Christopher showed Eddie how to make his phone wallpaper a rotation of photos. Eddie couldn’t decide which to choose so he picked every photo in his camera roll that’s not like.. a sunset or something.

It’s all pictures of Chris. most of them are Chris alone, or Chris and Eddie, Chris and Buck, or all three of them. there are some more that have Chris with Carla, Pepa, Abuela. Chris with various members of the 118. Eddie really likes the one of Chris and Denny playing laser tag in the Wilson’s backyard.

there’s even a picture of Chris and his parents, but Eddie debates taking it out of the rotation every time he sees it.

Eddie gets used to smiling at his phone every time he turns it on. his favorite changes everyday but right now it’s the picture of Chris and Buck asleep on his couch that he woke up to with his alarm this morning.

It’s been a couple days and Eddie is still getting used to seeing all the photos, feeling the joy every time he turns on his screen. maybe that why he catches himself smiling at some of them for what is objectively way too long. maybe that’s why it takes him so long to notice the photo he’s been smiling at isn’t of Chris.

It’s of Buck. Buck, alone, reclining in the grass in Bobby’s backyard and basking in the sun that’s reflecting off his hair. Buck with his eyes closed, feeling at peace. it’s a really good photo. Eddie really likes it. Eddie really like Buck.

oh. Eddie really likes Buck. Eddie loves Buck.

It still baffles me that it took thirty something years and being actually kissed by a guy to make Buck realize he was bi when Eddie’s intro scene, which is from Buck’s point of view, where he’s changing his shirt and “Whatta Man” is playing in the background, exists??????
