Ok here’s my dry shampoo recipe for those who were interested. The bottle I used is 2 oz; I love that I can throw it in my purse! Just make sure you shake it really well with each use. I love the smell of Doterra whisper, but any oil will do. I’d also recommend lavender :-)

DIY Moisturizing Lotion Bar
If you’ve never heard of a lotion bar, it’s pretty much a solidified lotion. It acts the same way a lotion would, it just has a different texture. At first, I planned to make a lotion, but decided to try something a little different.
Ingredients:
Cocoa Butter
Shea Butter
Beeswax OR Candelilla Wax as a vegan alternative
Carrier Oil of your choice (I used a oil blend that I already had since it had most of the oils I intended on using which are Sea Buckthorn, Rosehip Seed, Cranberry Seed, Meadowfoam Seed and Vitamin E Oil)
Essential Oil (optional - I didn’t add any because the Cocoa Butter has a lovely aroma that I didn’t want to diffuse)
Materials:
Double Boiler
Measuring Cup or measuring spoon
Silicone Mold
Note: As far as measurements, I usually eyeballs my ingredients but know that you can easily reheat on low temp if you aren’t happy with the texture. Keep in mind that the more wax you use, the harder your product will be.
How to make:
Begin by heating your double boiler on high temp. Add your wax first since it takes longest to melt, then add the rest of your ingredients. Stir until melted. Pour into your silicone mold. This will dry quickly, but I like to stick it in the fridge for an hour or two to completely let it solidify.
Bam! You just made yourself a Moisturizing Lotion Bar!
Ingredient Benefits:
All the carrier oils in the Stretch Mark Oil blend pictured and Cocoa Butter are well known for moisturizing, soothing and reducing the skin of scars. This includes acne scars, stretch mark scars, surgery scars etc.
I hope you enjoy your handmade Lotion Bar. If you have any questions regarding this recipe, feel free to message me!
Happy Healing,
Jacqueline, the Plant Lady
