Eddie walks into the kitchen, him and Chris just returned from El Paso; “Chris is settled in his room playing video games, I swear that boy is making up for all the time his abeulo had him playing chess in Texas”

Buck gave a soft chuckle, neatly placing a ball of cookie dough down on a tray; “Well, do you blame him?” He turns to his friend, suddenly seeing him in a new light. A light the stopped him in his tracks. The evening sun cascaded through the window shining onto Eddie, making his skin look golden and hair glitter. ‘Maybe Tommy was right’ he thought to himself. “So since you two are back, I should start finding a new place” Buck blurts out, trying to draw his mind away from his exes words.

“Hey man, take your time” Eddie said in response, “We love having you around and I’ll never complain about the constant rotation of homemade baked goods” He continued, reaching pass Buck to grab some raw cookie dough, slightly brushing Bucks shoulder in the process. Buck suddenly realizing just how close his friend was standing takes a step back. “I just don’t want to be a bother, this is your place anyways, I was just subletting and I don’t want it to become awkward between us now” Buck stammers out “Plus where are you going to put your bed? I have mine set up in the main room and Chris has his room, You can’t just sleep on the couch” He rambles on. Eddies taken a back,

“What would be awkward between us? We’re just two bros sharing a house. Plus think of the gas we can save by carpooling” Eddie oblivious to Bucks thoughts adds in. Buck ignores his comment and continues “Plus what if you want to bring home a girl? Or I bring home a date? It’ll just be weird” Buck takes another step back, this time wanting to just curl into a ball to avoid this with Eddie, ‘Why won’t he just take the hint’ he thinks to himself.

“Why are you being so weird about this Buck?” Eddie pressed, sensing a weird vibe comimg from Buck as he talked

“Because Eddie” Buck stops himself and thinks for a moment, really wanting to find a way out of this conversation. Eddie looks at him, his eyes almost screaming at buck to just spit it out. “Because Eddie, I love you” Buck pushes out, barely louder than a whisper. A look of confusion washes over Eddies face, ‘There goes my best friend’ Buck thinks to himself, used to losing people for having large feelings. The awkward silence becoming too much for Buck to handle he turns to give Eddie some space, just as he spins on his heels a hand grabs his wrist and he’s pulled in. Eddies lips crash into Bucks, their hands finding eachothers waists pulling eachother closer and leaning more into the kiss. Fireworks explode in Bucks head as they pull apart from eachother, resting their foreheads against each other.

“Good, because, I love you too” Eddie says with a smirk.

hello friends can i share my personal vision for buddie’s first kiss: it’s the end of the season. either ep 17 or 18. eddie and chris have moved back into the house with buck. buck has been making noise about moving out but he’s made no real move to do so. but now that the dust has settled he’s fully realized that he is in love with eddie. who is “straight.” and so living with him is unbearable for bucks poor heart, because he just wants and wants and wants and this is so close to the life he imagines, but it’s not the real thing. it can never be the real thing.

so they’re in the kitchen, and it’s dark out but the kitchen is warm, and he tells eddie he’s moving out for real. and eddie is like, eddie voice: hey man no rush. we like having you around! and somehow the conversation pushes them to a point where buck has to explain why it’s so important that he moves out now. so he tells him, with all his earnest buck honesty, and even if he doesn’t say the words it’s undeniable what he means. and he promises eddie that nothing has to change and he’s going to get over it, and then he goes to leave.

and eddie, who has basically been stunned quiet this whole time, panics. and catches his wrist, new girl-style, and pulls him back in, and BOOM. KISSES HIM. romantic stylez, soft and deep and all-consuming. and when he pulls back, buck is wide-eyed and fluttery eyelashes and full of that particular buck awe. the music swells. eddie smiles.

and then. the episode ends.
