The entire song of Champagne problems has always stunned and infatuated my mind because Taylor found a way to perfectly capture the feeling and emotional reaction when you’ve finally released that you’re the “villain” in someone’s life. Especially when that someone held you to the highest pedestal known to man and now that person is forever let down by you. Their heart was glass, a glass so fragile and gentle bc u made that person feel special but now that you’ve dropped it their distant, cold, and sorrowful even at the slightest mention of you. I made a joke well it’s made for me now means we shared laughter together, but now your jokes consist of the pain I caused to your now wretched heart. She would’ve made such a lovely bride what a shame she’s fucked in the head will always remind me of how every bad person was once good and how they’re own experiences, trauma, and self doubt caused them to be and feel afraid to love. In my opinion however, the most painful lyric is she’ll patch up your tapestry that I shred bc it metaphorically paints a beautiful picture of how someone’s entire existence can be affected by one person and how if that one person leaves they will feel as if their life and who they are will never be the same, no ounce of happiness and love can exist in their life without that person until a new lover comes in their life and saves them. Saves them and their heart like a hero and doesn’t break their heart like the villain.

I hate how much a man can control my mind. The capacity he has to take over all my thoughts of my dreams and interests with the thought of his luscious brown eyes and fluffy hair instead. i’m more than disappointed in everyone who has contributed to remove the scene where taylor steps on a scale and it says “fat” in the anti hero music video. it’s not fatphobic just because you are self centered and offended. it’s one of the realest and most important things taylor has ever done in her career and the first time ever she’s been so vulnerable and honest when it comes to her insecurities and the hell she’s been through. you’re calling her fatphobic but where were you when the media have body shamed her FOR YEARS? where were you when her body was constantly the only thing they talked about? this woman went through hell and back, being called too skinny or too fat ALL. THE. DAMN. TIME. she opened up about her eating disorder during the 1989 era, how she was starving herself and working out way too much and how she was looking at the pictures taken of her and hated her body and then when she started having a healthier relationship with her body and gained weight during reputation era YOU ALL WERE SAYING SHE WAS FAT AND STARTED COMPARING HER 2018 PHOTOS TO 2015 PHOTOS!!!!!!!! the scene in the anti hero music video was not fatphobic. i’m sorry taylor. you deserve much better and i hope you always know your real fans are by your side.

what people don't understand is that "midnight rain" isn't just about not getting over an ex or thinking of your ex while you're in a relationship... it's deeper than that. when you think about it, taylor could've been a wife and a mom by now and not a singer if she wanted to... she could've a normal life out of fame if she stayed in that town. but no she didn't. she pursued singing and is now successful. and midnight rain is one of her midnights where she thinks about a different timeline if she chose a different path.... it's bittersweet.
