizens of Hell hating religionas a whole (I'm sorry this is truely just so stupid. In every description of Asmodeus with his followers, hes sweet and excited. Tell me you've never conversed with any of the denizens of Hell without telling me.) I encourage everyone to do their own research into these topics and come to their own conclusions, I have also listed resources more than once so that way there's backing to my claims.
I don't need to name a book to say that Asmodeus doesn't hate you for worshipping him, Hell, he's probably ecstatic. The assertion that he hates ALL religion and all people who adhere to any religion is completely asinine.
Please don't stop worshipping Asmodeus because the under educated demand it.
Ave Satanas.

Happy Easter to all those who choose to enjoy today for whatever reason, whether that be because of its pagan origins, because it's the day before some killer candy goes on sale (same), or for its religious significance.
Today is a weird one for many theistic Satanists, like myself, who grew up celebrating it as the day of Jesus' resurrection. Today can stir up a lot of emotions, some good some bad, that can be incredibly overwhelming. This is especially true for those of us who have to hide our true faiths to appease our family, those of us who are forced to dress up and go to mass despite our protestations if we even feel safe enough to say no in the first place.
Please, be kind to yourself today. Lord Satan is not mad at you for attending Easter mass with your family, for choosing to remain safe and spend time with the people you love. Hell, he had to hide his true goals from God for a while before he was able to pursue them. Sure, your goal may not be to establish true free will, but sometimes appeasing your family for a day is an equally worthy cause.
Ave Satanas!

Hello like your blog. I hope i don't sound like a pedo. At what age should parents, who are Satanist, start to introduce their children to him and how should they go about it?
This is so difficult to answer conclusively and it's not even because of religion or introducing children to Satanism, but because of other Satanists. I'm not sure that there is an answer that will please everyone, but in my personal opinion if a Christian can teach their child about their side, I can teach my child mine.
The biggest issue lies in online forums and the adult media that floods the tags. I'm not going to get into policing how your potentially hypothetical child interacts with the internet as that isn't my place, but parental locks and stuff like that could be a good idea until they've reached an age where it's not a crime for them to click into a Satanist hashtag because of the "extra" content in the tag.
It's so sad that we even need to talk about this, there should be more SFW and family-friendly tags surrounding it, but I fear that even if they were created they'd be quickly overrun.

I promise I haven't forgotten about this account, I'm trying to redraft the format for the demons of the Ars Goetia, but my book got stolen (borrowed with permission by a friend) and I'm still working with the police (her husband) to get it back (remind her to read it).
Thanks for your patience.

Please feel free to say your piece on this, I'd just like to say that this is not covering anything that is not specifically an offering/e-offering/digital offering. This poll in no way has to do with using A.I. for commercial use, and in no way do I agree with the use of A.I. generated art on anything that is for commercial sale. I also do not agree with the use of A.I. for the purpose of writing books/scripts/whatever the unknown was supposed to be from that wonky Wonka experience in Glasgow.
For anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about, the same way that people may make art as an offering for a diety or demon of their choosing, people have started making essentially moodboards as digital offerings. It feels like a more mature version of the "reblog to cast" spells and stuff like that that was really popular (and may still be) among different pagan/spiritual/witchy blogs of Tumblr.
