If you live in a red state/red district and have never contacted your Republican reps before, now is a golden time to start. Y'all know liberal talking points won't phase them, so you need to be calling/emailing and speaking their language. Demand to know why the Republicans are soft on crime with Trump pardoning the Jan 6ers. Demand to know why Republicans hate Christian values by their attacking the Catholic Church. Demand to know why your tax payer money is going to incarcerate illegal immigrants in prisons. Gulf of America? More like why not the Gulf of Lower Egg Prices?
Call them. Most importantly, speak their language.

I was raised with the teachings that there was women's work and there was men's work, while it was never directly stated it was heavily implied the entire time
The catch was, most of the time I was the most able bodied person on the ranch, sure I was a kid and couldn't lift heavy things and I lacked experience, but I was the one who could climb up onto the large equipment with ease and pull out the 5-25 pound batteries without a serious risk of falling, I was the one who could crouch down and reach the low shelf to get the various cast iron out. I could crawl under the cars to grab a dropped bolt, and then roll over and put said bolt back into place. I can stand in the kitchen all day and cook a large meal while discussing the weather for repairing fence the next day
I was simultaneously taught what women's and men's work was, while also being taught how ridiculous that distinction was
I don't think it was an intentional lesson, but they seem pretty satisfied with my ideas. They admire my guy friends who can cook and keep a clean house, and they marvel at my girl friends who work out and do hard labor. It's definitely a novelty idea to them each time, and they share their astonishment and admiration with me once my friends leave, but they never speak ill of what my friends do, only ever concern that their lives are balanced and that they enjoy what they do
There's no real point to this post, just sharing some thoughts and observations of my life as I sit by a fire I made, crotcheting to relax after cutting and stacking wood. In a while I'll go make myself dinner, it's to spicy to share so just cooking for myself tonight
